  1. Ringo Deathstarr at Cabaret Voltaire on Friday. From Austin, pretty much the best band in the world just now for me.
  2. I'll always mind David Berthelot for his belter assist against Brechin (for Craig O Rly) to stay in the First under Calderon. Magic.
  3. After really enjoying last season and seeing us improve so consistently I did think about eventual promotion and what it would entail. I don't really want to be in the SPL at all, TBH - we'd have to spend a bit to avoid humiliation, and that spending would be a heavy burden should we come back down. The OF are proper offensive to me and I hate seeing them in the North Stand, and pissing in the gardens of Pratt Street; tearing up Stark's Bar or whatever. I want to win every game and the 1st means a great deal as a prize, but the Premier is a dead end really. UNLESS IT WAS SIXTEEN TEAMS AND IT WAS BARRIE
  4. What a drag that is, poor guy. The South Stand's right behind you Ronnie.
  5. Which one was Nieto? I'm picturing Bornes and Ferrero but obviously he wasn't them.
  6. Joo Magoo's never been one for throwing young guys in though really, has he? Last 15 mins on Sat maybe, but I'd be very surprised if he started. He's coming into a team that's doing well because they work hard, and work for each other - I don't want anything to upset that, personally. If he puts a shift in and can add something, then great. 7. Agreed - Simmons is also our only player - as far as I've noticed - to see an easy pass to Player A but give it to Player B, who is being closed down a bit quicker but will immediately move it to Player A, who is then in that bit more room than if Simmons had given it straight to him. (There is probably a name for that but uninitiated as I am I don't know it.) I do think he's by far our best footballer when he is motivated, and if we have any ambition to retain the ball he needs to be playing.
  8. I totally accept that Calderon's budget was pretty big and what he achieved, aesthetically tremendous as it was, was little more than the minimum expected - but I still remember it as fondly as any general period of Rovershood that I've known. I've been watching the Huesca results, which have mostly very good, and managed to watch them online a couple of times. Albacete is a definite step up and will be aiming at promotion - should they manage, I'd love to see Calderon and Paco in the away dugout at Camp Nou or Bernabeu. I'd probably keich my brain, in fact.
  9. Asking for directions to Central Park for the sing-song, probably.
  10. We Walk = tidy!

  11. Can you sell ads on the blog or does the host do it? I tipped off the Scotsman lad (RR fan) a few weeks ago, glad he's run it finally!

  12. Long flight on Tuesday past: Fantastic Mr Fox 8/10 The Pianist 9/10
  13. £30 on Inverness @11/5, Returned £66. Softened the blow a bit!
