  1. Aye fair point. I'm clutching at straws a wee bit but IF the two new lads are decent on the ball then there's still plenty experience ahead of them in McGeady and Murphy... Notice Senga is quite tall as well so maybe give us a wee bit more presence in there too. Obviously if one or even both of them are rotten then we are in serious bother...
  2. Plus anyone else who negotiates themselves a release before the end of the day
  3. We've not controlled many games in the last few seasons even when we did have some more experienced players in midfield tbf
  4. Aye that would put me off especially as the seating tickets at our level won't be allocated. Would be like QoS away a couple of years ago where there's folk arguing with stewards and standing in aisles etc as wanting to sit with pals / family and stewards not opening the wee bit of terracing as there's the odd single empty seat dotted about etc.
  5. Arbroath really is a must win. Can't be going in to a run of Queens Park / Partick / Raith while potentially already bottom
  6. FFS Olly i'd had a couple of beers when I posted this, didn't mean for you to take it personally
  7. Leaves us with only Bryden that's managed more than 1 goal in the 7 games so far
  8. We can only dream of being as good as poor at full back
  9. Will Ahkeem Rose score 10 goals for Ayr Utd in all competitions this season. 1 so far v Alloa. I'm saying no.
  10. It's just not clear if Bullen has any input in the signings or not for me. The "head coach" being given a squad to work worth is what they do at Chelsea etc at the top level but I'm not sure it's working here.
  11. Is it Bullen to blame, or the recruitment team. Pendlebury is the perfect case to discuss. He's been signed on I think a 2 year deal while Murdoch and Dempsey are fit. Maybe 3rd choice, would like to think Is a centre mid so will presumably be better than or challenging them considering it's a new signing. Paul Smith presumably 4th in line at this point. Pendlebury Has scored 2 goals but possibly at fault for conceding one at Morton. The first 2 get injured and he still can't get a start. Smith comes right in and Musonda who is never a CM in a million years becomes the main man. We then sign Jack Young. A centre mid. Is it just me or is something going seriously wrong here? Who signed this guy that by mid to late August is 5th choice CM behind Murdoch Dempsey Smith and Musonda, and then we sign ANOTHER in the same position? So Pendlebury is now presumably 6th choice on a 2 year deal. That's mental. And no amount of Bullens shite tactics should deflect from that.
  12. It's very fickle of me and I don't mind admitting, but I like to stand at the football and have done since I was 5 when I first went, now 39. Always done half way line shooting up the way,in line with 18 yard box into SRE. My son is 7 and has a season ticket for the terracing, as does his grandpa. It's rubbish now - we have to either go to the stand and sit (me and grandpa don't like it) or stand behind the nets at the front row so wee man can see a wee bit (shite view for the rest of us). The fact that it's awful football, and in my personal situation a rubbish experience compared to normal, and 2 quid dearer, I just can't find any motivation this season. Edit - it's a very personal moan that, and I am of course 100% in favour of the work that's getting done on the new stand etc
  13. Really hope I'm wrong but I can see a repeat of the absolute pumping we took at Arbroath under Hopkin next week.
  14. They'll rally eventually. Think we are doomed. The alarm bells are absolutely deafening right now - this team has relegation written all over it
  15. Yup. Them and Morton making a day of it. Us being easily and boringly and very very predictably beat. Really depressing season this
  16. There have been a few that didn't need that - Bangala / Gondoh / Kenyon etc. I'm probably on to a hiding here as have only seen him in 20 mins v Alloa, just seems weird with the 2 strikers we have starting he's still not seen as ready to take over.
  17. It's hardly being stated as a fact, just seems strange to me that after being here a few games he's not seen as ready to start.
  18. The only positive I'm taking is that I'm not going today. So I either miss the shit show that I fear is going to happen, or its the latest in a long line of surprisingly excellent games I've missed that I can add to my 'funny story'
  19. That starting XI would be in the bottom half of League 1 We are absolutely fucked this season
  20. Watching Ayr lose at home to a supposedly out of form Inverness. Truly one of life's great pleasures
  21. Probably the most accurate sentence your database has ever produced haha.
