  1. You mean actually left the building or definitely going to be leaving?
  2. I think it's mostly speculation, tbf, but it would make sense. I can't see any other reason why he wasn't put on the first plane back to Cardiff on 1st January.
  3. Suggestion elsewhere, which I think must be right, that there's no break clause on United's side and we're committed to paying all/most of his wages whilst on loan. No point in Cardiff agreeing to his return until/unless they have another club willing to take him on. Feel quite bad for the guy. He was absolutely ragdolled by Graham in that Partick game and didn't look too clever against Spartans but he's clearly a decent player, technically, and you would think could do a job somewhere, for someone, rather than wasting his time sitting on his arse for the last seven months.
  4. That's presumably just Mochrie alongside Tilson in the usual 4231.
  5. I'd be amazed if they let Watt go in January. Whatever the merits of his playing contribution, the optics would be dreadful. Allowed to leave last January, not replaced, team relegated, brought back, rehabilitated, vice captain and then allowed to go again. Even United aren't that tone deaf. Probably.
  6. Aye, you're quite right. As Granny says above, Dorward resigned at the end of 2022 so, yeah, probably him. Was Asghar not referred to as "Sporting Director" while at the club or have I just pulled that out of my arse? ... Indeed he was .. https://www.dundeeunitedfc.co.uk/news/7743/CLUB-STATEMENT--TONY-ASGHAR-LEAVES-DUNDEE-UNITED.html Not wishing to tell United how to do their business (because where would it end?) but it's really not a good idea to be giving someone who is not formally a director the title of "Director". That can lead to all sorts of unintended consequences.
  7. Not sure we particularly need Wotherspoon but he's a good, experienced player so wouldn't turn my nose up at him. I think we were interested in Grieve in the summer and by all accounts he's a hard working, pacy forward who scored lots of goals at a lower level but hasn't done a huge amount in the top flight. Seems to make sense. What we really need, ahead of striker even, is a right sided centre back. I'm not against the concept of Ross Graham. He's a solid enough back-up centre half at this level but he's terribly one footed and really looks out of place on the right side. If he's back up for Holt (and possibly McMann) then fine, but it's a decent back-up for Gallagher which is really required.
  8. Not sure I'd read too much in McLeod and Thomson returning. McLeod wasn't getting a game so he'd be as well sitting on the bench/ in the stand at Tannadice; Thomson's loan was only ever intended to last until January. If another striker comes in then I'd expect to go back to Montrose at the end of the window.
  9. That might be the next step but there's nothing in the survey about how any changes would be paid for, nor anything which would suggest that it's about redeveloping the shed. If they're angling for a particular outcome then they're not doing a very good job of it.
  10. We were pretty close to the incident and it looked like the Arbroath player played the ball quite cleanly. The follow through wasn't great and it might be argued that it was overly aggressive but it wasn't late and I'm not convinced it was a foul. It wasn't given as a foul.
  11. Aye, sure. Just not feeling the same vibes from that game that the home fans seem to be feeling. We've had plenty of games this season which have ended up as comfortable wins but which were in the balance for long spells. Today wasn't one of those days.
  12. Surprised by how positive the Arbroath fans are being about the game. That was as easy as the first two fixtures and could comfortably have been another 4 or 6. United back on it a bit today and it never looked like anything other than an easy win.
  13. Oooft. Should be clear by more after failing to win a single league game by more than a goal and having scored at least half a dozen winners or equalisers in stoppage time. That's quite some take.
  14. Ach it wasn't even in the top 10 bad United games I've seen this season. Sandy's just an attention seeking bell-end. Best ignored.
  15. Tidy for the first and two good finishes for the second and third but, those moments aside, I thought Watt was poor last night. Very poor closing down and tracking back. When he did get the ball it was either a first time hopeful flick or a simple pass backwards. No attempt to turn and run with the ball. He looked like he was either carrying an injury or just couldn't be arsed. All forgiven, of course, because he did have those moments but I wouldn't be making changes to the team simply because he scored a few goals. In terms of overall performance and work rate Moult is still a much better option if available.
  16. Certainly there is a distinction between statutory parking fines and private parking fees in terms of enforcement but some of these private fees are enforceable and, indeed, are enforced through the courts.
  17. I think the only prohibition currently is multiple teams with the same ownership competing in the same European competition, but even that doesn't seem to be enforced. Benham used to also own FC Midtjylland until fairly recently.
