Not impressed overall but we won 2-0. More about the opposition than anything else but I'll take that. If we get a decent window for signings then I'll start to believe but the next two games are going to be indicative of what's possible this season especially if we can get anything from them. Totally agree - the guy's attitude is terrific and I'm pleased for him.

I hope Bully has shown the current squad the video of our game against Talbot - the warning signs are flashing red imv - injuries to key players like Musonda, Kirk and O'Connor plus a defence that seems capable of conceding against anyone nevermind a fairly decent side from the lower reaches of the Scottish game. Yep, I'm taking f**k all for granted here.

If Murdoch is out then we'll struggle to get a grip in midfield......but maybe 'The Ghost' will prove me wrong? Frankie out is more of a worry because I thought we weren't dominant enough at the heart of our defence against Hamilton. I'd be happy with a point tbh and the way we dominated ICT at Somerset but still lost suggests a close game that could go either way. Crazy league so expect a crazy result again.

I'll probably get pelters for saying this but I wasn't that unimpressed the way some are on here by Nick McAllister's performance last night. He likes a tackle (and is better at that than McGinty or Houston) - crunched Zanatta (wage thief, still at it) and Tiehi and made several solid challenges that the rest of our defence seemed reluctant to make. He's limited on the ball and his passing can be wayward but I like his attitude and I hope the reason for him being sub'd off again is something he can shake off before the next game. Give the boy a break, eh. Been said before but that plastic-pitch does ma nut in. Ours last week was heavy and though the players train on plastic most of the time, the difference between that and a heavy grass pitch in a real game is large. Not convinced it suits our style of play and it did seem that way last night. Looked like Dipo had played in Ashford at one point but the ball just zipped away from Sam before he could react - wouldn't have happened on grass. Was pleased that Smith and Ecrepont got some game time and Bully seems to like introducing youngsters when necessary/possible. O'Connor, Ashford and Mackenzie (could have scored after a good move) all played their part as well. Dipo is just awesome at times and his 2 goals were brilliant. Ye, we were shite last night but I do like this squad of players and staff.

I've had my doubts about my team but I've never given up on them. Might be an age thing admittedly but the club are in my blood, like it or otherwise. I can live with the disappointments - maybe it's because I've got used to it.

Has banana skin written all over it - we either confirm ourselves as contenders in this game or, as has been the case on far too many occasions in the past, drop the baton and bugger up the feel-good factor. Crazy league as many have said and they're not wrong so f*ck knows how this will go and I'm not even going to predict the score. This for certain. We've suffered in the not too distant past from injuries and suspensions. This season we've lost Murdy for a couple of games and not had any suspensions as yet (I think!). Bully has rotated at times - last week he rested Houston and Reading for a game against the Lichties at their place where we've struggled frequently. It may have been tempting to play our 'best' eleven but Bully didn't, plus he got a performance from a sub whose yet to be a first choice in the league. It all has the hallmarks of a squad who ALL want to be getting game time even if there might be some niggles that, in a struggling team, would result in some staying on the treatment table. No way I'm criticising anything that Bully has done so far this season - and having guys on the bench who want/demand game-time is a very good sign. Tomorrow is another day though and I'm not counting any chickens - but I bumped into an old mate who's a Morton fan today. He had the fear, bless.

The comparison with this time last year is fuckin mental. Bullen deserves shit loads of credit as do the backroom staff (signings, fitness etc). Not getting carried away, just loving the feeling, especially when it co-incides with them getting beat.

It's tempting to stick with the same eleven but, having watched his latest post-match commentary, I won't be at all surprised if Bully changes things again. Dipo looked a bit jaded at times in the last two games so he may be rested and the same applies to Paddy. But we'll see - Arbroath will offer their usual full-on commitment as demanded by Dick Campbell so whatever black'n'white eleven play, they'll need to be ready for that. It'll be a battle for sure as the Lichties need the points. Mackenzie to start? Maybe 'the ghost' will get a start in a three-man midfield with Chalmers being benched? Bottom line - expect changes after 2 physical matches in quick succession.

Have the Lichties installed a wind-break yet? No? Balloon football otherwise.

I'm a bit late to the party but I'd always have John Traynor in any legends line-up. The guy was just great and a member of a certain coupon-bustin, cup-holders-disaster, winning team .

Watched the highlights of their 'wind-assisted' match at Gayfield - Dundee don't look that bad to be fair and I still think they'll be there or thereabouts come April - they just need to start putting points on the board by winning games regularly especially at home. If we get Murdy back and the conditions aren't horrendous then we'll be okay. A draw or a single goal victory for either side seem likely. Be interesting to see how they handle Dipo-the-Unit but, as previously mentioned, they'll need to keep an eye on Young and Chalmers as well now - both are dangerous players in and around the box.

Come on guys - there's a fans-liaison guy called Jamie Garrett who should be contacted regarding the justifiable moans on here regarding the lack of highlights. There may be a good reason (beats me) but at least he'll know who to ask and get an answer. As for QP and their poor turn-out of fans at the game, I don't buy some of the excuses offered for their literally no-show yesterday - they're well up the league and would have gone top yesterday if they'd managed a win. We had been stuttering with 3 straight defeats and could have been viewed as there-for-the-taking yesterday. Now compare and contrast with our game at Ochilview on a Friday in early August after a very poor run of results for us both in the league and in the league cup - but we still had a tremendous turn out of fans there. And got a deserved win. So I'm sorry - your fans need to try an awful lot harder imv. As to the game, first thing to say is I've barely stopped laughing at Simon Murray, What a dick that guy is. Secondly, Queens weren't that bad in spells but just couldn't defend with any great consistency and in Stephen (three-penny-bit) Eze they have someone who could and should have changed the game but didn't. On the other hand, we have Dipo who gets better and better - that second goal was sheer class, just wished it had been at the SRE as the roof would have come off again like it did with his brilliant goal against Dundee. Hope he stays for a very long time but I guess there will be buyers queuing up soon enough. Stay healthy, big man. Pleased for everyone after that run of 3 defeats and especially pleased for the way the squad is performing - big changes in the 11 yesterday and it worked really well. The message is clear - we play as a group and there will be changes from week-to-week depending on who the opposition are, the formation planned and how people have performed in training. Lastly, well done to the new boys - Mullin, Young and Chalmers - a seriously big step up in quality and a marker for everyone in the squad. Big game next week - just what we want.

Not totally convincing but good enough even if it could have gone either way against Morton. Charlie was verging on MotM for a spell....until we scored. That's two wins against two more-than-decent teams - can we make it a hat-trick of those against Whistle? A week of waiting to find out will feel like a month. Longer term, it will be interesting to see how the likes of Bangala, Mullen and Young get on trying to win a starting position. All three would appear to have the pedigree to make an impact and possibly change the style (so we don't get predictable) as the winter matches approach. If we get the win on Saturday, the feeling of something happening down our way will become very apparent - not getting carried away though and I'm certain Bullen isn't either. Lovin the feel-good whatever.
