Leafs beat the Flames 3-2 on Saturday to go 3-0-0, great start for us. Phill Kessel added another 2 goals, he's had an amazing start to the year, 5 goals, 3 assists, 8 points in 3 matches with a +/- of 7 alongside Dion Phaneuf. Kessel has netted 5 out of 11 shots too, giving him a 45% shot tally. Joffrey Lupul has started well too, with 5 points (2+3). Next up, home game vs Colorado tonight.

Leafs back in action tomorrow after a week without any games. Good start to the season beating the Habs 2-0 and the Sens 6-5 (after nearly chucking a 5-1 lead). Hat-trick for Phil Kessel in the Sens game, hoping for plenty of the same from him rest of the year. Hopefully we can sneak into the playoffs this year, but the aim is to keep building for the next two or three seasons until we've got a team capable of challenging for the Cup.

I'd guess Hamilton would have achieved similar having been in every league in the past 10 years, and Morton would have done similar to Stranraer. Patrick Thistle have spread across three different leagues too. It be interesting to compare to see if any of those three have had any long term non-matchups, and see if they are similar to Stranraer. I see a Morton fan has already done this for their team Can't think of any other team that has spanned across the leagues...perhaps Alloa and Arbroath? I remember they've had one or two seasons in the First Division alongside being in the 2nd/3rd. Maybe even Cowdenbeath too.

I completely agree with you. He's very unlucky to be playing at the same time as Federer and Nadal because those two will go down in history as remembered names alongside guys like Borg, Connors, McEnroe, Becker and Sampras. Andy is an outstanding player. The top four of Federer, Nadal, Djokovic and Murray are miles clear of the rest of the world, and Federer and Nadal used to be a good bit clear of Novak and Andy, but Novak has closed it down now while Andy can do it when he really puts his mind to it and stays confident. Then you get the good players such as Tsonga who can cause the top four big problems but don't have enough in them to challenge them regularly enough. Then you get maybe another level of decent player before you pretty much find the guys just making up the numbers who will be amazing compared to ourselves but cause very little problems for the good players. The people who call Andy sh*te are just morons. That's pretty much claiming the only people in the entire world who are good at tennis are Rafa, Roger and Novak. Lots of players on the tour would love a chance to play as well as Andy. Most players also find it very, very hard to take a set off the top guys, some get lucky in Round 1 when the opponent is just getting into the stride of things. Even taking one set off Rafa was good going by Andy, although we all wish it was more. He's still young, got plenty of years to try win a Slam. And even if he doesn't win one, he wont ever be a failure because he's had a great career so far that so many tennis players can only dream of.

Completely agree with you. It definitely needs more coverage because it really is entertaining to watch. Just because it is miles behind the NHL (and always will be) doesn't mean it's not entertaining. After all, the SPL is the best league in Scotland and most of the matches are bloody dire. NHL will have nicer stuff, but the EIHL is still very entertaining. On your last point, I remember a match vs Coventry this season at the Braehead Arena. 1-0 down, 8 seconds left and we smash in the equalizer, sent me mental I think we lost in OT though
