  1. Tomorrow is absolutely huge, not just in terms of the individual result but in terms of building momentum and playing into some form. Another poor loss and I don’t see where we go from there…
  2. So, this relegation thing is getting worrying again now…
  3. I do get what you mean, but I can’t remember a top being quite so universally disliked as this one. A more out there style top generally has a more even split, but you are only seeing the very odd person that likes it.
  4. There is absolutely nothing about that top that will make it a classic in thirty years. Unless we win the Euros, of course.
  5. So much for it looking better when you see the real thing, what an utter mess of a strip!
  6. All of us just getting error codes and can’t even get in the waiting room!
  7. I think it’s a bit harsh to label people wanting Ferguson to play Abroad League thinking, given the season he is having in a major league and that it is looking quite likely that he will be playing for one of Europe’s big clubs next season. In terms of numbers etc he is having an equally excellent season to McGinn and McTominay. Obviously there isn’t an argument in terms of McGregor as they play entirely different positions, and he has been excellent for us. The only debate there would be potentially moving McTominay deeper to play alongside one of McGregor and Gilmour. As discussed above, there absolutely is a debate as to whether Ferguson is a better option behind the striker for us than Christie - depending how Clarke looks to set us up. Anyway, I’m looking forward to seeing how the keepers, Shankland and Ferguson are used in these friendlies!
  8. Should be irrelevant when you have VAR though.
  9. A blatant penalty at the end there, it is a standard booking as well at absolutely any other point of the game or area of the park.
  10. I can only see this as a positive tbh, and regardless it is hardly a great deal of time commitment.
  11. I think this is pretty much the crux of it - both seem to pull off outstanding saves and make basic errors every so often. As long as Clarke doesn’t make them every game! Other than that, Albinson is better coming from his line (not that he is great at it, but Clarke seems poor at it) while Clarke is better with his feet.
  12. Plus, even if he doesn’t want to stay - he is here for as long as the current starting keeper so no idea how that’s even relevant to anything!
  13. I can understand why he would be frustrated if that was how things unfolded tbh. I would find it quite bizarre if he has been told he won’t start again though, given he is our only back up goalkeeper right now.
  14. Can’t take any enjoyment out of that Ireland loss, infuriating as f**k! We have absolutely fucked an opportunity to win it.
  15. Genuinely shameful refereeing from Beaton, just no excuse for that level of incompetence to not give a foul there.
  16. Ahh okay, good stuff! The line up in that one will be interesting.
  17. I put Dumbarton on a league winners accumulator with Dundee United and Hamilton. Each way so the other two are fine, but I’m really starting to dislike Dumbarton!
  18. Thanks. Strange we didn’t try to get some game time into McGinley in particular.
  19. Looked like a very young Queens Park side too. Which first team players played?
  20. That sounds utterly horrific, hopefully not! I feel like I’m being incredibly harsh on the young guys, but I really don’t see much in Tomlinson. He can run in a straight line if there is space in front of him, but anything outwith that is pretty horrendous. I didn’t see the Airdrie game though, so I don’t know if he offered a little more going forward there.
  21. I just can’t see how we have the players to play that tbh. I don’t think he’ll drop McGinty, ultimately Sanders has made individual errors too and we looked far more solid with Stanger next to McGinty.
  22. I’m not sure goal scoring form is a poor metric of your value to a team, particularly when you are scoring at that rate but obviously there is far more to being a striker (particularly a Scotland one) than that. I agree with everything else you say though, I think he needs to start against Netherlands to see what his style of all round play does against a team of that standard.
  23. If Rodgers is rightly called out for his nonsense, McInnes and Kilmarnock equally should be for his comments and appealing what is a blatant red card. Incredibly poor stuff.
  24. IMO, I would be moving Hickey across and bringing Patterson on before Taylor moved there too.
