It would be more like implying that Stirling and Cumbernauld are effectively the same place.

That sounds misleading. Does it include a decent December that featured 10 points out of 12 at one point? Even then, 4th should be the least of our expectations. Getting there over a handful of games, doesn't disguise that we're 8th in terms of all the matches played so far. You also need to factor in how God awful we are to watch. In January, we had back to back fixtures in which we literally failed to register a shot on target. More recently, believe me, there is little that's misplaced about our unrelenting negativity. I always see Ayr and Raith as similar in size to us. Falkirk are significantly bigger than that. I love what Ayr are doing with that side of the ground. There's no reason why redevelopment must only involve seating.

In that time frame, the club made tremendous progress which was sustained for quite a while. It's daft to pretend otherwise. Of course I wouldn't object to excellent types coming from further afield. Who now takes over is so important. What happens next could be absolutely tremendous and it could be utterly calamitous, as well as all points in between. That's pretty much what I thought. They've declared themselves to be open to offers before. This announcement feels different though. But to be honest, I'm really not sure. I don't know enough to have very full confidence in either reading.

I think it's definitely happening, yes. Quite what it means though, who knows?
