  1. Added another blog post HERE featuring Bo'ness and Lithgae
  2. I can remember the corners being Skol lager in the 60s.
  3. Sorry, I meant the goosander was on a decent day but you might get a better mandarin today, decent forecast, mine was iso 1600.
  4. Just discovered this thread. I grew up in Loanhead - there's a place that has gone downhill since they opened Ikea and Asda and suchlike up the road at Straiton. We have a Gala day too and I remember at the crowning ceremony they used to read out all these good wishes from the people of Bo'Ness. At that time nobody had a clue where this strange place was. Then they released this basket of doos which were seemingly all flying off to Bo'Ness but everybody knew they wheeled round and back to their dookit just up the road.
  5. Aye but the light that day was v poor. Could do with going back. It spent weeks hiding on the island till about 3pm and only recently has been taking part in the breidfest
  6. When ICT were in the lower leagues Arbroath was a highlight of the season. That bar at the harbour that had a whole menu full of rum (Smugglers?) and going down the wee alleys to buy smokies still hot from the shed. Magic.
  7. I was in Hoy a while back. No feckin statues there.
  8. I'll see your goosander Tam and raise you a bigoted Porty duck
  9. Spooky. Saw a kingfisher today for the first time, well Mrs Mantis spotted it first, I'm blind as a bat. Also there's a mandarin duck been hanging around a pond in Portobello all winter.
  10. You can turn a duck into a singer-songwriter. Just put it in the oven till it's Bill Withers. Ach, I'm a bit old for this board anyway.
  11. Ibrox always had the Archie Leitch criss-cross thingies, you could tell it a mile away. Cracking Firhill shots though.
  12. Updated my blog with a wee piece about Stark's Park including pics with the terracing.
  13. Hi guys, just a couple of things. First, paying my respects to Ally who seems seriously ill now. I never met him but I'm a fair age and knew of him over the years. Also a wee mention of Mickey Lawson who managed my team Whitehill the past 3 years and played for the Rovers in 1980-1. I follow his blog and he mentioned Ally in his blog when he first heard he was ill. The link is here if you're interested. Finally a wee plug for my own blog here where I've done a piece about the San Starko with some photos going back to the terracing.
  14. Stuart & Tam aren't exactly immune either. Do you think after all the hoo-ha at the semi final last season, you'd expect people to remember who Josh Meekings is? They were talking about Meekings a couple of weeks ago and trying to remember who he played for. Stuart suggested Killie at one point.
  15. Guy I know Shaun Smith was there too.... http://100groundsclub.blogspot.co.uk
  16. As promised, better late than never.... Went to Kilbirnie yesterday, that makes 200.
  17. See when you're travelling west on the new M74 near Hampden. There's two sets of lights to the north, near each other, I think one's Shawfield but what's the other one?
  18. OK I got this up and running. I started with a post about Hampden and I've got a couple of shots from being there with ICT in 1997 when the South Stand was down. You could see way over the South side of Glasgow. Should be easier now to get all my old scans online. Blog is HERE
  19. Just found this thread. Away back on page 1 I see ICT Chris has plugged my Caley site HERE and also my grounds page HERE. These pages date from about 2000 and are unlikely to be updated due to my software being obsolete just like my skills. They just show how web design nowadays is unrecognisable from back then with html Anyway, looking for advice as I still have some usable pics that nobody has seen. I thought I might start something like a blog. Anything which lets me post up pics with minimum effort. Any suggestions?
  20. Yeah I was at that, in the huge Celtic end, think they had about 80 000 at it.
  21. Just noticed the first 2 images of Stark's Park are mine... Cheers anyway f_b
  22. Very impressive Jute. I like a man that resists the temptation to bore the arse off everybody else by listing all the grounds especially the SPFL ones as if it's a big deal :
