  1. Don't think that really matters, they were given the opportunity, it's up to them to take it. Jack Cook is one that springs to mind
  2. With splendid and complete Elizabethan built walls, a rich and fascinating history, the barracks, the Lowry trail, the beautiful salmon fishing Tweed, etc etc and Cowden has er well Lochelly isn’t too far away
  3. I'm getting a feeling of acceptance of our fate, not a good sign. i too thought a change would help but yes that moment has gone. So let's not talk about next season yet, this squad and management team need to keep us in the league by merit or via the play-offs, let's focus on the job in hand.
  4. we'll have to agree to disagree, The reduced admission fee is a great idea
  5. We complain because we care, it’s our club too. We want the team to succeed just as much as you do but as the guy above says, it’s a sad day when we need to rely on Cowden to help keep us up.
  6. I’m sure I have our promotion winning game vs Montrose somewhere under Tom Hendrie was it ?
  7. I think that's the key point Brian, we are all very concerned about all of the above, maybe why there has been this reaction.
  8. A slap on the wrist would have been sufficient, nobody in the club could do or wanted to do the social media so thank you Dom for your excellent match reports, much appreciated, can I nominate him for player of the season?
  9. You mean your position? We would gladly swap as you would have done last season when we beat you 4 times, ach I didn't mean to bring that up again, sorry
  10. He's a volunteer doing it from his own phone I bet, a word in his ear would have sufficed Edit: the words pot and kettle spring to mind
  11. A valid point but this is unprecedented. I can’t find any case where the Points have been reversed. I’ve never seen it in any league for this sort of offence. Deduct 3 points and be done
  12. I sincerely hope I’m wrong and you are right, I really do
  13. my gut feeling is we need to change, eat a bit of humble pie and get rid. Bring in an experienced manager, not Coughlin, who knows this division. We must do everything we can to stay up and if that means Harvey goes, so be it
  14. Looking round the Leagues where this has happened and i can't ever see a points reversal, Brora got kicked out of a cup in the Highland League as did Sion versus Celtic in the Uefa cup . Sunderland got caught last year but the points were not given to the other club.
  15. I can't remember the results ever being reversed after a case like this, I played in Scotland, England and Germany and ineligible registrations happened all the time. I stand corrected if I'm wrong but usually it's just the points deducted is it not? Points reversal only ever happened if a club folded or with serious disciplinary matters. it's either something more serious than an admin mistake or this sets a whole precedent. Certainly, Id be putting in a n official complaint if it affects the standings at the end of the season
  16. I get the deduction but can't remember the result being reversed before, certainly when i played this was never the case
  17. If we move, yes but it would cost closer to Brian's figure when you take land preparation, groundwork, drainage plus we have one of the biggest gradients end to end in the football pyramid so you'd have to flatten the land before you lay anything, and none of the others you mentioned have a speedway track around the outside. JB has put forward proposals for a brand new ground but the incumbent local council don't approve as it's in East Ord, Northumberland have their own active health company with plans of their own (full size pitch not included) and the SFA wont approve a grant for an English ground. you're a bit late to the party with this one
  18. I can't disagree with any of that, I said at the time it's not the gang of 4 who should shoulder the responsibility for another wayward season, what about the last or the one before that? Who is responsible for the serious decline in playing standards over the last 5-6 years or even longer? I'm afraid it's rudderless ship and has been for a very long time, we badly need Scottish football experience at boardroom level, someone who really knows Scottish football at THIS level now - not 20 years ago or the level below. I'm a John Bell fan but even he must admit the last few years have been woeful not just this season but since before Porteous left . Can he turn it around? Yes i believe he can but he needs to , (And excuse the french) , f'ck the hangers on right off, get rid of the drinking culture in the boardroom and start again with a fresh board, bring in some football nous and maybe just maybe we won't be wishing for another Albion Rovers this time next year. God I hope so, I really do
  19. Understand the sentiment and being better than Albion is not where I want us to be but this is my team my club I don’t want us to be relegated for a kick up the arse or anything else, I hope you as a Berwicker would feel the same.
  20. 1 I don’t disagree with your comment about the club as my earlier posts can prove. 2 I’ll celebrate a point if I want to it’s much better than losing or maybe that’s what you really wanted ? 3 I’ve never actually seen you post anything positive, apologies if I’m wrong. 4 to have any chance, we have to stay in the league this season hence the celebration.
  21. Not safe yet but this will feel like a victory for the team. Well done guys a point is a point however it's achieved
  22. Our good one has a dislocated knee really? ffs When did this happen
  23. Another keeper on loan, just what we need, trouble is we can't play all 3 at once. Seriously though, Am I missing something here? We need GOALS not another GOAL-IE, as a wise man once said, you couldn't make it up
  24. a little ray of sunshine in somewhat stormy times, thanks for reminding us
  25. 3 away games against in form teams a tough ask , when are our postponed games being played?
