Don’t read too much into friendly results, but we can certainly do with a bit of optimism going forward. I would imagine we will have a few loan players coming into the squad, as right now I can’t see us getting anywhere near top 4.

Any word on season ticket sales? I see Stenhousemuir are selling adult season tickets at a bargain £180 and supporters can pay up £18 a month over 10 months. A great example of how to treat fans and how to attract more. Our board on the other hand…

£180 for an adult season ticket! That’s how you attract the local support and entice fans to back the team, unlike our board who seem keen to alienate supporters. Have to say, looking from the outside I’m a bit envious of the feel good factor around Stenny for the upcoming season, us on the other hand are at the other end of the scale.

The better team, although Costa Rica defended well. Had the Wood goal stood, it would have been a different game. VAR is fine but when replays are shown in slow motion then everything looks a foul.

Mon the Kiwi’s! Been here for coming up 8 years so they are my adopted team. Football is certainly growing here and has over taken rugby in terms of participation. I’ve done my C License coaching and got a good gig at a good club so qualification will mean more money for the federation which will trickle down to my level and boost facilities. With the women’s World Cup coming up soon over here and Australia, things are on the up.

I’m not on Twitter but just had a look at what was going on there. I’m all for not having a Dumbarton v East Fife game, but instead have Insall v Wallace 4 times a season instead.

Going by his social media; it looks like Wallace is having a good time reading this thread. If he had put in the same effort on the pitch as he does on his Instagram then he might be playing at a higher level. Good riddance, although that means we now have him and McGeever to score a few in each game against us next season.

I’m glad that he has gone, he isn’t the same player from 3-4 years ago and it has freed up some wages as well as removing someone who clearly didn’t want to play for us. The squad needed a massive overhaul after last seasons shit show and we are doing it. If we had the choice of Trouten or Wallace, I’m taking Trouten every time.

On his day, Wallace is a very good player for this level but unfortunately last season was a disaster not only for him but the whole club. He was clearly not really interested so best get rid now during pre season as opposed to August again and leave us up the shitter. I’m hoping with the free wages of Swanson, Smith and now Wallace we should be able to attract a few quality players now.

The Agnew replacement we’ve needed after the disastrous Swanson replacement. If we can get a fit Trouten we will have a good player at this level with bags of experience that we will need if we want to get top 4. Hopefully more quality signings to come.

Fair play to Stenny, getting their signings done early and have the makings of a pretty handy squad.

I think it sums up the general apathy around the place at the moment.

I get that reducing the season ticket prices might be counter productive, but we have to think long term and start to encourage the next generation of supporters now. Our home support must be around the 400 mark and dropping by the year I would think so we have to try new things and encourage more people.

I see Bonnyrigg have an adult season ticket for £160. Makes our decision to nearly double that price embarrassing and laughable.

Fleming is certainly an upgrade on Gallagher so not disappointed with the signing.

It will be interesting to see the season ticket sales. The prices are ridiculous, I know that the cost of living has gone up but after one of the worst seasons in recent history and dropping down to L2 we aren’t exactly encouraging new supporters to come along. The apathy around the club is palpable and I fear we could easily do a Cowden/Brechin this season. The news of our first signing has been met with joy by the Forfar fans. I hope that the board have some plans to arrest the slide both on and off the park but I doubt it.

Sounds like a great player. Just give us the L2 title now.

Players like to play for certain managers whether or not they are relegated so I wouldn’t read too much into a massive fall out. Young also knows these players so you aren’t taking a gamble on signings either. Davidson and Dunsmore had been decent players for us but not recently so not disappointed that they have gone. Denholm was ok, too but all of these players are certainly replaceable.

I like occasions when all of us diddies can unite as one.

Plenty time for new signings coming in. I know people get frustrated when other clubs are making transfers but players are still under contract at other clubs. If we are still scrambling around for players in August like this season, then we can start to panic.

What’s with the animosity between Livi and Cowden? Mocking Livingston’s support is a bit ironic. It’s not their fault that their town don’t back them. I’m well aware that Levenmouth has the same problem. We all support diddy teams together, and sadly every town and city in Scotland has too many knuckle draggers who don’t care for their local club.

Cowdownbeath. Feel for the fans, and hopefully the pyramid opens up a bit to make it easier to get back out of the LL/HL (without the bigots of course). Enjoy the away trip back down to Berwick and I’m sure we will probably see you in the LL in the not too distant future.

What an awful, awful game of football. I still wish my useless side was in this position mind you. Love the ‘heads gone’ from Mickey Stewart though.
