  1. If the owner had just hung it at games then the club would not have been able to do anything, but by posing with it alongside terrorist, sectarian flags pre-match he has handed the club a perfectly valid reason to bin it at home games. The Board get the power of social media so allowing something that’s gonna damage the reputation of the club is a no-brainer.

  2. That picture now has over 300,000 views on Twitter. That’s a lot of people potentially thinking we’re now some sort of Rangers tribute act. All because of one sectarian ‘supporter’.

Would like to see the new Board take a bit of a stand on this as well as on the young team invading the pitch at full time. We’re a community club, not a home for sectarian bigots and wannabe pavement dancers.

  3. Scrappy game. Started on fire as usual, but after going 2-0 up we’ve looked a bit pedestrian. Morton goal was a cracking header. Couldn’t really see what happened at the penalty but really picky ref so there’s no way there won’t be a sending off. Just hope it’s not for us. Liking the look of Hamilton, really offers something different to the last few seasons. Fingers crossed for the second half.

  4. Our defence is going to kill us. Been absolute pish at both goals. Murray isn’t up to match fitness and shouldn’t be playing. Fucking injuries has forced him in. We’ve also missed a few sitters here. Murray and Hamilton. We seem to be punting it long more down the right. Not sure if that’s a new tactic. Hopefully better in the second half but not hopeful.

  5. This already feels like an early test of our credentials. Not been easy at Firhill in recent games so to go there and come back with a win or even a draw would be a great statement of intent. With a full squad I’d fancy us but would happily take a point given our injuries. Colin Weir stand is grim, far prefer when we’re in the Jackie Husband.

Still think we are going into the new season with not a huge amount of obvious difference in our weak areas.

This. Same old soft centre at the heart of the defence as last season. Murray replacing Corr will help here but may not solve it. Also injuries are killing is yet again. Really missing Brown and Connelly.

Jokes on you when Annan and Albion both win on Sat and we end up through as group winners...

In all seriousness, I'd be surprised if a win for you guys at the weekend wasn't enough to see you into the last 16. Second placed sides in Groups C, D and E look most likely to potentially edge you out though.

Probably need Cove to beat Hamilton or Inverness to take something off Dundee. That or a good few goals might do it.

Am I the only one who thought big Kev was good tonight? Aye he doesn’t look  confident in certain aspects of his game but the more he plays I reckon the more confident he’ll get with the other aspects like coming for crosses and all that

Good probably a stretch, but definitely potential there. As you say needs games and confidence. Hopefully with a settled, experienced defence in front of him then it’ll click.
