  1. The reaction when Shagger, Naismith, Davis etc all bugger off should be particularly spectacular.
  2. I propose a complete media blackout. Apart from Rangers Media obviously. Its the only truly reliable source...
  3. @John Barleycorn Cheers for that, if its not a simple transfer what have sevco applied for? is it to purchase a new league share instead?
  4. To my knowledge they did try but they failed. That led to the purchase / piliging of Clydebank. Rangers having the league share transferred is not a certainty either and that process might fail to. At which point they would be in exactly the same position as Airdrie Utd in 2002. Its been mentioned before but that May (hypothetically) mean Sevco look for another club to swallow up like Airdrie Utd did. A few pages back Airdrie themselves were presented as a potential option for a myriad of reasons. (nothing factual, but probably can't be totally ruled out all the same)
  5. Airdrie bought another clubs league share, Sevco5088 (soon to be "The" Rangers) have applied for the old league share of Rangers 1872 (no "The") There is no precedent set for this, there have however been mulitiple postponed meetings by the SPL to discuss / try and ignore the topic. There is likely to be much posturing and general fannying about by the football authorities before Sevco5088 eventually end up in the SPL with a slapped wrist for the start of next season.
  6. They bought a massive 86 million peice jigsaw back in February. They still need another 10 weeks to get it finished.
  7. Green booed by the former Rangers supporters when he left the deathstar. Great start.
  8. From twitter: Lord glennies judgement http://www.scotcourts.gov.uk/opinions/2012CSOH%2095.html
  9. It doesn't know whats going to happen and I never said it did. I was making a reference to a source that states the original decision makers considered suspension to harsh. I'm sure there are others but this just happened to be the first one I found. Happy to be proved wrong if they didn't say anything of the sort. Perhaps I should just make conjecture up and post totally unsubstantiated shite like everyone else.
  10. I suggest you re read my posts as I never said it did. I said the original ruling stated suspension was to harsh. Which the article DOES say here: " It had ruled that for Rangers' offences, a fine was too lenient but suspension or termination of membership too harsh."
  11. I get what you mean but I don't think that will matter tbh. They are already a laughing stock here. People expect Rangers to get properly hammered, possibly to the point of extinction. Anything less than that will probably see a meltdown of quite epic proportions. And if they did win the BTC? P&B Could be quite something to behold.
  12. According to the Herald its suspension AND expulsion. http://www.heraldscotland.com/mobile/sport/football/rangers-confident-fifa-will-not-come-calling-after-court-overrules-transfer-ban.17737010 edit for link
  13. Fair enough, I have limited knowledge on these matters. Its just striking me as quite odd that something that seems so (apparently) heavily weighted towards one decision is taking so long.
  14. Whatever form Rangers end up in it will be weaker than before. But I suspect still strong enough to finish second on a regular basis, going by their season book sales alone they will still have a bigger playing budget than any other non OF team in the league. (assuming the fans keep buying them)
  15. And Suspension was deemed to harsh. And there ain't nothing in the middle apparently (which is why they then made one up that DID supposedly fit the crime). So cup ban it'll be I reckon. I could be wrong but I really can't see them effectively pushing the button on Rangers.
  16. I think the CVA is also a side issue. It might get accepted, its not completely impossible (although probably implausible). If it isn't then a newco will most likely parachute unsanctioned straight into the SPL. I can't honestly see anyway Rangers 2012 would ever go to SFL 3.I personally believe that has been the end game since Whyte paid his pound and now its coming to fruition. Interesting times, I suspect the forum may go into complete nuclear meltdown if I'm right.
  17. Of all the scenarios posted in this thread, I would say no.8's is looking the more likely. I suspect a scottish cup ban will be meted out at most, Fifa won't really give a monkeys and we'll all carry on regardless. The BTC and Dual Contracts are the real issue here. And with each passing day I'm growing ever doubtful Rangers have (as expected) lost. Its taking so long for them to make a judgement and there must be reason. This isn't open and shut and Rangers must have some kind of semi robust counter argument NOT in the public domain. We'd surely know the result by now otherwise? The longer it takes the more likely it seems that Rangers 2012 will walk away from this proven innocent and unscathed IMO.
  18. I see. So he gives D and P a couple of quid and gets control of the club BEFORE he's even borrowed the cash to buy it? So he's paid almost nothing, might eventually pay almost nothing but gets the reigns / assets at Rangers anyway and a say so in Scottish Football? Sounds pretty easy, you would think someone would have tried this sort of thing before. Oh, wait...
