  1. I believe he scored one premiership goal, I think we both know that Kyle wasn’t even close to the standard required. He didn’t do well in the championship either. Dobbie didn’t play as a striker in the championship in England and was a very good player at that level - Kyle wasn’t. Anyway, who gives a f**k - back to the proper stuff...
  2. Kevin Kyle was not on the same universe in terms of footballing ability as Stephen Dobbie. Kyle had a purple patch at hearts and Kilmarnock - that was his entire career.
  3. I sometimes wonder if certain people realise that people do actually occasionally skip by the best players in the world in midfield too...
  4. I don’t think this has been posted already, sure many will have seen it already but the other end of the ground video is truly beautiful: Robertson smashing the ground McGregor doing whatever he is doing. Gilnour going down with cramp.
  5. It is a completely fair point though, Patterson played against a champions league standard winger at times the other night - Ramsay hasn’t came up against that standard yet so it remains to be seen.
  6. As much as I’ve just said Nisbet was poor v Moldova, it would be incredibly harsh to write him off. He is still young, but needs a move to a better level and to kick on again as he’s already shown he is capable of doing.
  7. It was nothing to with not scoring a hatrick, he was very poor. I’m sure he expects better if himself, so why attempt to say it was a decent performance. If Nisbet wants to replace Adams then he needs to take his chance when given it - at the moment both Christie and Fraser will be ahead of him and rightly so. Nisbet will get another chance at some point.
  8. Like everyone else, I wasn’t remotely confident with Dykes’ penalty. Based on our shoot outs, and yesterday’s starting side my first choice would be McGregor and second McTominay. McGinn would be before Dykes too.
  9. Half time was definitely very flat, even compared to the Moldova game. Obviously down to Dykes miss but still - second half was better.
  10. I’m normally quite reserved at the football, but it was just one of those games you got completely absorbed by. Screaming for every decision, going absolutely mental at the goals and dishing it out to the Israeli’s (one particular moment when Bitton was having a go at Robertson in front of the North Stand as they bizarrely wanted the ball back when their player fell over and kicked the ball out)
  11. Hendry is decent on the ball, but he can’t bring the ball out anything close to what McTominay did at times last night. He is obviously better defensively though.
  12. The evidence is my eyes, and the quite evident physique they both have... Tierney’s calf is around the same size as Hickey’s arms and legs combined, not even discussing his glorious quads... You aren’t really giving anything admitting that Hickey is behind Tierney and Robertson, he is lightyears behind both and I’ll be delighted if he gets close to either in time.
  13. I would assume he would be, that doesn’t change that he is miles behind the likes of Tierney in terms of conditioning.
  14. He is maybe a similar build to what Tierney was when he broke through at Celtic, but doesn’t have anything like the same aggression/physicality in his game that Tierney had. I’m assuming you aren’t trying to say that Hickey and Tierney are currently the same physically, as that would be fucking ludicrous. Hopefully Hickey undertakes the same style of strength and conditioning programme that Tierney did.
  15. I meant who are the several players Hickey should be in the squad instead of... He may be able to play RB btw, although it’s still to be shown but he absolutely cannot play CB - he is built like a child and would be completely bullied. He has some serious work to do athleticism wise.
  16. Is he though? Both can be poor defensively, Hickey better on the ball but Patterson with far more athleticism for driving forward is potentially fair.
  17. Couldn’t have told you that - can’t really tell that type of thing at the game. Umtimately though, that isn’t a consequence of him playing RCB, he would still be marking at set pieces if playing as a CM. Dont disagree with anything your saying tbh.
  18. So, in an ideal world we want to have guaranteed progression and to be seeded by HT in Moldova, get everyone booked and then play a reserve side and take a pumping off Denmark!
  19. Surely to f**k they clear bookings before a play off?
  20. I think this is pretty spot on - I think he has generally been fine defensively with us but there is clearly some work to do there. If he can improve his shooting, he will be unbelievable.
  21. This - I don’t remotely understand the McTominay bashing after yesterday.
  22. Yes, because Stuart Armstrong equates to Scott McTominay. You are massively overselling how poor he was defensively, he gave away one free kick and bar that Israel created one chance. Is our best back three now include Hendry, Hanley and Tierney? Probably. But against poorer teams that sit in, both McTominay and Tierney offer a lot coming from deeper.
  23. I don’t think raw is a word that fits in with Billy Gilmour tbh.
  24. Yes it will - McTominay brought the ball out of defence wonderfully at times last night, we need that against the Faroes.
