  1. Is the 'standing down' not as initially advertised?
  2. I'd just heard this. Not sure what to make of it.
  3. As seen by the responses of other Queens fans in here, we really are not in a good place right now, and it's almost impossible to find grounds for optimism. FWIW, I think I'd see our 'natural' station as pretty much that we've occupied for most of the last 20 years - bobbing around somewhere in the 2nd tier. We spent plenty of years before that in the sort of place we are now, or even a worse one, but that involved lots of punching well below our weight. I'm not going to argue that by rights we should be pressing for a spot in the top flight, but the reality is that mid-table in the Championship gives you a crack at it, so it's not too outrageous an aspiration. I do think Queens is probably the biggest club not to have featured in the top flight in my lifetime, and I'd love to see that change one day. Right now though, survival in the 3rd tier can't be taken for granted, so my real ambition for us is simply that we have a good season at some point. We've not had even an acceptable one for ages.
  4. Disappointing that only 5% of your fans have bothered watching it.
  5. I don't think we need to go back anything like that far to find comparisons that induce weeping.
  6. Well, that's us officially 8th then as we enter the fixtures against Stirling and Annan. 30th of Scotland's 42 SPFL sides. This isn't what I had in mind when saying I'd like to relive my youth.
  7. Yes, that is a feature. She absolutely invites him to shirk responsibility.
  8. My totally uninformed guess is that if we lose the next two, placing us in genuine danger of slipping to 9th, he'll get sacked. Failing that, this season will be allowed to fizzle out under him. Whether anything then happens, with a year still left on his contract, who knows?
  9. Maybe it's part of why they spent so long down here. I'm not convinced that blind loyalty represents the most effective form of protest. I don't want our support to be unconditional, to be taken for granted.
  10. Right now, I'd be prepared to take our chances with an actual caretaker. No janitor I know, would have made a worse fist of the job than Bartley has.
  11. Yeah, just watched it. I know he's on a hiding to nothing, but it's just deluded, insulting crap. How many individual errors does it take before the guy who compiled, assembles and coaches said individuals, might bear some responsibility?
  12. That wee half time film of him droning on about drones and how much he's learned about himself, against a backdrop of him leading sessions in a classroom, as these spectacularly inadequate footballers nod away sagely, just looks ever more ridiculous. He's a wee boy playing at being a manager. It's time he was called in for his tea.
  13. That's exactly it. The mismatch between what he projects and what he achieves is colossal.
  14. I can't say I'm sorry to have saved myself £18.
  15. The ref must be absolutely delighted that we kept inviting him to award legitimate penalties. He didn't even need to do any blatant evening up of the initial error.
  16. Terrible to say, but part of me didn't want us to score at the death there. It would have papered over gaping cracks. The point might have been handy regarding Annan though.
  17. We were stitched up by the ref. If he'd done his job, Kilsby wouldn't have been on the field to do that. When will we catch a break?
  18. Yes, I thought it might be lower too, given what it clashes with, and the fact it's on telly.
  19. I can understand a ref missing things from the centre of the action. How a linesman misses it though, I don't know. I think they just bottle it often, and don't want to step up, if the ref hasn't spotted it. I think we were on the wrong end of something similar against Dundee United in the Cup.
