    And whos claimed that?

The fact that every player/manager linked with a move has it leaked weeks before, and theres not a single mention of Rodgers to Al-Ettifaq, surely makes you realise hes waffling again?

You know for a fact that no one has ever had interviews with clubs and it hasn’t been leaked to the press?

And both times they were quite widely debated.

I think folk are mistaking me that I am saying the decision was not a foul. I’ve already said that I can see why it was given and I’m not arguing against it all that much.

My main point here is about the controversy the term “soft foul” seems to have caused when it is generally quite a widely accepted phrase in football.

Both times were debated but both times the ones that count, the VAR officials and ref, agreed it was a foul.

I get your point about soft fouls, if neither had led to a goal then neither would have been changed and no one would complained, similar fouls happen in most games but just go down as soft or debatable and we move on.

I think folk are getting hung up on the meaning of the term “soft foul” unnecessarily. It’s quite clearly a phrase that describes a foul people believe could easily be awarded or not awarded. It’s been around since day dot.

Both times I’ve saw this foul since VAR came in it’s been called back and penalised. Sundays game and rangers game v Dortmund. Both times the ref gave the goal and both times he was alerted to his mistake by VAR officials and it was overturned.

  4. Frustrated Rangers will contact the SFA to demand answers over Kemar Roofe's disallowed goal against Celtic.

It's understood the club will reach out to Head of Referee Operations Crawford Allan to look for answers over his team of officials' decision-making process during the incident.
The 28th minute flashpoint came after Cyriel Dessers robbed Gustaf Lagerbielke of the ball and teed up Roofe to fire past Joe Hart. Referee Don Robertson allowed the goal to stand but he was quickly called to the VAR screen with the team at Clydesdale House, headed up by Alan Muir, suggesting a foul had been committed on the Swede. Robertson watched the replay, agreed with his colleague that the footage showed an infringement and the goal was overturned. Celtic went on to win the game 1-0 after a goal from Kyogo just moments before half time.

Sources at Rangers say officials at the club are bemused by the decision pointing out that any decision to intervene by VAR has to be on account of a clear and obvious error by the referee.
And while some pundits have agreed with the outcome, many have not, including former grade one referees in Scotland and a Sky Sports Referee Watch panel where all three experts said the wrong decision was reached. That included influential and experienced former Premier League referee Dermot Gallagher. This has led Rangers to wonder how the criteria for a clear and obvious error could have been achieved and reach out for answers.
Gallagher said: "I think the referee got it absolutely right on the pitch. I don't think it's a foul.
"Dessers gets in front of the defender and he's committed no foul at that point. All I can think is that when he looks at the screen, he thinks he pushes him. If VAR hadn't intervened nobody would have been [questioning it]."
The win for Celtic puts them four points clear of their old rivals with only four fixtures played in the Scottish Premiership season.

Nah mate we don’t care actually we quite enjoy watching you make a mess off yourself over what was a clear foul.

It’s not even us arguing the point either it’s fans of other clubs telling you and your still determined to highlight how “soft” it was

    🤡

Has any of them questioned their own players?

Long diagonal balls from Goldson for 90 minutes, try to get corners or free kicks around the box. Rinse and repeat.

    Raskin was anonymous

Dessers looks a complete haddy .

Big signings like Danilo and the guy LAFC fans couldn’t wait to see the back of both on the bench.

Lammers looks like one of the worse players I’ve seen play for them, a lump of wood.

poor tactics and poorer players but they lost due to a soft decision.

Stonewaller or not, it still pretty much means Stubbs was talking shite or McCluskey claiming he’d never give Celtic a penalty against Rangers was shite considering he’d already done it before.

And it’s not getting bent out of shape, it’s laughing at his clear attempt to stoke the flames of the Celtic victimhood mentality regarding referee conspiracies in the build up to tomorrow’s game in an attempt to put pressure on the officials. Pretty clear why he has come out with it this week.

He never named him cos it’s a lot of shite. Any ref that it could’ve been during that era awarded Celtic a penalty against Rangers at one time or another, blowing his claim away.

If he’d claimed that a certain ref never awarded Celtic a pen against old co then yes, it’s a false claim, but he didn’t, he stated what the ref said to him, if you weren’t within earshot how do you know it’s shite?

Fair play to him, it’s a good thing to make up in the build up to Sunday’s game.

Surprisingly never named the ref and took him two decades to bring it up. Wonder why 🤥

Shame he didn’t name (McCluskey) him. Even seen Jim Renton and Bobby Tait mention it in different after dinner speeches. So that’s 2 ex refs and an ex player but it’s probably all lies and banter.

How do the Celtic fans feel about their transfer window?

A shambolic window with no obvious strategy that has left us with a bloated and unbalanced squad.

The only signing we've made to improve the team was an emergency 4 month loan from Liverpool's reserves.

The board have fucked it but so has Rodgers. We seem to have reverted to the rudderless entity that we were before Ange arrived. £20m spent to weaken the team.

Other than that I think it went well.
