  1. What the f**k is a family sports day anyway haha? What a big fanny he's turning out to be. Footballer from London signs a 2 year deal to further his career then realises he might not be in London all the time
  2. That reads as though we didn't actually get to the stage of making an actual offer to Graham himself last week.
  3. That's the way I see it too. Daire seemed very McGuffie like to me - great off the bench at times then usually disappointing when he started. Seemed a gold guy though so hope he does well back in Ireland. JML would be a 50/50 keep for me - again, tends to be poor when he starts but seems to be confidence based, infuriating when he faces up to a full back then cuts back when you know he has the pace to beat him. Ashford a very useful squad player IMO
  4. Not seen it reported anywhere but came from what I'd consider a 100% reliable source at Thistle.
  5. Sounds like we made an offer for a very experienced Championship striker this week but he chose to stay at his current club and no doubt he will add to his many goals scored against us next season.....
  6. Dipo tweet maybe suggesting he isn't happy we haven't accepted? Unless I'm reading too much into an emoji
  7. I'll stick to my seemingly wild theory that these guys would have chosen the likes of Dundee Utd or Ross County over Ayr even if we did try and sign them.
  8. Are there any realistic 'types' of signing that folk wouldn't complain about? Genuine question. So far there's been complaints / criticisms about: Scottish League 1 players - risky as not proven at Championship Scottish Premier / Ex International - risky as 34 year old and possibly past it Young loans from England - might not settle like Brad Young Scottish guys we've heard of from English lower league- could be like Maguire / McAleer English non league players we've never heard of - could be more Gondoh than Dipo. Average / poor but at least known Championship players - like Salkeld etc. Most folk would presumably be happy if we were signing the likes of Turner / Doc / Holt from Partick or Grimshaw from Morton but sadly it's madness to expect us to be out-bidding the likes of Ross County / Dundee Utd for these proven top end Championship players. Extra risk with there guys is if you chase them all summer then they decide against signing then you are left panicking a bit.
  9. That's a cracking strip. Really like the home one as well.
  10. In that totally made up scenario then anyone claiming it was a penalty would have been shot down due to the fact it simply wasn't one. And if we hadn't been awarded it then we wouldn't have been unlucky, it would just have been ref / VAR doing its job correctly.
  11. Is Stanger any good or likely to be coming in as backup? Only clip I've ever seen of him was when he had an absolute Nuke against Hamilton in the playoffs, hoping that was just a bad 5 mins
  12. Wonder who might become available from Partick if they do go up
  13. You are probably right, I'm definitely someone who doesn't get carried away either way. Couple of decent full backs and keep Chalmers and we'd have won the league. Fortunately the off season is about 3 weeks these days . I'm off to visit the family back in the good old USA in July and won't be back until the league Cup has started- pipe dream is to take a break from it all and get back into it then but reality says il still be checking this daily
  14. There's a lot more positivity after the two playoff games than there should be IMO. The season itself was good, above expectations. Playoff was a disgrace though and I can't understand how anyone can justify any positivity about that. We lost 0-8. We wouldn't even beat Stranraer or someone like that 8-0 over 2 games
  15. He will surely come back and be a starter for them now they are down - proven to be one of the best players in the league and already on their books.
  16. Killie showing some baws and despite being fucking rotten win 2 massive games in a row to stay up while we get pumped 8 scud and some folk still celebrate it. No wonder they're on here gloating.
  17. Which for all the praise McCall's coaches get, sounds familiar...
  18. How fucking small minded are we to be talking up Ian McCall, who is out of a job after being deservedly sacked before his replacement Kris Doolan (who at the time was coaching 7 year old kids at Queen Margaret among other places) has came in and turned them in to a cracking team who have just absolutely destroyed us twice? Jeez.
  19. Exactly- he brought McCowan in from nowhere away at Thistle right at the end of season to start and he was superb, yet earlier in season we had been playing about everyone out of position to avoid having any kids on the park.
