  1. I wonder what his availability stats would be from summer 2021.
  2. The thread is basically two trolls (or one with two accounts) trolling and decent Clyde fans responding rather than ignoring them. Trolls are sad insignificant people who seek any kind of attention online because no one gives a f**k about them in their everyday lives. Best solution is to ignore these trolling losers.
  3. Surprisingly? Clyde being shite has not exactly been a secret for the last couple of seasons
  4. Only Clyde could, after decades of wishing, finally find a willing benefactor and then splash out on a 18 year old loanee and a ... 17 year old amateur.
  5. This waiting for a player to become available reminds me of the wait for the one and only Steven Thicot. Huge build up of expectation before they are available to play only for them to be completely shite.
  6. Thanks for your reply. Although, I am hoping there's more than just one incoming player.
  7. I'm disappointed we still haven't signed anyone this week. I'd have thought we'd want any loanees to maximise the number of training sessions under their wings before the next league match.
  8. Hit the bar and get a two year contract. This method should provide better recruitment results than Lennon, Diamond and Duffy's scouting.
  9. If I was to make a prediction, I'd say we'll end up with some prepubescent u18 striker on loan* from Hamilton or Alloa. He'll run about aimlessly, score no goals and be warming the bench by September weekend. *Probably more likely to be a two year contract than loan. Go on Clyde. Prove me wrong
  10. It seems from comments by the petitioners on the OS that they actively want the Crownpoint bid to fail and the uncoupling of the club from the foundation.
  11. Isn't it amazing so many people are suddenly desperate to pump money into Clyde. Soon, Man City will be quaking in their boots at the oncoming Bully Wee juggernaut. Then again, maybe some people are just full of shit.
  12. I agree. The club belongs to all whether "owners" or not. Too much is kept from non owners, I suspect to add value to the "ownership" cost. However, John Alexander isn't a board member so his post is as a private individual.
  13. Agreed. It was very interesting and enlightening. It shows how much I'm out of the loop. I was completely in the dark about everything he discussed. It filled a lot of holes for me. It's also interesting that the petitioner's for the EGM and their supporters have never posted on the OS regarding their proposals.
  14. Give us more of a hint. I have my suspicions who your talking about but I may be wrong
  15. If breathing on a Peterhead player causes them to go down clutching their knee for two minutes, I'd expect any "mauling" of to result in the player's death or at minimum, full body paralysis
  16. Re. EGM The petitioners have to bring something to the table, an alternative to the current board, a different vision. It's not good enough to call a EGM merely to throw out the current board and chairman and offer nothing positive.
  17. It'll be interesting to see if McLean is much more vocal on the touchline now that Duffy has gone.
  18. Like others I have little interest in Connor Duthie one he left the club l. However, I disagree he in some way owed Clyde loyalty once his injury was over. We shouldn't forget, just like Easton, he was injured playing for Clyde. He and Easton owed us nothing.
  19. This question is always unanswered. Who takes over? It needs answered. Who takes over?
  20. Has Duffy ever spoken directly to Clyde fans? Has he ever attended a fan meeting or an online Q&A? A director of football at a fan owned club who never speaks to fans.
  21. I realise now why Brian McLean always sounded so depressed. He knew his management career was ending before it even started. A victim of Duffyball
  22. So we should appoint a temporary board? Who would that be? They should sack Duffy and appoint a new manager. They should give this new manager extra funds and then the board should just walk away with no responsibility for the medium or long term future of the club. Who would then deal with the SPFL? Who would deal with sponsors? Who would deal with the SFA? Who would deal with suppliers? Who would deal with issues raised by the new manager? Who deals with player registrations? Unfortunately, we're stuck with the current board until others put their heads above the parapet.
  23. The reappointment of Duffy as director of football was marketing suicide. How many supporters failed to renew knowing that Duffy was returning? What excitement does he bring. Even Brian McLean sounds suicidal pre and post match. I know of no Clyde fans who genuinely believes Duffy is no longer "managing" the team. He's been, up until yesterday, directing players on the field whilst head coach McLean sits in silence. It didn't happen yesterday because fans flagged it up last week but McLean still stayed silence standing on the touch line. Do our young squad not need guidance from pitch side from our coach? McLean, according to our chairman, lacks enough experience to fully undertake match day team matters and needs the guiding hand of our director of football. My question would be, why then did we give the position of head coach to someone currently unable to do the job unaided. Was there no one better or would other candidates refuse to take part in the "head coach/director of football" charade? It's nuts. Not to mention Parry, Cameron, Rennie, Lyons, all fullbacks at the club, the nursery department and Fatty Forbes.
