  1. Just found her stash of Galaxy Ripples in the freezer.
  2. Please excuse my amendment.
  3. PnB seems a bit 'slower' these days.. Is it just me that's waiting on the first 'Wid' response..?
  4. I know. I mean who really want's hair in their pie? Hairy Pie, it'll never be popular..
  5. OK, here goes... This establishment was once known as The Drover's Inn (Drover's). Apparently there are still beds at the back where the Drovers slept when moving livestock across the Forth? Mother in Law also recalls being sent there many times as a kid with a jug to get beer for her Grandad. It has also been named The Railway Tavern for a spell. Mother in Law reckons it's still open. But yes, it's Jimmy Scotland's.
  6. Yeah, Jimmy Scotland's as I recall. Been there a few times. I don't think it's open any more..? Mrs b-l grew up in Kincardine, I'll get her to ask her Mother if it's still open?
  7. Haven't watched it in ages (20+ years) but Das Boot is fantastic. Edit. 30+ years now I think about it.
  8. These feckin things almost killed me many moons ago. Sharp edged when crunched and it got wedged in my throat. Vague memories of being 'battered' on the back, then held upside down whilst still being battered until it came adrift. Never new there was a 'gay' reference? Especially now I've already typed 'wedged in my throat'
  9. Instead of changing brand names, just change the ingredients.. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Um_Bongo
  10. I'll stick with Beer and maybe a Malt or two.
  11. Most of us are gonna need some of this (or stronger), just to get through the 'long weekend'..
  12. Granny's Dyslexia kicking in again.? Edit to add - Either way I'm jealous.
  13. Many years ago when visiting Aunt, Uncle and Cousins, it was common to 'extinguish the cat' when a spark from the log fire set it alight. But yes, the cat would not budge..
  14. IF two does count? I've just returned from a pub crawl in the village..
  15. The reports from people I have spoken to about the Driver CPC are 'less than favourable', hence my reluctance to pay for 35 hours of it. Best of luck for today..
  16. is this HGV/LGV related..? Just wondering as I have a C+E licence but need to do the 35 hour Driver CPC - if I was to get a job as an HGV Driver. I needed the licence years ago for a vehicle we used but I've never been employed as a driver. Not sure whether to go through the 35 hour course, then sign up for some agency work whilst the licence is still valid? Ignore if nothing to do with Driver CPC...
  17. The random 'Jazz Mag bundle' offered in Dundee has taken it's toll..
  18. Pardon the poor pun, but it's the 'Hangers on' in the Royal Family that need strangling.
