Admittedly that's one thing the EoS is better at. But - in the 'real' seniors you play league games Home then Away. How many times does this happen at our level? The team I watch can play numerous games away from home on the trot then it'll be a run of home games. In the Juniors the teams that won cup-finals got prize money. I spoke to someone who helps out a club that won a trophy last season. As well as getting a trophy all they got was a share of the gate (after expenses had been deducted including the price of a match ball - who got the match ball?!) In the Juniors there was prize money not only for the winners but also the runners-up.

One bad situation? Here's another example. In the Juniors the away team in a cup-tie received a share of the gate or if that wasn't enough then they'd receive a guarantee. You could be drawn away from home in all cup-ties (with the exception of the South Challenge Cup) and get hee-haw but you've got to pay travel expenses to players taking their cars or the bus hire.

Was it not in the Juniors that clubs had a week to lodge a protest? In many ways I feel that the Juniors were far better run than this so-called 'Senior' Association. Anyone else agree?

Great to hear that were was a decent crowd. But where do these supporters go the rest of the time?

Unplayable about sums Suarez up. Both goals were ones ones that he could score but not many others. He's a player that you'd love to have in your team but if not you can't suffer him. For me, a couple of guys who fall into that category would be Wayne Rooney & that Balotelli boy at City.

Tayport had two amateur teams.One played in Dundee leagues and the other in Fife. (Pretty sure the Dundee one was the stronger side) The other team from that neck of the woods was North Fife (played junior from 1977-79). Not sure where they played. Some reckon Newport and others say it was Tayport. Maybe superbigal can shed some light.

You're right Beastie that there was a team from Eberdeen called Rosslyn Sports but the original Rosslyn were from Dysart (not Kirkcaldy!!) Not sure where the name 'Rosslyn' came from. There's still a Rosslyn Street in the Gallatown area of Kirkcaldy and I mind years ago my uncles used to scoop in the long departed Rosslyn Bar. Pretty sure my old man celebrated my birth there but obviously my memory from that day is a wee bit blurred. Rosslyn lost 2-1 to Glasgow Perthshire at Tynecastle in the semi of the Scottish Junior Cup in 1931. Must've been a decent side then. You watching Robroyguy?
