  1. There's been some breath-taking long-range solo attacks this classics season.

But f**k me it hasn't half been boring. It is quite the thing to watch, but it just takes away from a cracking run in to the finish.

Pogi and MVDP have dominated by making it a fairly tame watch.

Strade Bianchi, Pogi goes solo with 80k to go. MVDP won E3 after going solo at 43k to go. In Flanders, MVDP won after going solo with 45k to go. MVDP won Paris Roubaix, going solo with 60k to go. Pogi wOn LBL, going solo with 35k to go.

Impressive as hell, but not exactly exciting racing.

  2. Not buying into this Rangers/Dundee result fucking us over patter.

We need to look after ourselves. If we can pick up a result against the OF in the last 5 games, then great. If we don't and finish 6th behind Dundee, then thems the breaks.

It feels like we may just be running out of steam towards the tail-end of the season. Hopefully we can pick up a few decent results to get ourselves over the line.

Either way, we've had another very good season. Hopefully we can round it off by finishing 5th.

  3. What's the end goal by showing the CCTV footage? Serious question. What did AEW/Tony think this would achieve?

My personal opinion was always that I thought Punk was a fairly egotistical arsehole, but who was, more often than not, correct in everything he was saying about the Bucks and their crew.

After Brawl In and the Perry situation, my take was that he may or may not have been correct in his actions, but that Tony/the disciplinary committee decision was a joke.

All airing the footage has done has shown me that Punk accurately described the situation.

I don't know if Tony/AEW thought it would be some sort of gotcha moment. But for me, all it's done is show that Tony is in fact a clown and that Punk, as much of an arsehole as he always comes across, was actually telling the truth here.

It was a stupid move and everyone except Tony knew it would be.

He was a known forum poster back in the day I'm sure.

More just saying that although Twitter is a bit of a bubble it is a bit wild how much money there is for people to be made on anything negative towards AEW.

Like Cornette or Bischoff I guess but there's more put there.

If you put on a shit TV show, you get called out on it. Tony is 100% disingenuous to suggest all criticism is "in bad faith". You can say that about any TV show ever made.

We've also got Offord, but he's hardly been outstanding on loan, so sadly I can't see him making the step up.

Actually, despite a slow start, where he was on the bench virtually every week, in recent weeks he has actually been more involved in a Stirling Albion bid to avoid the relegation play-off.

He's chipped in with a few goals and assists in recent week and certainly seems to be a bit of a bright spark in an otherwise poor Stirling Albion side.

  6. Count me in, I will accept a blunder every season against us like that West Brom game if meant not having every single game re-refereed by VAR.

When fouls and offsides which are not clear and obvious are being flagged up multiple times in every game - yeah let's get rid of that. It's a nonsense.

Referees have cushy jobs these days. Make the bare minimum on-field decisions and just let VAR referee the game for you so that when you do actually have to make a decision you get to take 5 minutes to watch it frame-by-frame as many times as you like.

VAR is not being utilised in the way we were told it would be when it was introduced. Get it to f**k.

  7. The real issue for me is that, clubs here don't have the budget to do it properly. I'm so sick of incidents going to a VAR review and you get camera shots, none of which are at an angle to definitively say what's actually happened. We don't have enough cameras at the games to implement it properly.

I believe in Scotland it's 6 cameras per game - 2 in the main stand, 1 in line with each penalty box and 1 behind each goal. You only actually get decent angles on Sky games where they supply the additional cameras.

VAR being implemented under strict budgets is ever going to work well.

  8. Interesting - https://www.stmirren.com/club-news/5337-club-statement-var-error-v-ross-county

In this instance, a "whoops, our bad, soz" won't do much to appease the club or supporters in their belief that the officials operating VAR just aren't up to scratch.

Personally, I think VAR has its value, but it should be shelved until we have officials capable of using it properly.

That non-decision could ultimately cost us European football. In instances like this, where such a blatant f**k up has been made, there should be some sort of explanation put forward as to why and how the mistake was made - otherwise there's absolutely no trust or confidence that it will be implemented properly going forward.

  9. I have absolutely no idea what Levein was trying to do at all today.

Even when it was only 1-0, St Johnstone offered nothing.

At 2-0 down with 25 minutes+ to play, still nothing. They didn’t pin us in and try to get back in to it. They literally just rolled over.

That’s the poorest I’ve seen against us this season - and that includes us pumping St Johnstone 4-0 earlier this season.

    Abject.

  10. A weirdo element of our support didn't want Robinson to begin with and actively relish in us picking up poor results as a stick to beat him with.

He's comfortably the best manager we've had in my near 30 years going to games.

Chinning him for absolutely everything and anything is pathetic. A tiny section wanted him sacked for "sarcastically applauding" after a game FFS.

Some utter oddballs just don't want him at the club for some unknown reason.

I'm no particular fan of Willie Miller, but I don't see the crime here.

Hoilett was played for Blackburn, QPR, Cardiff, and Reading, as well as MLS and with small clubs in Germany. There will be literally hundreds of players of that profile that none of us on here will be able to say more than "Don't know much about him but he's a ___ international". Don't really see the issue.

Does anyone one here genuinely "know much" abut him?

God forbid he actually does some research prior to the game he's being paid to cover by the national broadcaster.

  12. Not sure why Docherty is even comparing the two handballs.

The one conceded against Hearts, Ashcroft is turned side on and it hit's his outstretched hand. Unfortunate,  but it's an un-natural position and a penalty.

The one last night, Boyd-Munce has his hand literally down by his side, not in an un-natural position and not making himself bigger. Clearly never a penalty.

The whole argument is fucking stupid.

  13. It certainly looked as if Carson was relying on Olusanya being offside. It appeared he just let him place the ball past him because he was offside and assumed it'd be called back for the freekick. Get it fucking up him.

I'm not usually one to stick up for shite refs, but in real time I, and everyone around me, thought Olusanya was a mile off. I suspect it's because he's so fast, but he looked a good yard offside. I was amazed when I saw the highlights and he was in fact a yard onside.

EDIT - The west stand linesman was, however, an absolute mile behind play, and was in no position to make a call one way or the other.

  14. Right from the first rumour, I just couldn't see KVV coming to us. Don't get me wrong, it was totally worth a punt and Killie have pulled off quite the coup.

That said, KVV doesn't particularly strike me as a SR striker. Is he the guy that will do plenty of donkey work out of possession? I don't think so.

But, purely based on last season, clubs in our position cannot afford to pass up on someone who is capable of that amount of goals for a diddy side. It was worth a shot and it's not worked out. We're no better or worse off than we were 24 hours ago.

  15. I'm not sure why folk feel bad for Mollie. She was a hopeless sheep from the very start.

The blueprint has been laid. Mostly terrible or under estimated faithfuls reach the final. If there's a very good faithful who becomes a "Traitor hunter", they are almost certainly a Traitor.

There were so many plot holes in Mollie's voting that I have no sympathy.
