  1. That could be true. It also means that since the SPL have not recognised a Newco (by not agreeing sanctions to a Newco) then they can refuse such an application if one comes as the concept of a Newco is not in their Rules. The longer the SPL avoid the issue the greater the chance that either the EBT or the BTC or the SFA or FIFA will take the decision out of their hands.
  2. An interesting point was made in Sportsound today. The SPL Clubs did not come up with any sanctions or anything else to do with a Newco. Indeed Mr Doncaster himself said they were not expecting a Newco application as they had been led to believe that a CVA would be accepted. ie the SPL have NO rules for a Newco. If they had approved sanctions then by association they would be accepting a Newco. By not agreeing sanctions then the concept of a Newco is still to be accepted and is NOT in the SPL rules. Are the SPL really playing a blinder?
  3. Div is just a Buddie with IT skills. He set up BlackandWhiteArmy then set up P&B for all football fans. He occasionally is asked by the media for 'fans' views' of events. Top block (allegedly) for a baldie.
  4. The SFA can just ignore the 'comments' made by the CoS and tell Rangers that the ban stays and they should STFU or else they get chucked out of the SFA. The CoS comments have no legal bearing in the circumstances.
  5. Result! Brilliant news! But hopefully they wont be around to implement it!
  6. Thats not my reading. They are covering themselves and will make decisions per application. Let the wee teams off lightly and punish the big cheating ones . John McBeth's statement today is great bbc including these words of wisdom ... ''Football would survive without Rangers, maybe not at the same level, and the game would may be lose some fans - but so be it,'' he said. "If you look after the sport the money will follow you, if you look after the money you'll kill the sport.'' and Stewart Gilmour was beeling after today's meeting saying that Rangers should never have taken the SFA's decision to Court. Is the tide turning?
  7. Directors of a Company have legal responsibilities. Just chucking it does not constitute taking responsibility. Many members of staff knew of illegal goings on but no-one reported it. The SFA could not act until someone had reported something which they all failed to do. Just like at my last place of employment when people wanted a certain member of staff disciplined but no-one would report them to HR hence nothing happened. Hugh Adam reported something about the illegal use of EBTs and they are now being investigated. Try reading this from 2009. Even then Hugh knew that Rangers were a dodgy business and he is the only person to report anything. Shame on all the other employees.
  8. The SFA can stick to their guns and simply ignore the verdict. Nothing Rangers can do about it.
  9. I assume this has been posted before. How to really deal with a Newco...... newco Darlington drops 4 divisions Hope you read this Mr Doncaster!
  10. Toaster you seem like a reasonable Rangers supporter which is a rare thing indeed. Maybe you could explain to your fellow supporters that fans of other clubs KNOW they will take a hit if Rangers go. However we are HAPPY with that. And most fans I know do not think it will be anywhere near as dire as predicted. On Sportsound last night some eejit mentioned no Rangers fans at Away grounds would be a drop of 10,000 paying fans per diddy club per season. WTF? St Mirren's largest crowds have been Kilmarnock - twice. NOT the OF. We only allocate 2,000 seats to the OF and Thistle or any decent First Division Club will bring half of that. We only played Rangers once this season at SMP so we lose 1,000 paying away customers. Sad but easily dealt with. But note, the Home support is DOWN when we play the OF especially the Family stand. Many home supporters wont entertain songs of hate from the travelling Rangers fans. So although Killie fans come in the same numbers os the OF the Home support increases thereby giving higher attendances. I take the point about TV money however SKY have never mentioned once what they would do with no OF. I reckon a deal will still be in place albeit with a possible reduction. And of course diddy clubs have the possibility of more revenue from - 1. More Home fans attending games as the League suddenly becomes more competitive. 2. More Home fans at games overall at games to compensate for less Rangers fans. 3. Greater possibility of competing in Europe. 4. Greater possibility of winning a Cup. So yes we will probably take a hit but we are happy with that and will continue to live within our means. After one season clubs will adjust wages downwards. That does not even necessarily mean a drop in quality. No offence to Aberdeen but I am sure their wage budget is far higher than St Mirren's but we have been playing great entertaining football this season with less money than they have. The SPL will survive without Rangers. Maybe a couple of clubs in self-inflicted desperate situations like Killie will struggle but that is their own fault and no reason to keep Rangers in the League.
  11. For historical reasons I would like to have a post on page 1000. Well done everyone. Who would have thought Rangers would have brought the rest of us together like this?
  12. After listening to Sportsound today I felt there was a change in attitude towards Rangers due to the Tribunal Report. Wee Robbo came out against a Newco staying in the SPL. He is the first pundit that I am aware of who has said No to Newco. Alan Preston also said the report had made him reconsider his thoughts as did Billy Dodds although both still muttered Rangers have to stay but nowhere near as vociferously as they had done in the past. Chico was as usual peddling his pish and defending everyone who was ever employed by Rangers before and during Whyte's reign. But Traynor and English are being more outspoken about a Newco starting at the bottom. The wind of change has started. At long last.
  13. Everyone I know called the old ground Love St. In fact many people I know had no idea what the official name was. I dont think most people call the new ground 'New' anything. Just the ones that don't know about their football.
  14. Sorry. Was very busy yesterday and missed my daily dose of instant happiness.
  15. Maybe I have missed something over the last few pages but I dont see much comment on the article in today's Record that reveals in great detail that not only were the Rangers' Board well aware of the dodgy dealings going on they colluded by keeping their mouths shut. This is such a damning report that if the sanctions against Rangers are diluted at the Tribunal then Scottish Football will be percieved globally as being totally corrupt. For anyone in any doubt about Rangers' punishment then read this. Record article
  16. I read Chick's article and couldnt believe the tosh he writes. I wont be in a hurry to read his next one. Anyway, yes half the fans any Saturday are at Ibrox or Parkhead. How does that help Scottish football? What impact does that have on St Mirren v Motherwell? f**k all Chico. The gate money goes to Rangers to spend on Rangers. If they didnt exist maybe the next generation will support their local teams and improve gates but in the meantime it doesnt matter.
  17. I think you are all being a bit harsh on the RM and the integrity of their fans. They did not get enough credit in my opinion for all the thousands that turned up at Dunfermline to repay a debt to an 'honourable' club. Shame on you all
  18. I did and could not believe the hypocrisy. They both defended themselves saying their job was to report football stories and not business stories and that business editors should be investigating murky financial dealings. When was the last time Sportsound only featured football stories? Every fuckin night they talk about business stories relating to Rangers. So make up your minds lads. If its football only you report then stick to football only.
  19. But surely CW did not increase the debt by £20 via Ticketus. The existing debt merely transferred to Ticketus as Lloyds were paid what they were owed. Maybe more was borrowed than was paid to Lloyds but the whole £20 could not be considered the fault of CW? Sorry. Others posted my thoughts before me!
  20. Thanks guys. If I provided services including my costs and not just my profit, for someone and they then offered my 20p in the pound I would prefer to see them go under than accept such a paltry amount. At least they would not f**k me over again nor anyone else. What makes Rangers so confident that a CVA will be accepted?
  21. Maybe someone can explain this to me as I dont get it. The media keep saying that if Rangers go into liquidation then creditors get f**k all so they will vote for a CVA as 20p in the £ is better than nothing. But surely if Rangers are liquidated then the assets are sold off to pay creditors, and with assests of £125M creditors will get more with Rangers vanishing off the face of the planet?
  22. Doncaster said on radio tonight that the SPL Board would make the decision. He didnt mention anything about the rest having any say whatsoever.
  23. I havent heard much praise on here, unlike all the journos, about the great sacrifice that Wilde and Celik made today. Have you guys no shame? Wilde was on £4k a week and would be dropping that by 50% to £2k a week to stay with a club that has no chance of winning anything for years assuming it even continues to exist. And if it continues to exist his £2k is not guaranteed. In the meantime his agent has touted him around The Championship with several clubs all interested. Will any of them be offering him just £2k a week? Dont think so. He left because it suited him. But of course I am just a cynical fan as the media are telling us that he paid the ultimate price. The final sacrifice for the team. He walked away.
  24. I would never go to a game involving Rangers ever again even if I have paid for home games via my season ticket. Let the TV companies show stadiums empty of home fans when Rangers are playing away. And I would be pretty pissed with my club if they voted for them to stay in the SPL but I would still support my team.
