Yeah that was a sore one. We were down to 10 men when we scored as well. I think St Mirren won the league that season but we were on the fringes of the promotion race for a good part of the season.
He's had a shocker for months by continually persevering with De Gea when he has a perfectly competent goalkeeper on the bench.
I expect he'll stick by him and then look like a rabbit caught in the headlights when De Gea costs them a place in the Champions League with a howler against Leicester.
Watching Open for the Ages on Sky just now. Basically putting together footage of the top golfers of the last 50 years and turned it into the final round of the Open at St Andrews. Tiger and Nicklaus are the final two ball out. Butch has even come out of retirement to provide some commentary.
The use of VAR for offside has been a nonsense all season. Instead of measuring offside by the millimetre just run the line along ther freeze frame and if the player doesn't look clearly offside just allow the goal.
The commentators are continually going on about how Barnsley don't look like a bottom 3 team but watching their play in and around the Leeds penalty area I can see exactly why they are where they are.
Yeah I feel a bit sorry for Thomson as he was impressive in the few games he played before he got injured (again) against Falkirk.
Having said that I wasn't overly convinced with him in his first season and would've been concerned if he was going to be our clear no 1 this season.
Hopefully we can work on an exit route for Mendy to allow us to bring another centre back in as working from a pool of Davo, Bene, McKay and Mendy doesn't fill me with confidence. MacDonald will certainly be kept on his toes anyway.
A bit harsh on Miller considering some of the others given new contracts. I can only hope it's because McGlynn has an ace up his sleeve for the right back position.
