  1. Congrats to Stenny on a well-deserved first league title. But my god what an absolutely awful game of football.
  2. I can't explain why but I have a very bad feeling about this one.
  3. I was word-for-word going to write exactly that. You really shouldn't judge a book by its cover but he looks like a 'Turning Point UK' season ticket holder.
  4. I know it would take some doing, but I don't think I've ever despised a Labour Party as much as this one.
  5. In Europe, only the UK and *drumroll* Belarus adopt the FPTP system. Please, anybody, spare the "we live in a free democracy" act. And for the record, I know all political parties have their faults and flaws, but anyone considering voting for *THIS* Labour party, you're so easily fooled. That conference over the weekend was an utter embarrassment.
  6. Looking forward to Hamish Hawk's sold-out show at the Barrowlands tomorrow night. A truly captivating performer with a fantastic band around him. Should be a cracker. Saw them at the Church, Dundee a year ago and they were superb.
  7. If anyone's interested I've got a spare ticket going for Lauren Mayberry (CHVRCHES) solo show @ Glasgow SWG3 on Thursday night. Ticket cost £27.50 but more than happy to just round it up to £25. Ticket can't be transferred, so I'm happy to meet at the door!
  8. Absolutely tremendous efforts from Stenhousemuir, those. Away is a belter.
  9. Yikes, that's a bizarre take. For all the same reasons that I detest the Tories, it precisely because of those that's why I wouldn't even *consider* voting UK Labour.
  10. League campaign kicks off this weekend and still no reveal of the 120th anniversary kit? I appreciate there was a mix up with the kit suppliers but come on...
  11. Unless you're a die-hard Tory (which you have every right to be, by the way), I cannot conceive the mind of anyone who would actually consider voting Labour. Especially those who claim to be politically on the left etc. It actually enrages me how disingenuous some of these British Labour MP's/MSP's are being.
  12. Perhaps I'm just lucky, but I've never once had an issue at Edinburgh Airport.
  13. This is Scotland we're talking about, mate. Most people in overgenerously-paid "top positions" are too cosy with the British establishment and will do just as they're bloody well told. I have absolutely zero issue with England having a bid of their own, so why don't they? We all know deep down that this is just political opportunism.
  14. Big fan of that home kit. Looks great! Wouldn't mind EF having that design as a 3rd kit. Not too sure about the away kit though. Certainly different. Might be a hit with the younger fans.
  15. It's been awfully quiet since Fash signing up. I was kind of hoping that would be the statement signing that would entice out-of-contract players elsewhere to follow suit. Squad's still looking a bit thin and think we need at least 2 CB's, another full-back and another forward.
  16. For as long as I've had a P&B account, it is until literally just now that I've come across an Everton forum So what's the verdict for the showdown weekend then fellow Blues? I'm not optimistic. Especially without our key striker and a fit right back. 99% certain Leeds will be one of the two 'other' clubs going down but I have a horrible feeling Leicester will brush aside West Ham as they'll be resting their key players for the EUROPA final. And I think the prospect of relegating one of the PL's biggest clubs will be too good to pass for Bournemouth.
  17. Just me or does anyone else find it alarming/concerning at how few minutes our supposed strongest starting XI players have played since the WC? Ideally want your best players playing regularly.
  18. I watched last night despite knowing it would send my blood pressure through the roof. Ha! Well, what can you say? If that showing doesn't prove that the BBC is a corrupt, orchestrated establishment mouthpiece, then I don't know what will. Found myself wishing that Brian Cox was on the Musselburgh panel last night (instead of the previous week) to knock 'no-ifs-no-buts' Anas Sarwar back a peg or two. The sheer audacity for a self-serving, grifter like HIM to be preaching about the Tories being finished in the UK, whilst simultaneously doing back-room deals with the very same Tories, is off-the-scale hypocrisy. Everybody knows the Tories are done for; Labour will win a GE (whenever that will be), with or without Scottish seats and Keir Starmer has obviously given Sarwar the task to take away SNP MP seats regardless of whether they go to Labour, Tories or LibDems. Sarwar will do exactly as he's told. That's all he is and all he'll ever be. A good, little puppet boy. When I saw the panel line-up, I genuinely feared the worst for John Swinney, but I thought he held his own well, got his points across calmly despite facing hostility from about 99% of the people in the room. My only criticism is that he can perhaps be a bit "too nice". I felt as though there were many "open goals" for him to put Anas Sarwar and Douglas Ross back in their rightful place. Stuart Murdoch (though I'm a big B&S fan) was clearly out of his depth. Vague answers without contributing anything we didn't really know already. Spectator woman. Do right-wing Spectator journalists have a seat reserved on BBCQT every week? What's their readership numbers in Scotland? Douglas Ross, as predicted, deflecting at every opportunity. He's only marginally worse than Sarwar.
  19. Think it's better to take our time than to rush into things (i.e. Crawford). Perhaps McDonald has applied for the top job himself, and is being given a couple of weeks to show what he can do and see how the players react to him? I'm OK with that. As long as we avoid Scott Agnew. That appointment would make zero sense to me. McDonald, I suspect would be the 'money-saving' option. Wouldn't mind bringing Naysmith back, only as long as he REALLY wants the job.
  20. SFA (Mr Doncaster) there, passive-aggressively suggesting that Scottish clubs do a minute's applause or, (AND WAIT TILL YOU HEAR THIS)!, singing the English national anthem as a mark of respect. I honestly despair. Good luck with that.
  21. Overwhelming feeling that you just KNOW Ryan Wallace is going to score this weekend, don't you? We've had a surprisingly good start to the season so far, albeit the opening fixtures have, as it's turned out, mostly been against those who currently find themselves in the bottom half of the table. Only exception being Bonnyrigg Rose who beat us 3-0 at home, though I don't believe that score-line reflected the game at all. So this is a hard one to predict, but given Sons winning start and the fact that Ryan Wallace and Blair will both be absolutely up for this, I would take a draw if you offered it now. From our POV, I actually still think we're in the process of discovering our strongest starting XI. We definitely need to tighten up at the back and get some strength up front and we need to improve our decision-making in the final third. Biggest test of the season so far. #monthefife
  22. Not that I'm anticipating a huge travelling support (I honestly don't blame you) but for anyone heading to Bayview tomorrow, AVOID the A915 road. The Lundin Links Hotel pretty much burnt to the ground overnight and the road is completely closed off and will be for the next wee' while.
  23. If that's legit then I have to say, it's incredibly boring. Probably need to see the kit in full before making a judgement but that jersey isn't doing it for me. Still an improvement from the coffee-stain patterned jersey horror-show we have right now.
