Definitely feel more comfortable with the idea of Clarke with Timmins back. Don't know if there's a huge amount between him and Mutch right now but Clarke has age on his side.

The save by Josh Clarke in the first half against Airdrie is still fresh in my memory. Unreal - that lad has a future in the game.

I'm growing to Sanders, i'd get him signed up for next season, only CB we've had in the last 3 seasons who has kept Brian Graham in their back pocket.

Sanders did very well with the strong physical challenge offered by Graham. But in the equivalent game last season (1-1), Musonda shackled him as well - both have more of a physical presence than McGinty

  3. The combination of this week against Arbroath and next week against Dundee Utd may have influenced Broonie's selection in leaving out Chalmers (knowing he wouldn't be able to play him next week). He certainly keeps us all guessing regarding selection but can't argue with that performance today - 5 different scorers and no goals against. Okay, okay - the opposition played like a team already down and with nothing to play for but we've not had an easy ride against Arbroath for a long while. Reckon we'll get something out of the next game or two and I'm not worried about the teams around us. The only disappointment for me is knowing we would probably be in the play-offs with this management team in place at the start of the season. Oh well - new stand, new team; next season can't come quick enough. COYA

Will a loss for ICT on Friday night and a win for us on Saturday see us safe do you think?

Would put us 7 points ahead with 3 games to go

    Us:

    Dundee Utd A

    Partick A

    Pars H

    ICT:

    Raith H

    Pars A

    Morton H

After our last season's astonishing finishing position, I wouldn't be counting any chickens regarding ICT - they'll feel they owe us a surprise or two.

She's walking in behind him, says something, he responds (as far as I can make out) with 'What's that? Whit you saying? You've got too much tae fkn say for yerself'.

And the Twitter account it's on appears to have been set up specifically for this purpose.

    Grow the f**k up.

Oh aye, Imrie is a classy guy who would always rise above any wind-ups? I think it's you who needs to grow up, sonny.

  6. Two things :-

Given we were without a large number of 1st team players (Musonda, Reading, Dempsey, Chalmers, Willoughby, McGeady, Murdoch), I'll take that all day long especially after that terrible performance on Saturday.

Blatant red card tackle missed by the ref. That and the non-penalty against ICT are great examples of the disgrace that are the refs we've had recently. Good on Broonie for making a bee-line to the ref and reading him his horoscope.

  7. Hands in the air - guilty as hell for questioning that team selection but happy that injuries, tactics and secrecy (🤫) were a major factor in Broonie's thinking. I'd have been happy with a point and not surprised by a defeat so massive credit to the boys who played and, by all accounts, gave it 100% effort. Pretty certain the manager will demand nothing less in every game (as was his style as a player) - reckon that bar is one he'll want maintained. COYA

Local governments do what they can with the pocket money they are given from the Scottish government who are dishing out what they can from the pocket money they get from Westminster. It doesn’t have to be like this. Mind you, Michelle Mone’s yachts don’t pay for themselves. We have a choice. The neddy bra woman gets a nice boat or we get bins collected, free prescriptions and free educashion.

    A thousand up-ticks, Shizzleman 😀

  9. That Brian Graham is a moanin barsteward - ref should have booked him for constant gobbin off. Tomi not celebratin his goal was an eye-opener.

Lots to like (especially the result😀) but lots to improve on which is exactly where we should be so well done to Broonie and his staff for that - there's no way we'll be resting on laurels with him in charge - not that we've had much chance of that in recent times.

No Syla (for most of the game), Reading, Dowds or Chalmers and we still got a win against a team above us. Enjoyed it all last night, more to come.....COYA

Stanger got up and down the wing against Dundee United once he moved out there. Musonda would most likely sit defensively. It would mean making more changes to things  than if it was Stanger. Musonda moved out there on Saturday so I wouldn’t rule him out of playing there.  I just think Stanger is more likely.

I wouldn't be surprised if Jack Sanders starts this one and Musonda gets moved to right back. Chalmers will certainly start. But who knows - Broonie will have been planning something while watchin how we've looked in training. Love the guessing game.

Thought that was an excellent interview - Dowds is clearly an intelligent individual which is fairly rare in football. Would love to see him get signed eventually but more importantly I want him to go on from this and bag a lot more goals this season - it's what we need in this league (a regular scorer) and unless Broonie has a few more irons in the fire, that'll be vital this season and next.

I’ll be curious to see who replaces Stanger since he’s suspended for Airdrie between Musonda and Sanders

It'll be down to how they each show up in training this week and if Broonie starts changing things to his way of thinking - won't be surprised if both play though. Personally, I think we could see some changes on the front line.
