  1. I don't think that will happen. Happy to be proved wrong.
  2. Even after Dundee United were promoted in 1959/60, as runners up to St Johnstone, the Dons v Dundee remained on New Years Day.
  3. From my perspective over here it is certainly a lot more interesting and fun than last season. (Last season was "interesting" too, but more in a high blood pressure, heart attack inducing we're going to get relegated here sort of way.) No doubt I'll be on girning when we lose to some no mark diddies i.e Hearts, but so far, so good.
  4. Life's unfair, particularly for the 9 families affected by those murders. NI didn't have a government for 3 years because Sinn Fein threw their rattles out of the pram. The Irish people must have a strange hate for their own language, seeing as most of them can't be bothered speaking it. I thought you were concentrating on today, not past riots.
  5. 10 brutal murders just dismissed as "phoney culture wars"? O.K.
  6. The bairn was down at the weekend with her two older sisters. She was in great form, chittering away and playing with her older sister and cousin. She's still not a great colour - maybe never will be - but it's just great to see her in such good form. She told her granny "You're not my mother", must have picked that up at Play School!
  7. The other side murdered my wife's nephew from her first marriage. The other side murdered our next door neighbour's brother-in-law. The other side murdered our postman. The other side blew up an off duty UDR man. And his 10 year old daughter he was giving a lift to school. (Collateral damage, I suppose) The other side murdered a stepdaughter's ex-partners father, after he visited his wife and new born son. At least they waited until he had left the hospital,, although his wife heard the shots. The other side blew up the cousin of another stepdaughter's partner. The other side blew up the cousin of an usher at our wedding. The other side murdered Kenny Shiels' brother. The other side murdered my brother-in-law's boss. The other side tried to ambush my future father-in-law (he died before we got married) and my brother-in-law. The other side tried to ambush my stepson. The other side ambushed a neighbour and left his arm practically useless. The other side ambushed another neighbour and left him blind in one eye. These all happened within 4 miles of my home, apart from our usher's cousin, whose family I know well. One side was certainly doing a lot of hating.
  8. Right you are Mark. After all, it's only 3 points.
  9. I'd have been a bit wary of doing a knee slide on that pitch.
  10. Bannsiders lose away again as Larne beat them at Inver. Reds go top. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/63104197 Some goals - 7 at Taylors Avenue https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/av/football/63104206 10 man Blues edge it https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/av/football/63104201 4 at Solitude https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/av/football/63104711 Larne do the business https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/av/football/63104981
  11. So have I! 5 years of torture for an O Grade. The head of the Classics department pulled 4 of us out of a Latin class and STRONGLY ADVISED us to take O Grade instead of Higher. I agreed with him. (I think he knew we were that bad that we wouldn't even get a compensatory O if we sat Higher, but we might scrape an O off our own bat.)
  12. Ach, well, at least it wasn't...ach, I can't be bothered.
  13. A great 3 points at St Marys, coming from behind to win 2-1. Wouldn't have happened last season, imo. Frankies Fusiliers march on!
