  1. The shit that is still getting posted on the SPL thread. We're now on to our 47th "Who Will End Up Where In The League" thread. It's dire during the closed season.
  2. If you've already served on a jury can you be asked to serve again? Even if the answer is yes would having served on a traumatic case excuse you from future service?
  3. What if said guilty man then re-offends and murders, rapes or abuses someone else because he was found not guilty?
  4. I would absolutely hate that. I was thinking about murder, rape etc. but to deliberate in a child abuse case would be terrible.
  5. That's the whole point. I would not want either on my conscience. I know there's the whole think about better for a guilty man to go free.... blah, blah blah, but it's still a big responsibility. Also could you really keep prejudices out of it. What if he was a self confessed Dundee supporter? Or a pipe fitter? (Sorry, stayed as serious as I could for so long).
  6. What having to serve on jury duty and getting your balls cut off! That seems a bit extreme.
  7. Being serious (for a moment) the thought of deliberating in a serious case makes me a bit uncomfortable - huge responsibility. Also still being serious (this is hard) imagine that a jury, like P&B posters, will be a cross section of society. How would you feel about deliberating on a serious matter with some of the twisted logic displayed by the knobheads who post here? Can't recall if mine mention high court - imagine it would as these things are standard
  8. Got one about a week ago for the first time. Only said I would be on a 'panel' for the next three years. Not much wiggle room for getting out. Know it's civic duty etc. but the thought of it is not great.
  9. Seems to be a lot of P&B members who look at the threads on the GN forum but never post. Seems a shame as I'm sure they all have something to contribute and would probaby talk more sense than me. If you're reading this join in - the worst that can happen is you will get abused and humiliated but there are people (judges, MPs etc.) who pay good money for that.
  10. Do you really have an F.Bloggs who works for immigration? That sounds like a made up name. Has anyone thought of checking his papers?
  11. If I wanted to be surrounded by loud mouthed, bigoted morons I would just go to an orange walk. It wouldn't cost me anything.
  12. Just had an unsolicited brochure sent to my business in Dundee from Rangers FC offering hospitality at Ibrox.
  13. Still can't believe how many people are posting on the SPL forum. f**k all is happening. Roll on the start of the season.
  14. Try to keep up. Roll on sausage is a roll with sausages in it. It's something that people say as a matter of course - roll on sausage, Clyde are shite - part of the daily lexicon.
  15. That's not only fucking pathetic it's also fucking pathetic! How do we decide what's right, I know let's Google it. What's the correct religion - Christianity, Islam or Judaism? Well according to Google it's ............... Children of the cyber age are fucking idiots. I was eating roll on sausage before Google was invented.
  16. Sorry I'm confused here. Is a preposition a sort of sausage or a type of roll. Or is it like tomato sause or mustard (no wait that's a condiment).
  17. Entering this discussion late - but - it is definitely roll on sausage. I have irrefutable proof.
  18. The completely pish threads & posts on the SPL forum during the closed season. Probably not the first person to mention this.
  19. Are you talking about people on the inside lane going straight ahead cutting off people in the outside lane, because that really does my head in? It may be ageist and sexist but they're usually old women. BTW there is a tendancy in Dundee to call roundabouts circles!
  20. How come I can copy and paste text from a post on my work computer but not on my home one? Is it to do with the version of windows?
  21. Can get you a nice '89 double decker for £7k. (No not the chocolate bar).
