  1. Yes that's the one, don't get me wrong i had nothing but respect for him especially after seeing the photos of his Icelandic odessey, he wasn't your usual teacher and i liked that plus the guy he chapped with the hammer was a fanny, i was a bit scared of him but we had quite a few idiots in our class so he had to be firm. Mr Dempster was a good guy used to see him at Rugby Park.
  2. RE teachers love a melt down, seemed to be a new one every month at our school.
  3. Mr Kerr was our metal work teacher in secondary school, he was a tough guy no doubt, he'd sailed a tiny boat to Iceland and gave a presentation at assembly on it, we used to joke that he rowed there with weetabix in his arm pits because he loved pain. We were about to start the lesson, a guy in class was wearing a walkman (it was that long ago) and was tapping out a beat with a hammer on the desk, Mr Kerr took exception to this, marched over grabbed the hammer and cracked the back of the guys hand with the wooden handle of the hammer then just stared at him until he took off the walkman, everyone just accepted it because it was just Mr Kerr being Mr Kerr. Not actually a melt down, in fact perfectly normal teaching in North Ayrshire in the 80s.
  4. My first Killie away game was at East End park in the 1988-89 season, John Watson ripped us apart, Pars won 3-0, it was a great day out regardless of the result, it soon became apparent that the season wasn't going to go our way.
  5. Is there a launch ceremony in the bath upon completion?
  6. Watched PTSDee last night, Dee going to Dennis style lengths to get back at the stripper for calling her his rock bottom, she's amazing at being a terrible person.
  7. Watched Bart on the road last night, fantastic episode! Skinner inventing go to work with your parents day so he can go on holiday "tomorrow you will learn by doing and apply your knowledge of fractions and gym to real world situations" Skinners face when he sees Bart in Hong Kong. Barts national grammar rodeo alibi. Radar love blasting out the stereo. The look of content on Nelson's face with his feet up in the car. Nelson seeing Andy Williams. Bart the end "don't think I'll go next year getting too commercial they forgot it's supposed to be about the grammar. So many more scenes I could've mentioned they sure don't make them like that anymore. Definitely in my top 5 favourite episodes.
  8. Hahaha brilliant! I did all the celebrations, channelled my inner child, i was Pirlo, i'd signed for Killie and we were pumping Barca in the champions league final, of course after we beat Ayr in the semi final.
  9. If you were all by yourself, who took the photo? Girlfriend took it, she didn't believe me when i said "I'm away out to play"
  10. Missed playing football this week so last night i went to the little street court behind my apartment and ran about like a daftie for half an hour myself was like being a kid again, scored all the goals then presented myself with the motm award, might do it again tonight.
  11. Most likely just a puppy thing, the grey Frenchie in the photo in my previous post was a nightmare when he was a puppy but eventually calmed down. Maybe get Kong toy that you can fill with treats or hide treats throughout your living room, this will give him a bit of mental stimulation and potentially expend a bit of that extra energy, basically the dogs nose rules their brain.
  12. A snapshot of my week, overwhelmed by the support our company has received from our clients this week, most are working from home, almost everyone is continuing with daily walks, some have even said they will continue to support us financially even if they need to withdraw their dog due to self quarantine. I'm usually quite pessimistic so it's been a pleasant surprise how much support we've received from our clients, i feared the worst at the start of the week.
  13. Massive queues outside the coffeeshops last night when it was announced everything was closing, I'm sure someone here will make a fortune while stocks last, it's going to be like The Wire.
  14. Absolutely not, been here for many years and you can tell the real dealers from the guys with crushed up paracetamol plus I've not had any chemicals for a long long time. Will be interesting to see how it all pans out when everyone starts running out of weed.
  15. I had to drop off a set of keys today with a colleague that lives in Amsterdam's red light district, no hookers to be seen but some guy did ask if i wanted some charlie.
  16. Same here, i've felt my anxiety levels and ocd rising up a few notches, normally playing football twice a week is my therapy but thats stopped for the time being, my old mum isn't the healthiest its certainly having an impact on my mental health, living abroad at times like these is difficult. Luckily i work outside and that is helping for now but who knows what's around the corner. Hang in there mate.
  17. Lovely sunny day here in Amsterdam, pretty much everything is shut and folk are supposed to be working from home and have been told to try and keep a few meters distance from each other, are they listening? Nope the parks are full, folk are treating it like its a holiday.
  18. The Netherlands going into lock down, all schools, bars, restaurants, coffeeshops, sport schools all closing till 6th April.
  19. If he was working last night, he did a grand job! Yeah he was on the mixing desk, saw a couple of photos taken from his viewpoint, would love to see From Scotland with Love live, i'll make do with the dvd.
