4 massive games to go. None bigger than the champions mussleburgh on Saturday. I couldn't be any more prouder of my players. The bond they have for a FULL new team is amazing and that bond is digging out results.

Great result at Glenrothes last night JC. Well done to all the Hoose lads who as you say are certainly gelling together really well as a team and putting in the efforts to win games and get the 3 points. Great to see this never say die attitude!! Fab!

Mussy on Sat will be as you say another challenge as indeed will all 4 of our remaining games but if the lads show the same level of application, attitude and desire then "bring them on". Looking at our past games at Mussy it's vital that the lads maintain their discipline as we over the years have been involved in many a tough physical encounter and I remember too well having players sent off and ending up losing games. Looking forward to the game on Saturday against the well deserved league champions....

    4 to go....C'MON THE HOOSE!!

After the jubilation of Saturday the players return to Olivebank for the final home match of the season.

Fauldhouse are the opponents and still lots to play for. Musselburgh looking for point(s) to set a new premier league record and to remain undefeated at home this season. Fauldhouse look to secure 2nd place in the league ahead of Haddington.

Must be one of the most important matches this season so hope a good crowd comes along to watch.

I can confirm we will be giving you boys a guard of honour before kick off emoji106.png

Very nice and totally professional gesture JC to give Mussy the credit they deserve!! Well done!! Good luck to the lads at Glenrothes tomorrow night who I'm sure will give us a hard game especially after their impressive 5-1 win away at Bathgate last night. GO THE HOOSE!!

  3. Good point PJS the double save in 1st half from JC was vital especially at a time when Bathgate were having the best of the play. Good to see the defence recover well from the mistake in 1st half that led to Bathgate's goal and thought they looked very solid in 2nd half.  JC was spot on in saying we were bit flat 1st half but 2nd half lads stepped up the pace and had good possession and were a lot more composed at passing which caused Bathgate lots of problems. Good to see Jack and Messi on score-sheet again after injuries so confidence will be high.

Overall great 3 points in the sun yesterday and with results elsewhere going Hoose way a great day overall. Well done to each and everyone of the lads!

Good luck to the lads on Wednesday at Glenrothes in keeping the current form going. 5 games to go to get the runners-up place.....GO THE HOOSE!!!

Will this be the week that was (or is)? Musselburgh will win the Premier League title if they avoid defeat tomorrow at home against Dalkeith!

Lets hope it’s done in style with a win!

congratulations to the Burgh on winning the title today. Well deserved. Enjoy your night and good luck in your ventures next year Toffee.

Sun splitting the trees, Creamery Park is a great surface, a day for total football, today is where the talented gifted players come to the fore...

Ball control, movement, vision, passing ability....

Looking forward to it, let’s get the 3 points in the bag !!

    Mon the Hoose!!

Well said PJS....great day and good playing surface to witness I hope some good football from the Hoose today ....and yes lets get the 3 points in the bag and keep ahead of Haddington.

See you "behind the goals"....go the Hoose.

    Spot on assessment mate
At this stage nobody is dropped it's just a case of trying to keep things fresh

Very well and professionally put JC.....given the number of Sat/Mon/Wed/Sat games the lads have had to play over the last few weeks it's vital that everyone in the squad is used and has a role to play. Keeping the squad fresh is a must and it is evident on the recent games that this has worked well by using all the players in the squad.  Look at young Ben as a prime example of how well that has worked....others have equally done well.

With 6 vital and no doubt challenging games left in the league we move onto Bathgate this Saturday in a positive vein of form and IMO with a squad that is fighting together as one for the Club! Well done lads.

    Go the Hoose!!

Come on fup! Lads should and will be up for it tomorrow and if not questions will be asked for 3 reasons!

    1. Great result last night so The Hoose boys should be in buoyant mood for tomorrow!

    2. Genuinely think that either the Hoose or the Hihis will finish 2nd. You are in the driving seat to do so & have a home match to boot!

    3. The Hoose still have a slim chance of winning the title. Whilst that is there your players shouldn't need anyone's help for keeping on going!

I know, if it was that simple, Musselburgh would have got the 1 point needed from the last 3 matches to avoid relegation last season. But you don't want to come away thinking, if only!

JC should be able to have his feet up in the dug out wearing in his slippers! Teamtalk shouldn't be required!

All best to the Hoose tomorrow!

Cheers Toffee! It should be a cracking game tomorrow night.

    Go the Hoose!!

  8. Fantastic team effort last night from all the lads, fantastic football played and fantastic goals scored! Great game for the neutral and for the Hoose fans. Well deserved win against a Bo'ness team that beat Linlithgow at weekend.....result!!

Lets hope JC and Prosser have lads raring to go for tomorrow nights big one.....Go the Hoose!!

Outstanding performance tonight. The lads keep getting asked questions and they keep answering them.
Down to the absolute bare bones, 4 trialists named on the bench, and yet we find a way to win. A massive 3 points.
The effort and commitment tonight was top drawer, but the team spirit is what shone through.

Sammy Watson man of the match by a country mile, Gribs free kick was top notch, but the highlights of the night were all on Broony. Banter was top notch and he caught a few on that rod of his from the away dugout.. in ye come pal emoji476.png

Well done Jc and the lads. Onto Wednesday now.

    Hoose emoji173.pngemoji536.pngemoji460.png

Another gritty, tough, hard fought match last night which required all the lads to dig in deep and work hard together as a team, which was short of a few regulars due to injury. But yet again the Hoose came through the test and got all 3 points. Great to see young Ben being brave in the box attacking a good cross with a low header for the 1st and wow what a quality free kick from Gribs, who IMO is now finding his feet and showing his quality and experience.  Defence stood firm and they all put in a hard shift after losing a very early goal. Have to agree Sammy was outstanding. Good to see discipline was again kept on the park last night......well done!!

Great night for football but with another 3 points in the bag we can move onto Wednesday's game in a positive manner.....Go the Hoose!!

I am responsible for a few shouts after the Blackburn goal went in and will now apologise for that. Sorry, shouldn’t have let my frustrations get the better of me.

It was simply out of pure frustration as seeing us dominate the game with 10 men to then lose a goal so late on that hurts. Twice they b*****ds have beat us this season without us even scoring!!

Supporters, players, manager, committee all have to stick together. Games coming thick and fast and we all have the same aspirations - promotion back to the super league. That is still achievable.

Without wishing to drag up the after match comments from the Blackburn game last week , I just noticed this post and wanted to say well done and "hats off" to Fluff for posting such an apology.  We all can be big and brave at times shouting when as we all  know the passion and frustrations get to you at times (Junior football is like that!) but to admit and apologise for something takes guts, courage and shows that the person is a real man! WELL DONE FLUFF....hope to see you behind the goal shouting the Hoose on as normal.

Good luck to JC & the Hoose lads tonight for what should be another tough game....GO THE HOOSE!!

  11. Fully endorse comments about performance, MOM, and ref, he was excellent for both teams. BUT what a difference from the Hoose lads today with no noticeable arguing or dissent shown to ref today so no silly bookings. Ref commented on that positively after game.

Hope this continues as 2 big games this week.

Well done JC and lads for this!

    Go the Hoose!!

Tue 24 April   v Blackburn Away KO 7:45pm

Sat 28 April   v Kirriemuir Home KO 2:45pm

Mon 30 April v Arniston   Home KO 6:45pm

Wed 2 May    v Tranent     Home KO 6:45pm

Sat 5 May        v Downfield Away KO 2:45pm

Come along and support the Hoose with our challenge for promotion. Everyone welcome.

  13. Here here Jackjarvis...well said. I hope Dunny's op goes well today and he's back on his feet again soon.

I hope the lads use that as an extra motivational tool (get promotion for Dunny!) as we get into the real nitty gritty part of the season and the lads need to dig deep to grind out the results....just like yesterday at Dalkeith.  IMO the introduction of Chrissy Patrick and going 3 at the back was the turning point as it gave us extra bite in midfield just when we needed it....good substitution JC!  2 very well worked and taken late goals and 3 points in bag on what was a very hard and difficult park....job done!!

Hope the boys can take the current form and can adapt well to the astro surface at Blackburn for what will no doubt be another tough game on Tuesday night.

    Go the Hoose!!

Went along today, lasted about an hour, bailed early - I was a frozen snotter !!

You dinnae half miss the drama that the Junior Game brings....

Important win today all the same, given the long lay-off the players fitness has been managed well, most looking very sharp.

Just before I left I witnessed an unbelievable save where the SA keeper tipped the ball over the bar from close range. I was in the seating area behind the goals and saw it full view/close range. They’d be talking about that for weeks in the seniors. Very modest friendly GK - good to see.

Would be great to go on another lengthy run of positive results and climb back up the table.

Hope you can make it back up today as Hoose now playing at home. Hopefully weather will be better and you may manage full 90mins.
