Thought we were outstanding last week but one swallow doesn't make a summer, hopefully we can push on and start climbing the league. The Glens seem to be keeping their better performances away from home.

Seems strange there is a comment on here on Tuesday and low and behold Talbot are informed about a racist comment today. It's also puzzling that whoever was offended didn't approach a Talbot steward or contact the club to complain but decided to contact the local media. Oh yes there wasn't a black or ethnic player in the Darvel team, so to me it's shit stirring of the highest order.

It seems strange that every neutral fan I spoke to yesterday was cheering on Talbot. I know we are hated in the non-league circle but thankfully one man and one man alone is tarnishing your club. Auchinleck Talbot are not a two year project, what was on the park, in the dugout and the surroundings took the hard work of mere supporters that can remember the 60's and 70's when we didn't have a pot to piss in. I don't grudge Darvel there money its the nature of the beast, I do take great delight in one of your members constantly falling on his arse as he proceeds to alienate a great wee club who would do well with a quarter of the cash that's flung at it.

Maybe the money is drying up since they don't have a support at home or away so to make sure they get more money they clicked everyone in and wouldn't let freebies in but if talbot want to give out complimentary tickets that's upto talbot nothing to do with Darvel they are a joke the sooner they get out the league or go bust the better bust would be better they are embarrassing
Wonder what the Darvel fans will do now seeing the plan to have extra games this season fell flat on its arse.

Question for Talbot, especially financially, is do they stick or twist. Well, looks like they've decided to stick and probably gamble upon Darvel getting promoted to the Lowland League or for them to have a massive fallout and return to their rightful place down the leagues.
Sloan deserves support and respect because of what he has achieved.
The Talbot support have always had a bit of a reputation for being entitled. Well, now is the time to get rid of that reputation and get right behind your club, a chance to show others that supporting Talbot isn't just about Junior Cup wins and the like.
It's a testing time for most clubs in the premier league given what Darvel are doing. Players will be looking at Darvel and demanding greater remuneration from other clubs. Time to keep things sensible short term as what Darvel are doing won't last forever.
M8 your preaching to a club that has sat back and watched the likes of Hurlford, the Meadow and Kilwinning spunk money at a chance to have a day in the sun, and then implode.

I'm interested in the holiday/Rangers theory as he only missed seven games last season, three he was an unused sub and I think he missed a couple through penalty points. He was however benched for two important finals where he scored in both of them.

I think Friday nights team selection probably would have been the last straw for Jamie. How can a player of that calibre be benched when we had a centre/left defender in his place.

It's not all about history, its about the way the club conducts itself. Your club don't seem to understand that which is a shame because with your unequaled wealth you have the chance to promote WOSL football but the only thing you bring to the table is bad carma. Hopefully (holidays not permitted) Darvel will move to the LL league where they definately belong as no club in their right mind can compete with the money thats massaging somebody's ego.

M8 I know your on the wind up, but your banging on about a club who have brought so much to the table over the years. Compare that to a club who were caught training during covid, who were caught on a bike run during covid, who went on holiday during a play-off, who withdrew from a competition because it was below them, and withdrew from the Junior FA, removed Juniors from their name and then slid back into the competition when they thought the cup was winnable. Your club will never walk in our footsteps. Always remember that! Lesson over.

Imo the only game we've been outplayed for long spells was against Beith. We've lost poor goals in games and a couple of times lost two in quick succession which has left us up against it.
The only thing I took from that game was a Peasy fridge magnet for the cleaner at my work who collects them. She's got ones from all around the world but this will be her first from Springburn.
