  1. Yes - Brora are at a higher level than Darvel are at present
  2. Can't stand the old duffer but Willie Miller summed it up perfectly from an Aberdeen perspective.
  3. Was just going to post the same. Saw him at Rugby Park 3 weeks ago when he was dreadful there as well
  4. That top photo is a great photo. I've lived next to Paisley since 1961 and don't remember these flats at all - I only remember the ones that are in the bottom picture. When were they knocked down?
  5. If anyone is going and is over 60 the travel tickets are half price. The transport system is so well run and easily affordable. Roughly under £5 for a 24 hour ticket and under £2.50 if you are over 60.
  6. You didn't need VAR to see it was a penalty, that alone is on Collum. VAR should have come to his rescue but how a 'supposed top referee" cannot see that is a penalty is beyond me. He was staring right at it. TBH it's what we have just come to accept in Scottish football as it panders to 2 teams, hence why I stopped going to Ibrox and Parkhead for years. Postecoglu has just turned out like every previous bitter Celtic manager - great when winning, but moans repeatedly when things go against him. I honestly thought he was better than people like O'Neil, Rodgers & co, but sadly not.
  7. Exactly - the vast majority are a poison on Scotland and Scottish football.
  8. Of course you would have accepted that logic if the roles had been reversed. It was a stone wall penalty and Collum shat it because he didn't want the abuse/criticism from Ange and co. for giving a penalty so late in the game against Celtic. Th better team won in the end but that should not have been at the expense of honest refereeing.
  9. Don't believe 5 is Rugby Park - our ground was oval shaped originally. I actually haven't a clue where it is. I wondered whether 8 was Firhill, but then saw number 2 was Firhill.
  10. That's very handy, as i'm off there on Sunday afternoon for 4 nights.
  11. We hired bikes and cycled across the bridge and on into Sausolito, stayed there for a few hours then got the ferry back to SF. We also went to the baseball one night as well, which was enjoyable. HK Blues covers the best things to do n his post yesterday..
  12. I never had any intention of going as I don't support either team and certainly wouldn't pay £22 to see a team i don't support. £15, which I think would be sufficient, is what I would have priced it at.
  13. Is that why I didn't see you on Sunday? Agree with you 100%. I'm paying just £6 more for a cup semi final at Hampden next week, in what will be another 1 sided tie and probably a scudding for us. I didn't even pay £22 for any Championship game last season and these teams were of a far higher standard than Darvel.
  14. £22 is criminal for what is essentially a 6th tier side. Hope it backfires on the Pieman and there are loads of tickets not sold. Pure greed
  15. Once Steve Fulton got up to speed, usually by the end of September, he was an excellent player for Kilmarnock. His father was an excellent junior who unfortunately from my perspective scored the winner against Arthurlie in the 1981 Scottish Junior Cup Final at Hampden.
  16. I always liked The Specials and managed to see them on their 2009 tour in Glasgow. Great band live and brilliant vocals from Terry Hall
  17. I was there and missed both goals. My lasting memory was a 50-60 yard cross field pass from Dalglish to some Liverpool player. Killie then knocked St Mirren out of the Scottish Cup the next month at Love Street, which was great as I went to school in Paisley at the time.
  18. That must be about 8th or 9th time I've seen them. Britfloyd are also very good but they don't play Scotland too often from what I've seen.
  19. I was there last Friday night and they were superb again. I'll be going along again next November. Sadly there were 3 pissheads in front of me who won't remember a thing about it. I don't get why you spend money on something you won't remember the next day.
  20. I agree with your comments on McStay - he had potential and never fully realised it. I believe Ferguson was a far superior player.
  21. Saw First Aid Kit last night at the O2 and thought they were superb. First time I have seen them and was not disappointed. Great vocals, harmonies and backing band. I don't particularly like the O2 but it was a superb venue for them. Going to see The Proclaimers there tomorrow night and Paul Heaton & Jacqui Abbott at The Hydro on Friday and looking forward to both.
  22. TBH I was standing in line with the 18 yard line where Arthurlie scored from when the sending off occurred and didn't get the best of views but from where I was it looked like his foot had gone in on the Arthurlie player. I moved back round to the other end just after Beith equalised so saw the foul I referred to clearly.
  23. He was the difference between the 2 teams on Saturday. Need to get as many points as possible when he is still at Arthurlie as he'll be impossible to replace at this level.
