  1. How long was this one saved in your drafts?
  2. You can save your favourite seat but it doesn’t guarantee you it, if you’re not fast someone else can nab it I think. I’ve been lucky enough the past few campaigns I’ve been in the same seat or one a couple up. Agree re the pricing. The Finland one will be quite good because Euros fever will be rife, but that Northern Ireland one is sheer misery.
  3. Can you remember how much the match package was last year for the North Stand? I can’t get logged onto the website to check. I appreciate we‘re in with the big boys now but I don’t recall it being that much. I have a great seat in the North Stand I’d hate to give up but £35 for two friendlies and I can’t make the Portugal game anyway is making me think twice.
  4. I made a withdrawal from bet365 a week past on Tuesday and it’s still not credited my bank account. Anyone had this before? They asked me to contact my bank, which I did, who said they can’t trace incoming payments. Bet365 are saying that they’ve definitely processed it and they seem unwilling to do anything else. It’s not a huge amount so not the end of the world but it’s annoying nonetheless. I made another withdrawal the same night which landed in my account after a couple of hours and the details that they’re saying they sent the payment to are correct. Anyone got any ideas/suggestions about what I can do?
  5. His last game was against Airdrie in the first leg of the play offs. Don’t look up the score.
  6. No, but I did see that Hamilton were looking to get NDP back off the current owner and install a grass pitch. No idea where that would leave their academy and women’s team let alone us.
  7. Albion Rovers got relegated last season with something like 38 points - the league is far too competitive to try and claw this deficit back imo. Even at 1-0 yesterday, results elsewhere were going against us and that’s been the case for a number of weeks when we’ve either gotten a positive result or been on track to get one before we self destruct. We are now in a quite frankly ludicrous situation whereby we have given ourselves 14 games to potentially treble the current points total we’ve managed in 22 games. The people running this club should be thoroughly ashamed of themselves.
  8. Getting increasingly harder to see a way out of this. Only scoring 1 goal from the chances we created is criminal. Utter misery.
  9. We’ll be in the Championship by the time they get up.
  10. I wouldn’t go as far as POTC but I’d certainly be having 2nd thoughts about renewing my season ticket unless there was an option to exclude games against B teams. I also have no interest in watching us against universities, and the likes of “Caledonian Braves” or “Cumbernauld Colts”. If, and for me it remains an if, we go down then it’ll be 100% deserved but I don’t think these are unreasonable positions. People who have had to endure the last few season are more than entitled to see relegation into the most embarrassing, tinpot league in the pyramid as the final straw.
  11. No Cuddihy in the squad tonight. Surely not injured again?
  12. McGinley would be a terrific signing. He has spent his entire career playing at a much higher level and would be a massive upgrade on what we have currently even if he only had 1 leg. A short term deal for him to get some minutes under his belt after a lengthy lay off with injury would work well for both parties, especially if we’re in a position to fling him a few quid.
  13. At least they didn’t patronise us with a and a 45 minute wait to announce the Kian Leslie news. I submitted a question on the owners forum requesting an update. Perhaps a bit premature with just shy of 2 weeks remaining of the window but the expectation vs reality so far has been thoroughly depressing. I’ll hopefully get an answer before next January’s window.
  14. Hamilton’s U18 game at NDP tonight has been called off due to the weather. Not to be quite as cold tonight and it’s to be a bit milder tomorrow so fingers crossed it’s on.
  15. Someone asked this on another forum and there are apparently contingencies in place to ensure everyone who orders a ticket will get it. I’m assuming there will be some sort of collection in place on the night, they probably just didn’t want to advertise it to stop everyone leaving it to the last minute if it could be avoided.
  16. It’s possible they got on a Cross Country train at Wishaw (no barriers) and bought a ticket on the train, as there’s no way they could’ve got on at Motherwell without a ticket. I assumed they got on at Motherwell as the guy was insisting that they got off there, but that could have been so they had no option but to buy another ticket. If that is the case then they’ve probably jumped on the first train they’ve seen headed for Glasgow not thinking anything of it and paid their money in good faith. Aye, he might have had previous with them but I didn’t get that impression. It looked to me like he’s just decided to throw the book at them. They weren’t being disruptive at any point either, I could maybe have seen his point if they were acting like dicks the whole journey, or had complaints about them from other passengers but they just sat there talking among themselves. It definitely could’ve been handled so much better imo, but the guy just couldn’t be reasoned with.
  17. Reading between the lines, I think the club knew Crownpoint wasn’t going our way the longer the process went on. Maitland also said something like “I’m not surprised it went the other way” in an interview just after Christmas. They first confirmed that they were looking at an alternative site at the fans’ meeting shortly before the Crownpoint decision was announced. The Chairman did say that this site would require a lot more work to get it up to scratch than Crownpoint would.
  18. If they got on at Motherwell they would’ve needed it to get through the barrier so I’m assuming they bought it off the person manning the gates. Regardless of how they ended up with that type of ticket, it looked pretty obvious it was an honest mistake at worst and the conductor’s reaction was completely OTT. It still would’ve worked on the barriers, so all that was required, if anything, was pointing it out so they knew for future reference.
  19. Conductor on my train home from work today was a complete p***k. Three wee guys about 14/15 got on and sat across from me. They had return tickets from Motherwell to Glasgow - it was those big f**k off tickets with the QR code on them, which as far as I know you can only get off a member of staff so presumably whoever sold them to the boys on the way in fucked up and gave them tickets that were only valid on the Cross Country trains that go through Motherwell. The guy then took the 3 tickets, scrunched them up and put them in his pocket meaning they couldn’t get through the barriers at Motherwell without buying another 3 off him. So unnecessary - a quick word in passing letting them know to look out for it in future would’ve been sufficient as it clearly wasn’t their fault as far as I could see. Thankfully a guy in another carriage came through to let the conductor know someone had left rucksack on the train so he fucked off to deal with that. Still had their tickets so the boys had to wait on to the next stop where there’s no barriers. Jobsworth p***k.
  20. We are receiving significant backing from a wealthy supporter. Why do you think McCall dropped down to L2 in the first place? He could walk into pretty much any job in the lower leagues.
  21. Despite the obvious improvement under him, we haven’t actually made up any ground on the teams we need to catch so this may also be weighing on his mind. If we got relegated he’d be the last person in a long list of folk who would be getting the blame, but it still wouldn’t look particularly good on his CV. On the flip side, if we stay up then it’s not the worst job in the world. We have a few quid and would presumably be challenging at the right end of the table next season. The relocation effort is continuing apace as well, so it’s a potentially decent project in the medium to long term. That being said, there’s absolutely no doubt Ayr is a better job, and what I’ve said above is all pretty contingent on getting out of bother this year which is certainly not a given.
  22. I’ve convinced myself McCall will leave Clyde for every job that’s come up since November but this one worries me the most. He seems to be having trouble getting players to drop down to L2 having indicated that he was going to be bringing in up to 7 players this window, so I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s getting frustrated.
  23. It looked more like you didn’t have any recognised footballers tbh.
