  1. If only that was all. Starmer is knowingly and deliberately dragging politics in the UK further to the right in the knowledge that there is no credible alternative, outwith Scotland*, to fill the void that is created. Moving closer to the USA where the option is between extreme right wing and right wing both in the thrall of big business and funded by the same. * I’m not saying the SNP are filling that void perfectly at present but have the potential to do so. The same cannot be said for England.
  2. Having been critical recently of the quality of the DUTV transmission it’s only fair to say that tonight it was excellent. Very good picture quality and barely any buffering. Long may it continue.
  3. Happy with the result and another clean sheet though it was a far tougher test. Delighted for Kai but my MotM was Craig Sibbald, I thought he was absolutely outstanding tonight.
  4. Are any of our politicians going to condemn an air strike on a refugee camp? Behave yourself Granny…
  5. Don’t know if this has been raised elsewhere but it looks like it’s going to Saudi as they are the only bidder. FIFA have no shame and many palms will be greased. https://www.theguardian.com/football/2023/oct/31/saudi-arabia-2034-mens-world-cup-human-rights
  6. I should be wanting Morton to win this one but that just feels wrong.
  7. She positioning herself for a leadership run when Wee Rishi is huckled, or more likely bolts, after the next GE.
  8. We don’t need evidence. We only need evidence when it’s the Palestinian side and even then we don’t believe them. Using ‘we’ in a facetious sense.
  9. It would be illuminating if they included a ‘don’t care’ option.
  10. It’s important to realise what’s happening. Even in the past ‘genocide’ would have been seen as hyperbole. That is not the case any more, it is likely that this is/will be unfolding over the coming days and weeks. What is happening and it’s intended outcome is the dictionary definition of genocide. Demanding a hospital be cleared when patients include terminally I’ll people and babies in incubators is part of it. Denying people shelter, sanitation, food and water is part of it. Not all those killed will die from a bullet or a bomb, there’s every likelihood that lack of food or medical care people suffering from a water borne disease will be a bigger cause. All this is unfolding with the acquiescence of our elected politicians.
  11. Corbyn ally and Labour MP has whip removed. I’m shocked by this!
  12. Plus only 10% of households in Fife have access to a TV. This drops to 0% in Cowdenbeath
  13. I’m glad Sunak has sacked this b*****d. Pity he couldn’t lock him up to teach him a lesson. Paul Bristow: Ministerial aide sacked after call for Israel-Gaza ceasefire https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-67264814
  14. ^^^ shiting it already. As someone who has to watch all the games on TV I hope our game gets covered to give me a break from the DUTV commentary team.
  15. It wouldn’t surprise me if the Israelis choose not to bomb the hospital, possibly after US ‘intervention’, then this is portrayed as a humanitarian gesture. ’Look the Israeli government didn’t do a horrible thing that should never have been under consideration so they must really be good guys’
  16. I’ve posted before that I think Braverman is trying to compensate for something from her childhood; possibly bullying. I can’t think of anything else that make her such a hateful person.
  17. Of course international law is powerless. Israel has been flouting international law for decades. The one thing that could stop Israel is if the U.S. told them to pack it in and of course they won’t.
  18. I am not overly familiar with the US state or federal court systems, however I cannot imagine any other defendant making derogatory comments about judges or prosecutors and not getting sanctioned.
  19. Halloween doesn’t scare me but if we still had Birighitti in goal for this I’d be petrified! Ideally a win and no goals conceded. We are likely to go with the same team but Cudjoe for Fotheringham and Glass for Watt would be my preference (I think Kai has been very good but would like to see Matthew given a start).
