  1. Dabrowski sounds like a good bet. Presume he’ll be attracting a lot of interest?
  2. Good to get the Murray situation settled and back to the good news.
  3. Genuinely hope that Lang goes on to have a great career. His ACL was probably a factor this season. On balance I’d have kept him, but we’ve also not lost a top class defender (yet)
  4. Absolutely. And he was probably the best of a bad bunch, but the defence as a whole was poor. The Hamilton game that killed off our play off hopes summed it up. Two set pieces which killed us. And Lang gave away his fair share of unnecessary free kicks which led to goals. If there’s any part of the team that needs fixed, it was the defence and Lang was part of that.
  5. Lang was a decent defender for us but lunged in too readily and gave away free kicks which we inevitably conceded from. And as good as he was in the air, the amount of goals we conceded from set pieces suggest he wasn’t the greatest. If he’s earned a move up them good luck to him, but based on how he played for us, I think he’ll struggle.
  6. He’s been a shite referee for years. The fact that he’s still there being allowed to f**k up games says everything you need to know about the lack of bodies available to referee
  7. 3-0 up from the first leg and Brian Graham is going down holding his face time wasting after 5 minutes. Than that reaction for the red card. What an embarrassment.
  8. The fact that even Foster is embarrassed by the red card shows you how bad a referee Colin Steven is.
  9. Given how Queen’s Park and Ayr both collapsed like a house of cards, has there ever been an easier route to the play off final?
  10. Impressive commitment to getting the most out of your ill-judged embarrassing lockdown purchase.
  11. Brian Graham backs into the Ayr player and then goes down holding his face totally at it. Foster claims that it’s Ayr hitting him early to send a message. Who thought that a Thistle player was a good choice for co-commentator?
  12. No real complaints at that list. MacDonald probably the only one I would have liked to have stayed, but then reducing the big wage players is a sensible move. If any part of the team needed surgery then it was the defence, so Lang and Nolan departing can hopefully lead to something better and a bit more solid. More encouraging is the retained list, looking at that squad there’s the core of a decent side there. If we make the right additions then it could be something to really look forward to.
  13. This season was ultimately disappointing but wouldn’t call it laughably shite. Was always going to be a transition season with a fairly tight budget and the after effects of the DG signing/McGlynn’s exit. Throw in the ownership/off field stuff too. As others have said it was a vast improvement on the form January - end of season last year and there were plenty good moments to enjoy. Murray had shown more than enough to give us a bit of hope that Year 2 would be better, especially with greater stability behind the scenes.
  14. Do other clubs pay full compensation for managers? I know their employer typically has to if they sack them but if it’s a case of a manager wanted by another club then I would suspect it’s more likely the two clubs will agree a nominal payment for the manager to move on without too much of a fuss. I don’t think Dundee would have to pay Rovers all of what’s left on Murray’s contract? Could be wrong.
  15. Although glad we got Connolly signed before this blew up.
  16. Seems a bit of an odd choice from Dundee if this is true. Not sure how I feel about this from our point of view. Liked Murray and his calm approach and always feel that continuity is better than chopping and changing, but then with the new structure the Board has brought then maybe it’s better to have a fresh start. If we get someone decent as a replacement obviously. Which is always the worry…
  17. Delighted that Connolly has signed on. Shows that we can be competitive with players that other teams will be interested in. McGill a solid addition as well. Good day all round.
  18. Quite like a red away kit. Yellow can be hit and miss depending on the shade. Feel similar about the two hoops, doesn’t really mean anything to me as I never saw the team play in it, but always get mentioned in these debates so maybe it could be a classic. Presume that the new commercial guy will have a say as what will sell is probably going to be the main consideration. Anyone know what the big sellers of the past have been? The Remember top feels like one that sold well, but no idea if that’s true or not.
  19. Also being reported by The Record Jamie MacDonald has turned down a new contract and looks set to leave Raith Rovers. The experienced keeper was offered a new deal but was asked to take a significant cut. The 37-year-old has other Championship options and is also on the radar of a Premiership side, who are looking to bring in another goalkeeper as back-up. MacDonald, who has been at Kirkcaldy since 2020, was one of Rovers’ most consistent performers this season and in recent years. It remains to be seen if a deal can be struck but it is looking increasingly likely he will be set for a fresh start next season.
  20. Dougie back and just play him in the Pars games. Anyone got the picture of him and Falkingham?
  21. Noticed it was white yesterday. The blue looks cracking though. Looking forward to how the revamped website will look. The current one is decent enough but feels like it’s been the same for a long time.
