  1. Two sets down, and he’s not played badly. Kokkanikis is playing extremely well and has carried his form from pre tournament into here. Murray needs to get inspiration from somewhere.
  2. Looking like a great night for Murray if he can pull out a win. Ruud, Fritz and Schwarzman all out already, and Zverev and Bautista-Agut all losing. If that stays the same every single seed in his quarter will be out. Tough tough ask for Murray, but hopefully he can play as well as Tuesday and has recovered well.
  3. Wins 10-6 in the championship tie breaker with the luckiest of net cords Well deserved win, tremendous performance.
  4. Couldn’t keep that performance level up and we are into a fifth set.
  5. Murray must have read Lex’s post. Currently two sets to love on Berretini, playing vintage tennis from yesteryear.
  6. I forgot about that game, that was magic. I don't think the owner could actually cope with the amount of cheating I did as a moderator. I could create youth players and kept generating them until I got good one. Create/Delete. You could also look through the non human teams for great players, and transfer them in. Went full on Sith Lord with my skullduggery. He'll be in the jail for sure
  7. I am deeply insulted. Would you like a pint?

    The Walking Dead

The torture is over. Walking Dead has taught me a valuable lesson - just stop watching when you stop enjoying it. It isn't worth the time or effort for persevering. If there is a hell, and I end up there, it will just be getting forced to watch this 24/7 on a loop. When Walking Dead was great it really was magnificent, but only three great episodes in a season of 16 isn't really worth it. Even this last season, it's just a rehashing of other seasons but on a grander scale. Even the trailers for the spinoffs didn't even look that great. You could have saved it all by just having Eugene die in the most gruesome way.
  9. Actually Simona Halep was caught very recently so maybe they are testing more often these days.
  10. As different mixes give different results. If I know Djokovic needs to take an electrolyte mix to aid cramping 45 minutes in, I’m going to elongate the rallies so he cramps sooner. Even if it was dodgy, they’d all get away with it, due to the lack of testing. By the time WADA has caught up by banning substances the players move on to something else. Unless you forget to read your emails like Sharapova.
  11. Holger Rune became the first person in Masters History to beat five Top 10 players to claim victory. The other person he best was Stan Wawrinka, that’s a well deserved first Masters. It was only the fifth time Novak has lost a final from being a set up. Rune will be top 10 from Monday. Alcaraz has pulled out of the ATP finals, so Rune may be an alternative for that if there is another pull out.
  12. That’s a nothing story - that’s just electrolyte powders being mixed. Depending on the players physicality different ones will be prepared before consumption. Andy Murray also has this done particularly when he was cramping in the North American swing. It does look pretty dodgy though. A few extra urine tests on the players would at least give the illusion that the ATP takes it seriously.

    The Walking Dead

The only good thing about this is there are only four episodes of this torture left. (Episode 20 is available).
  14. I’m the same. Enjoying it, but I’m ready just to see utter violence. Ive struggled for the first ten minutes in the recent episodes until you see Paddy Considine looking more like skeletor and realise there’s been a time jump.
  15. Yeah I enjoyed it too, mainly for nostalgia but it was good fun. Don't think it was as funny as the first two but I would imagine that's because I was a kid then and I'm a boomer now. Didn't mind the graphics, I played the original Monkey Island not that long ago, so the graphics for these types of games don't matter. I agree the ending was utter shite, but so was every ending to Monkey Island. Same rules apply - everything has a purpose, if you haven't used it yet, just keep trying it on different things until it works.
  16. Kids day at the Laver Cup - doubles match practice - Nadal and Federer Vs Djokovic and Murray. Imagine seeing that for free?
  17. There with have it, the beginning of the end of the greatest period of tennis that's ever been. Federer retires. Without his brilliance Nadal and Djokovic would never have reached the height they did. No matter which one of them you think is the GOAT everyone will be in agreement that they are the three greatest players ever. The reason those three were the greatest is that they got to play each other so often, learning to win against Grand Masters meant they had better experience and had seen all the tricks and trades so that even in the twilights of their careers they could and still can see off the best of the rest. Although I never actually rooted for Federer, I wanted him to lose against Nadal and Djokovic, he was just utterly cool and suave even four hours into a five set epic. While there has always been doubts about the legitimacy of Djokovic or Nadal's physicality, you could never say that about Federer. He really was that good. Legend, I feel sorry for anyone else that retired this year in the men's or women's game, as they aren't getting into the Hall of Fame. Serena and Roger have that wrapped up already.
  18. I just realised as well when I am "mourning" as the Queen died, I can sit on my arse all day and play this instead of working. AND it's talk like a pirate day.
  19. As I am a total boomer that remembers fondly playing Monkey Island 2 on 11 separate Amiga discs, can I use steam on the xbox? Or will I have to use steam on my Surface Pro to play this? But they have my money already. Like every one else I love evil Murray Bwahahahashahaha. Herman Toothrot can go straight into the bin though. And if anyone wants to argue about it I challenge you to some insult swordfighting: I ONCE OWNED A DOG SMARTER THAN YOU!
  20. And there we have it the youngest ever ATP number one. Carlos Alcaraz with his first slam title, and no doubt the first of many. Casper played very well, but just couldn’t maintain his level towards the end, but that was mainly as Carlos upped his game. A really wonderful final, and Mens tennis will be absolutely fine without the Big Four. Sinner, Ruud, Alcaraz, Felix and Ruud will all keep getting better.
  21. Thy drop volley to save set point was incredible by Alcaraz.
  22. The main difference between the two is that Casper Ruud knows exactly what he can do and what he can’t do. Alcaraz has all the shots in the world, but doesn’t have the experience of knowing when to play them and when not to yet. Ruud’s serve and main strokes are holding up better than Alcaraz’ shots currently. You just feel if Alcaraz can just play a little better he will run away with it. But Ruud is going to continue to play his solid 8/10 game and he’s looking good for the win with that.
  23. Ruud beats Khachenov in four sets, which means he’ll be the new number one if Alcaraz loses tonight or he wins on Sunday.
  24. Ons absolutely destroys Garcia in that first set, slicing her way through Garcia's attack. Ons has totally ripped up her playbook and is playing in a different style. Such a talented player with great variety.
