  1. Dominion in Morningside has a bar AFAIK so I imagine you can take booze into the cinema. Also I'm pretty sure the Cameo in Tollcross has a bar too.
  2. Where have you pre-ordered from? Got the first series ages ago but a full box set would be brilliant. Think I've already watched this 3 times over.
  3. That's what I'm doing! Unfortunately, that bar is a wetherspoons.
  4. I'm at the airport and it really pisses me off when they call a certain section of a flight, say rows 25-36 then 30 seconds later call the rest of the rows. The morons at the airport all pile up as soon as the first call goes anyway so what's the point?
  5. Aye just to echo what the others said. I've had a couple of suit trousers adjusted like this, just ask to have them tapered and they should be able to pin them in the shop for you to see what they look like before they adjust them. Cost me about £16 IIRC.
  6. I did that once. Really really painful and my foot got really swollen but was fine after a couple of weeks off the pitch.
  7. You should get the full 3.5k I think. I basically applied through the uni for the SAAS funding but it took SAAS ages to get back to me so I phoned SAAS directly, spoke to a guy for 5 minutes and he approved it over the phone pretty much there and then as my course was on the list as well. Then you just show the uni finance department the letter/email you get confirming the award and they should just knock it off the cost.
  8. I did a Masters in 2011/12 and got some funding towards it. They seem to have a list of supported courses for each year for Scottish post-grad students and if your course is on the list then they can give you some funding. I also got extra funding from a trust called Carnegie-Cameron: http://www.carnegie-trust.org/our-award-schemes/postgraduate-schemes.html I got about 8 grand in the end so its definitely worth looking in to and there does seem to be a lot better funding for Scottish Students looking to study a post-grad in Scotland.
  9. People are right on the money tonight. My council (Edinburgh, knobs) has always been fortnightly since I've lived here but they recently changed it from a Monday to a Friday, except they picked it up one Monday, sent out the new pickup details which just completely missed out a 2 weekly pick-up making it almost 4 weeks between pickups. The street was full of overflowing bins. Useless p***ks.
  10. This kind of behaviour does my head in. Great Shout. It's not just at Gigs either, in the pub watching the Scotland game, nightclubs etc. Abhorrent behaviour.
  11. Now that I know I'm going to be in Edinburgh for the forseeable future I'm looking to join a golf club somewhere. Any suggestions would be welcome. I'm looking for somewhere reasonably priced but quite happy to pay a bit of a premium for a good standard of course. Going to be based just off Leith Walk but got the car so don't mind a travel. Any suggestions appreciated!
  12. The guy working in WH Smith at Edinburgh Waverley says Rangers have been put in division one. How he knows this before anyone else I'm not sure. Some kind of special Celtic information hotline I imagine.
  13. Can't agree with this enough. The Daily Record boy was doing his best at sitting on the fence over everything. Gordon Smith was almost following the Craig Burley school of arguing when he started banging on about league titles and lack of ambition for other clubs further down the division. Why these guys can't grasp why the fans want what they want is beyond me. Sure most of us don't like a large majority of all things associated with Rangers but it is the principle that is causing this fan reaction. Rangers should be treated like any other club, regardless of size would. You get liquidated, a team from the lower division replaces you and a vacancy comes available in SFL3. You can then apply for this vacancy if you wish and be accepted into SFL3. This process might not be in the rule-book but you can be damn sure that if it was St. Mirren, Kilmarnock, Alloa, Partick, Elgin etc. that this is the process they would have to go through.

Fantastic TV series, managed to get though all the episodes in a few days last week. Rachel and Donna are both lovely.
