I've used buses and trains to get around the UK. On a coach I can take a bigger bag than Ryanair, and it's generally included in the price. On a train I can take any size of bag I fancy for absolutely f**k all. I'll generally be treated with respect by the staff in both of those scenarios too.

Ryanair are miles worse than either of those options in the UK.

If it's a choice between Ryanair or the train between the south of England and Scotland, it's an absolute no-brainer. Train every time. Bus takes too long, obviously.

I actually agree. Living in Edinburgh, it's much easier getting the train to London than a flight, if you want to go into actual London and similar in time from door to door. And it can be cheaper/ not much difference if you book far enough in advance. Wouldn't say they were miles worse though.

I've never really had a problem with Ryanair customer services personally. And found behaviour on chartered flights full of package holiday customers to be much worse.

My wife has to fly with them for a short business trip soon she said she'd rather pay herself to fly with literally anyone else.

You can't check in until 24 hours before (easy jet is a month) oh and you also for some fucking reson need to a paper copy of your check in. She physically won't be anywhere near a printer. Don't worry though because you can do an early check in, for a price.

Oh and her walk on bag has to be the size of a napkin or some other bullshit.

They are a shower of c***s and I'd love to see them go tits up.

It's a bus in the sky. Genuinely don't know why folk get so up uptight about low cost airlines when they wouldn't do it about train or bus companies.

My problem with Ryanair is their ticket price increases.

Apart from the usual "it's an MI5 conspiracy" tinfoil hatters most Nats are, quite rightly, rather subdued on the matter.

A cope about the cope. It's Copeception.

The folk that seem to be defending Murrell most vociferously (snp supporters) are also the people he's allegedly been stealing from. It's like 2012 in Scottish football all over again

I thought it was excellent but grim as f**k. I'd definitely recommend it but have no intention of ever watching it again.

It's excellent. But it would be even better with a proper actor in the lead role.

Tories on the radio this morning saying that they think that "education and tax" are a way to deter young people from smoking - as opposed to Sunaks* idea of making it illegal to sell fags to people under a certain age.

I wonder if any of those who walk into the other lobby are in the pockets of Big Tobacco?

It's by a comfortable distance the beat thing sunak has done.

I don’t make light of mental health issues but having read various extracts from her book I’m wondering if she has a problem.  She comes across as totally delusional; everything bad that happened during her short, disastrous period as PM was someone else’s fault.

At the very least she's being massively badly advised.

I'm utterly fascinated by how delusional she appears. Not sure I can think of an equivalent politician to have had the failure she has experienced, then doubled down.

That is surprising. Governments who use the phrase "from the river to the sea" just want peaceful coexistence with Jews.

    Sarcasm.

They said death to Israel, not Jews. I daresay some might be antisemitic. But the logical leap from 'they criticise Israel, so therefore they must be antisemitic' is pretty ridiculous.

No, that's not "tbf". It's anything but fair.

Underrepresentation of women and minorities in senior roles in the public and private sectors is well-documented and can only have one of two possible causes: white men are better than everyone else or there are institutional and systemic barriers. Which is it?

Underrepresentation of women is definitely present. I'd suggest it's almost completely down to the effects of maternity leave on careers.

But lumping 'minorities' together is not helpful at all. Particularly in a country as ethnically homogenous as Scotland.

Having watched the cycle of politics over the past thirty years, Lozza will probably be our Prime Minister by 2050.

Although, his showbiz connections might make him a bit too woke for the British public by then.

Britain will only continue to get more woke.

What a non-issue to wade into.

Why they put Thornberry, a woman who lost a job in the shadow cabinet for ripping the pish out of a flag shagger, up to criticise Nike is one of the daftest pieces of media management I've seen. It's plainly obvious they don't give a shit what colour the fucking flag is on a football kit.

    Sam Kerr?

This isn't about racism though, this is about - again - scoring political points. If the Tories give back £10m that would screw them (even further) in a GE year. If it was about racism the opposition would be screaming the guy should donate a large sum to anti racism charities but that wouldn't cripple the Tories though.

That £10m is getting handed back at some point. It's obviously where this is heading.

Wouldn't surprise me it someone else comes up with the £10m to replace it in exchange for some favours in the tories last few months in office though.

  13. Matches v NI and Finland live on BBC. Been a while since a Scotland friendly was shown on council telly, outside the occasional England match.  Can count on one hand the Scotland matches shown for free in last 20 years

Surely heads will roll at the SFA for allowing this to happen.
