  1. Should move to Serie A or La Liga because Brexit ball down there is not suited to a player like him.
  2. VAR honestly could be the only thing that unites every set of fans in this league. Yes, a decision or two can go in your team's favour one week but you just know that the following week you'll get stuffed by it. The amount of decisions going both for and against Hibs since it came in are absolutely baffling and if I was new to watching football/SPFL I'd probably think, nah stuff this. The implementation of VAR has been a disaster and this crop of referees has to be the worst that we've ever had up here. Every single one of them was already completely useless without VAR and they have somehow got worse since it's come in to 'help' them. What is it going to take for the league to take a pause and think we've ballsed this one up? In my opinion, it would only be if a cup final or title decider involving Celtic and Rangers happens where there is a season changing decision wrongly given. What a mess.
  3. Tell me about it! We've now joined the party after today so let the fun begin. I don't think we can sack another manager this quickly without the club coming across as almost unmanagable. In fantasy land, the owner sells up and f's off but he'll be far too stubborn for that and hope his son can find more gems in League 6 abroad.
  4. I've never seen that before for a VAR involved pen. Surely the on field ref must look at the monitor to make the final decision?
  5. Spain and Cyprus are fun aways so it's nice to look forward to them. However working our backside off to be pot 2 only for us to get a fake pot 3 team with that monster Haaland is very cruel.
  6. We've failed to address any single bloody issue from last season and instead taken gambles on B team punts and a past it winger. Johnson will be lucky to make it until the world cup break.
  7. Another fun trip to the Falkirk stadium... First half I thought we were utterly disgraceful but Falkirk harried us and played well. They should have been about 3 up by half time so we got pretty lucky to still be in the game. Big improvement in the second half by Hibs (we couldn't have got much worse) but my christ if we thought we had squad depth then it was emphatically answered tonight that we do not. A lesson hopefully learnt by the manager that you don't disrespect Scottish teams by starting bairns, especially away from home. The midfield 3 pretty much all need to not be the starting 11 centre mids otherwise it's bottom 6 and sadness. Every single defender including Porteous now have me pretty worried for the tough start to the season unless we can bring in a season-changing centre back and replacement for Doig. Our scouting over the last few years makes me doubt that
  8. I have a horrible feeling it would be no again but worth another punt and lets see what happens next October. It surely can't be any worse than the current Westminster lot.
  9. Maloney-ball. What an atrocious first 40 mins in a home game in a match we really have to win. Really think we call it quits on this project in the summer. If United win this then the dark thoughts of an 11th placed finish are back.
  10. A key part of a recruitment team that got more right than wrong and based on podcasts he's been on, he seems a good lad that knows his stuff. Ex Hibs players that were successful, talk quite highly of him too especially when they speak about how they were convinced to join Hibs in the first place. To get players like Bartley and McGinn to join Hibs whilst in the Champ was a huge thing for us. McCart and McGrath saga was a bit strange but the club has been all over the shop since the summer so it's hard to say what really happened. If Mathie really cares about Hibs though then Hanlon and Stevenson can hopefully be your first 2 January signings!
  11. Oh I'm fully expecting SDG to be running through the streets of Philadelphia in full on Rocky montage mode to get ready for the big day. In all seriousness, the semi's is the best chance of beating one of the OF this season so bring it on.
  12. Hopefully a chance to see our old friends on the pitch again.
  13. Ach well. First 15 was a battering then we were the better team until about the last 10 mins but we can't get away with some of that defending. Considering we had 4/5 first teamers out then it's fine I guess but bloody hell Gogic man. That was as close to a 0/10 as I can remember from a Hibs player in recent years. Time for the exit door.
  14. Struggling to find the game as don't have Premier so match updates thread on .net it is.
  15. Goldson and Tav back to sleeping with the lamp on now that fans are back. Cowards.
  16. At least Hibs went out to 11 men Malmo. Going out to 10 men Malmo is just embarrassing...
  17. Every sign of progress made this season has been met with a swift boot in the baws which is making it very tough to be optimistic for next season. It's going to be an interesting summer and to be honest aside from Boyle, I wouldn't be fussed who is moved on. Boyle obviously was awful on Saturday but over the season I'd dread to think where we would have ended up without him. Hopefully we can get some decent money whilst we can for Nisbet and Porteous then try to improve on the old guard of Lewi, McGregor, SDG. Ross has generally signed pretty well but he really needs to get us playing better and winning more especially at home as our Easter Road record in particular is completely unacceptable for a team finishing top 4. I feel we may be in Pat Fenlon 2013 territory here where a few wrong results to start next season, especially Europe, could lead to an absolute meltdown from the supporters. Glory Glory eh
  18. If I was a tricky winger and I recognised the standard of refs in our country then absolutely I'd fall down every chance I could. The worst standard of officials we've ever had so if you dive 3 times in the box then chances are you'll get 1 pen. Happy days for Hibs but disgraceful decision and could really cost Ross County. Richard Gordon gave the game away years ago with his gloating at our relegation whilst gushing at Hearts fans donations to keep their club alive. He can GTF as can the rest of the bowling club on Sportsound.
  19. I can see clubs pushing for it to be introduced next season especially as most in Scotland will need every penny they can get. Pre-Covid, Ron Gordon had quite a few plans for improvements around the stadium and a better match day experience in general so I'd imagine he'd be all for it. Aberdeen's chairman seems to be the type that would vote for it too. Anne Budge rents their pitch out for a fiver to Underbelly for the Festival so she'd accept bevvy money. I'd be really surprised if it was smoothly introduced though since the Police and Government would likely panic initially but if it could be brought in as a trial or even for low risk games then it makes sense. Hibs games except matches against the OF, Aberdeen, and Hearts would pass trouble free with alcohol sold surely!
  20. Trouble ahead at Hibs but congrats to St Johnstone who completely deserved it. Not even gonna bother to watch Ross get angry at interviewers because he is a complete wet blanket of a man. If he got sacked tomorrow/resigned/stayed for 8 years I really wouldn't feel a thing. Are we Aberdeen without the European games?...
  21. Completely disgraceful performance and result following on from a shocker against Ross County too. The team looks knackered which is a concern so hopefully a few new players this month once we take Tam off of furlough. I rate Jack Ross and the job he has done so far has been impressive. However if he continues to play Stevenson, Hanlon, and Mallan then he will end up out of a job. What the hell has happened to Doidge too?! Wee word for Livingston who I thought were brilliant and absolutely deserved the win. They played some nice stuff, looked strong at the back and came with a proper gameplan so it wasn't a case of Hibs being done by a plucky team of triers. Worth a fiver bet for the Betfred cup.
  22. What can you say really, Joe Newell and Hibs couldn't be more unlucky. Ah well, at least turn on the telly and see what Nicola has to say cause it can't be complete lockdown again when our cases seem to be lower than England. Oh wait... Right well at least the Scottish Cup Final on Sunday will distract me for a bit. Ah baws the thought of a Hearts win makes me feel very uneasy. Honestly if you don't laugh you'd cry. What an absolutely brutal time and hopefully folk that are understandably toiling get the help an support they need.
  23. I feel we are being kept in the dark about how this all seems to be getting out of control again. Folk in Edinburgh in general seem to be complying from what I've seen. Pubs have been shut here since September/early Oct, cinemas etc have been closed for months, and football grounds closed. We are pretty much in lockdown apart from being able to get a coffee or a happy meal if we want. Therefore there must be a key driver to all of this that needs to be dealt with in order for things to try and function again. If it is the schools then get the classes on zoom calls and adapt to these times. If they battle on with keeping schools open then we'll end up with pretty much every other industry financially gubbed. A Northern Ireland style lockdown from say 27th/28th December will be a huge kick in the nuts.
