  1. Hmmm. I know this one. You can wash your face in a Twitter but not… No, my mistake, that’s a buffalo and a bison.
  2. I fully envisage Levitt signing for Hearts for £250k when we get relegated. Then being brilliant again and moving on for about £2million a year later.
  3. You reckon? I think we’d just about manage to hold on for a nil-nil as long as we didn’t pass back to Birighitti… https://www.thenorthernecho.co.uk/sport/23167501.steve-howey-tells-hilarious-story-newcastle-losing-no-one/
  4. This is the No.1 story on the Daily Record website today. Not the property section. Not the sports section. The whole site. For them, the most important breaking news story in Scotland, nay, the world today is “Man Sells House!!!”
  5. You’re far too optimistic. Would snap your hand off if you offered me this right now. How often does it need to get called off before we get awarded it?
  6. I’d be pleasantly surprised if O’Connor could spell his actual name correctly, never mind a false one.
  7. That would make for some interesting post match press conferences as he went through each one of our players explaining why they were such utter shitebags…
  8. Any ideas what the story is with Hamid, the American keeper? Did we actually sign him and we’re just waiting for a work permit? Has it all fallen through following the departure of Asghar? Did it ever get past the rumour stage? Assuming the guy is remotely competent this would be the biggest boost to our survival chances.
  9. Nope. Although if we manage to avoid relegation Goodwin might be a candidate.
  10. They were slaughtering United last week so fingers crossed…
  11. I don’t tend to pay too much heed to the whole “pals in the media” thing, but I’ve just had a look at the Dundee United section of the BBC website and by f**k they seem desperate for Lennon to get it. Every story headlined “Who next for United?” or similar is accompanied by a picture of Lennon, they asked United fans about him specifically, despite the fact there are no credible or serious links with him. Mind you, if I was involved at all in the football industry I wouldn’t be happy if my so-called “pals” were pushing for me to get the poisoned chalice that is the United job at present.
  12. Well, if things are going half as badly as some people like to suggest they are Ogren would surely have to stomach some kind of hit on his investment even just to cut his losses and move on?
  13. Caniggia was the breakout star of the Italia 90 World Cup at 22 years old and was already playing in the best league in the world at that point. Admittedly, I know a bit less about Garry Harkins career…
  14. I don’t know if that’s the better or the worse option out of 2 options that are both completely bollocks in the first place.
  15. And the similarities don’t end there: “and the move is subject to a work permit being issued.”
  16. I would agree that before now Asghar has had a lot of stick, much of it unjustified. But, in his role, I assume it was him who released Carson and went into the season with Eriksen & Birighitti. It was him that decided not to replace Eriksen, leaving us right now with only Newman who has never played a game at this level as far as I’m aware. If we had started this season with a competent keeper at this level (like Carson) I’d say we’d be an absolute minimum of 5 points better off. So it looks like those decisions on their own could be enough to relegate us. When you make a mistake that likely relegated us then you deserve the sack. That’s before even considering Lewis Neilson, the appointments of Ross & Fox, Tony Watt, the January window etc all of which have been major errors. Some more understandable than others admittedly, but all of which have hit us hard on the field of play and in the wallet.
  17. To be fair, once a manager fails at Cowdenbeath, that’s usually their next step. Promoting them several divisions is a bold manoeuvre. And, for the avoidance of doubt, by “bold manoeuvre”, I mean fucking lunacy.
  18. The pass out is daft. The pass back is fucking horrendous (on target, with the keeper right on his goal line). What Birighetti does with it is even worse.
  19. I’ve not been jumping up and down screaming for Asghar to go, but if he’s the guy who sanctioned releasing Carson and going with 1 unknown keeper and 1 who had been there for 6 months and everyone seemed to agree was shite then I’ll be first in the queue with my pitchfork chasing the c**t out of town. That is the decision more than any other that will seal our relegation. Just like going with 2 total fucking diddies in goal did the last time.
