  1. I knew I'd mentioned it somewhere but couldn't see on this thread. I thought the weed had finally caught up with me Glad you enjoyed it.
  2. Ah the Foodhallen nice one, I actually ordered from Viet View yesterday. I don't even recall mentioning the Foodhallen but it would definitely be one of my recommendations.
  3. A dreaded sunny day, So I meet you at the cemetery gates.
  4. I consider myself fortunate to have seen Bobby Linn in action on a couple of occasions, great player and I thought he was brilliant in the last game v Hamilton. I was at the game against Forfar, I think it was the 2018/19 season, where scored a hat trick including a lovely free kick, I spilled pie grease down my jacket applauding that goal.
  5. Last year around this time I gave a crow a bit of a dog treat and he/she would meet me at the same place everyday and follow me for part of our walk, about a month ago he reappeared and follows us right round the park, yesterday a woman asked if the crow was with me I replied yes, she laughed as if I was joking so I bent down with a treat in my hand and he took it, the woman was suitably impressed, I feel like I should name the crow, any suggestions?
  6. Cat sitting, dog walking, watching 1860 Munchen v Freiburg ll and then the Killie game, perfect Saturday. Down with the monarchy etc
  7. Well done Arbroath on securing your Championship status, my girlfriend's dad was over from The Netherlands for it and even got to meet his hero Bobby Linn after the game. I really enjoyed the Arbroath TV commentators, the guy with the heavier accent sounds like a character.
  8. Hiya Lichties! Will Arbroath TV be showing the Hamilton game?
  9. Haha yeah the climbing up for a cuddle happens very frequently these days if it fits he sits, last night he was on my chest I dozed off to the sound of his snoring.
  10. I'm continually surprised by the resilience shown by this little guy, he's 16, has kidney issues, arthritis and an over active thyroid but is still trucking along, he sleeps a lot and has days where he won't eat much ( bloody loves boiled chicken though ) but is still pretty active and has a mad turn every couple of days, he's also becoming very chatty in his old age, I know that in the not too distant future it'll all catch up with him but for now I'm spending every waking minute hanging out with him, fell asleep with him on the sofa last night and woke up with a sore neck but it's totally worth it.
  11. It's been bugging me who Brecel reminds of - it's Joe Cole.
  12. The only part that still needs some work is the baggage situation but if it's a stopover i imagine you won't have to deal with that side of it, I've been through Schiphol 3 times in the last few months and my girlfriend travels a lot for work and we've had no issues getting through security, it's still not perfect but it's much better than it was.
  13. I'd choose Leiden over Den Haag, as @welshbairn said Haarlem is also a nice option used to live there and head through whenever I get the chance, if you do go to Haarlem check out Jopen brewery. Also the security situation at Schipol seems to have improved considerably since last year.
  14. I'll admit I feared the worst when I saw the team sheet - I couldn't work out how we were lining up defensively, wasn't sure if it was a back 3 or 4, it totally threw me but what do I know I was happy to eat some humble Killie pie, think there was a bit of lingering fear from me after the first half of the game last week. I thought Chambers and Watson were great and Alan Power was back to his very best ( I've always been a bit of a Power fanboy ) the whole team put in a great shift also thought Vassell led the line really well and hope his injury isn't anything serious. And well done to St Mirren on securing a top 6 finish.
  15. Just seen our starting 11 ooooft. Congrats St Mirren on an easy 3 points. Hope I'm wrong though.
  16. She loves rolling around in mud as well, takes ages to get her clean but she's a sweetheart
  17. First time I heard it I just thought it was some Dutch techno tune, I was waiting for the beat to drop.
  18. They've had something similar here in The Netherlands for years, at midday on the first Monday of the month they test it you get an alert on your phone and the air raid sirens go off, I've lost count of the amount of distressed tourists that have approached me wondering what was going on sometimes I have a laugh at their expense and say it's the apocalypse, I suppose if you live in a Country that is mostly below sea level something like this is quite a sensible idea.
  19. Amsterdam in general is really safe just back from Glasgow and a day in Ayrshire for the Killie game took the Dutch guys I play football with they loved it despite the score. I think there's a metro stop really close by, it's crazy flat as you probably remember so is great for walking about and yeah the prices have gone up considerably. Feel free to fire away at me for more advice if needed
