  1. Sure that he would be most welcome at Balmoor but got the impression with his Dens contract up shortly he would want to secure his future there. Was his sponsor at Peterhead last year & know he is committed to making it in the game & given the choice am sure it would be at Dens
  2. Does the Dundee supporters think Cammy Kerr will start getting some games to prove himself at Dens. He was very popular with us & has developed, gets up & down the park well, played mainly at RB for us but think he plays the other side at Dens. Had hoped we might have him a bit longer but think his contract is up in the summer so needs to win another one in the remainder of the season. Certainly hope he makes it as he has ability & has a great attitude.
  3. Cammy Kerr certainly developed last season during his time with us, defended well & was certainly willing to get up the park to good effect. Would wish him all the best if getting his chance at Dens & hope he does.
  4. Seems to be fairly well thought of by some on here, if he does end up with us would have to fight for his place with us as well, as it should be. If it happens hopefully he takes his chance to prove himself worthy of a full time contract at Queens or somewhere.
  5. Kev Dzierwaski is mentioned in the paper up here today as a possible loan to us. Apparently the managers are talking about it. Hopefully you see more from Mark Millar than we did.
  6. In todays paper Mark Millar joining you until the end of the season after medical today. Hope he shows more for you than he did for us. If he wants to secure a full time contract he may knuckle down & do it for you, wish him well anyway.
  7. Yes he looked the part during his short time with us, seems fairly adaptable anywhere at the back which is always a bonus when running with a fairly small squad. Hopefully he can kick on with games under his belt.
  8. Have not been keeping up with your team selections of late, wondered if Reece Donaldson has been getting games or has he dropped down the pecking order. He looked good at our level when on loan but you took him back early as you were short of defenders just wondered if he had had the chance of a run in the team.
  9. Just wondered how Reece Donaldson has been getting on since he returned to Rovers, it seems the team have had a rough spell but hope Reece has done ok & the team pick up at least one trophy for the season.
  10. He has certainly been solid for us & would have been very happy for him to stayed until the end of the season. Hope he takes his chance on his return to Rovers & goes on to establish himself in your first team. Hopefully you will get back a match fit confident defender who helps your team get something from the season. Don't think you would hear a bad word about him from our support.
  11. Cheers for the feedback, as mentioned am sure we would be happy to have him until the end of the season. As mentioned this could work in everybodys favour, the player gets regular games, we get a versatile defender that looks as if he could cover a number of positions & hopefully Rovers get back a better player at the end of the season & presumably save a bit on wages while he is on loan.
  12. Any thoughts on if Reece Donaldson will be required back come January. He has fitted in really well with us so far picking up a few MOTM awards & looking a good player in general even getting on the score sheet the other week. Just wondered for his development if getting regular 1st team football all be it in a lower but very competitive league would get him ready to push for your 1st team next season or do you think Rovers will take him back in Jan regardless. Certainly think most at Balmoor would be more than happy to see his stay extended.
  13. Would say he was more central. Did his defensive duties very well against a physical Shire forward line. Showed good composure when playing the ball from the back & given a wee bit of time to settle in appears just what we really need just now. He earned his MOTM today & hope he keeps up the same standard during his time with us.
  14. Reece Donaldson played the full 100 odd minutes the ref decided on today. He certainly looked the part today & hopefully will settle in fine. He deservedly picked up the sponsors man of the match award for his display.
  15. That's good, gives the player & the club a bit of time to see how things work out. If it works well for both & Rovers still don't think he is going to be a regular first team player this season, at that stage then a longer deal to the end of the season may be in everyone's interest. The player gets competitive game time, it bolsters our squad while we are short on numbers & hopefully Rovers get a better player back at the end of the deal = everyone's happy.
  16. Cheers for the info lads, not sure how long he is coming for meantime, hopefully the player & both clubs benefit from it. We are crying out for a player that can defend when required & if he can play the ball out rather than just punt it every time that would be great. Will try & update his progress once he gets a few games.
  17. Sorry to interrupt but any Rovers supporters have any thoughts on Reece Donaldson, he is supposed to be coming up to Peterhead on loan presumably to get some games in & hopefully bolster our defence a bit.
  18. I take it that Ross Smith has not been offered a deal with you?
  19. Just read the first bit & the last bit of this thread & wondered what was going on! Are you having some sort of a problem with those tinkers from Greenock migrating across the Erskine Bridge. Also are your part-time team "Still" competing in the same league as Scottish Super Clubs such as Morton & Hamilton if so good luck in the coming season. Was at your play-off victory against Arbroath the other season so its good to see a team promoted on merit making the best of things without getting above themselves in the billy big time stakes.
  20. Sorry for coming in at this point not having read any of the thread but the last few posts. Was just interested to hear what the thoughts were if true losing Nicky Clark. Always rated him when he was with us & think the distance involved for training was the main reason for moving on. Was more of a mid-fielder before but after the season he has had at Queens seems to be thought of as a striker. Would wish him well wherever he actually ends up as he is a player that just seems to enjoy playing & gives 100% when on the park.
  21. Not sure how well Nicky Clark did for you last season in what was a poor time for you. Always liked him when he played for us, thought he gave his best in matches & when it worked he looked good. Would imagine he will be under added pressure if things dont go so well with his father being involved in your set-up., hope it works out on both fronts.
  22. Anyway would obviously like to see any player coming to us do well. Will end this by wishing QOTS all the best in their effort to bounce back at the first attempt but would say a decent start makes life much easier. Would like to get a cup game down at Palmerston as its one of the few grounds i have not been to so far. Had a weeks golf in Dumfries last year around pre-season but there were no games played at home for you then. Anyway all the best
  23. We are certainly happy with Jim since he arrived, he took over a squad of players that had been relegated the season before. The previous manager had brought in number of players a majority of whom were released at the first chance in January which was Jims 1st chance to change things. Once settled into the job he managed to turn things around from being bottom of the league at christmas we finished 5th with our form being as good as the eventual champions with much the same squad. That is the reason i am quite happy to trust Jims judgement in putting together a "team". His philosophy is certainly not geared toward defensive football & while not liking getting beat he does not mind so much as long as we have had a go. Hopefully McLaughlan will respond to the challenge of winning games rather than not losing them.
  24. With having had him play for him before Jim McInally seems confident he is the type of player we are looking for, he wont have to be a world beater in Div3. We have been looking for a player that will put in a shift, win his share of tackles & keep things together in the middle of the park. We saw ourselves a couple seasons ago when relegated how even our better players lost confidence & looked totally out of touch. Hopefully a better start to the season by us will see McLaughlan & his new team-mates flourish.
