The ship called Dignity was a highlight for me for some reason. The police are pretty hard to get away from and really don't take no shit. My xbox has given up on me at the best possible time! think the disk tray or something is fucked, half way through the install everything's gone blank and frozen, tried another game and getting the same blank screen. Could actually cry!

Mine has arrived, got half way through the install and the screen went black and now my xbox is super slow and making a big whirling noise, PLEASE NO!!

83 round the rannerloch at strathmore this morning. Very happy with that playing of 18. Only 4 over through the front nine an missed 7 birdie puts. Good game all round.

Played Downfield today for the first time. What a fantastic course. Greens weren't too fantastic, but what a nice course. Went round in 92, spent a lot of time getting used to the greens. Tee to green was fantastic but around the greens poor. Some holes were playing very long, some big par 4s. The course is well designed and very well bunkered around the greens. The 11th was a particularly nice hole. Supposed to be playing Scotscraig tomorrow but the weather isn't looking to sharp.

Paid £15 for the round, which wasn't bad considering the course is in extremely decent condition. However, i thought it was a little steep considering there were 3 winter greens and one of the holes was being reconstructed so they'd made it into a little par 3 with a flag in the middle of the fairway. Seems like a very, very snotty club though. The guys who are members there are only members because the Uni gets really good rates, but they say all the old boys just moan all the time when they're in the club house. Think i'm heading out on the medal tomorrow morning.

Playing out of Grange as my girlfriends Dad was a social member so it was easy for me to get a reference. Joined in August and it's been a complete bargain of a membership, being able to sign friends on for £10-15 is great too.Everywhere I'm reading about the two courses in St.Andrews are full of compliments. Think we're looking at Thursday morning. Played Strathmore in the summer and enjoyed it too, nice wee course. As you say, so many nice courses around here, if your playing with a group its fantastic. All the boys I play with are members of different clubs, last course out of the group that i've got to play is Ballumbie.

on late t times, it £40 for 1, £20 for 2, £13.33 for a 3 ball and £10 each for a four ball on both the torrance and the kittock's. Used the site before so it seems like it should be legit, might ring up and see tomorrow just to be safe.

I'm a member at Monifieth as well mate. Just looking around with a few mates for some courses to play in the coming weeks. Hogans hole is fantastic, lucky i was playing with a couple of guys who are members so they knew how to approach it. Can't believe more people don't talk about Panmure, to be honest. Thanks for the input on the courses at St.Andrews, Stevie. Think we're giving the Torrance a shot, can't really complain at £10 a head really. Been some cracking weather for Winter golf recently.

anyone have any experience of either of the Fairmont courses at St.Andrews?? Got the chance of a late booking sometime this week which would only be £40 for a four-ball and just wondering if anyone on here has played either of them/would recommend one over the other. Been playing a little bit recently, played Panmure on Friday afternoon and it was a cracking wee round of golf, some fantastic holes and great condition for this time of year. 88 wasn't too bad going either. Anyone else been out much recently?

Looking to take the game back up after a Golfing Stag weekend a few weeks ago. First round i'd played in almost 4 year and really enjoyed it, needing something to do on days off just now. Used to play to a decent standard until I was about 16 at which point I sold all my clubs and equipment etc. Anyone who can give me some advice, or point me in the right direction of where i can get a decent set of cheap/reasonably priced clubs/bags etc. Would probably join the Unis golf society for my final year, get really cheap membership at Panmure Golf Course in Angus. So any help putting me in the right direction of a decent set of clubs would be greatly appreciated. Cheers guys.
