Murray is now in almost a no win situation with the fans, in that if we pick up now and finish the season comfortably in the top six Malpas will receive the credit but if we continue to stumble along as we did throughout 2014 Murray will be blamed. I suppose it can be argued that Murray has brought this situation on himself though.

If we do sign him I hope it's an 18 month deal rather than another 6 month short term offer.

I would be tempted to change the formation to three at the back, which would've meant we could have let McKay go, played Conroy at left wing back and punted McKeown onto the bench. We need another striker and a full back more than we need McKay I think. I know it's not easy to move players on at this time of year but we have a few I'd be happy for us to release if they could find other clubs in other to give us a bit more scope to freshen things up.
