Mcglynn won the PFA Scottish manager of the year award back in 2011 I think it was so he surely must've been doing something right.
I don't know how tbh. He bottled the Fife derby playing Andy "flappy" McNeil instead of David McGurn who seemed to play a blinder in them.

Such anger in one so young. Have a beer and chill oot min
That anger is not at all misplaced. Brian was complicit in aiding and abetting Masterton and I can't remember why but I was on dot net fairly recently and Brian was still defending his actions during that period claiming he did nothing wrong.

Wee café at the top of the escalator in the Kingsgate beside the Erskine Church it's round about a fiver for a bacon and coffee and that's one of the cheapest places in Dunfermline imo.

Two unconvincing wins against a covid riddled Dumbarton side and a really poor Stenhousemuir team are hardly skelpings...Absolutely. Even Peter Grant skelped part time sides.
A good part time side would have made us their bitches, and handed us our worst result against them since 1992... Oh wait Arbroath did.
I don't recall Grant skelping Civil Service Strollers or Spartans.0 -
Salvage? He took over us one point behind Morton, and five points clear of fifth place.
He won 5 games out of 17, it wasn't so much that he didn't salvage our season, he absolutely set fire to it. Our worst ever manager and I'm including Peter Grant in that discussion.
John Potter worse than the only manager in the club's entire history to never win a league game?John Potter was the worst manager in our history. Easily.
Behave yersels.

Then had the cheek to call the fans chanting "what a waste of money" a disgrace.

James McPake scored the goal that got Davie Hay sacked.
He deserves great adulation for that imo.4 -
When McPake was punted Dundee were 11th and 3 points ahead of St. Johnstone with a game in hand.So Dundee's entire season was really just the games McGhee was in charge of then?
Last time I checked 11th in the SPFL Premiership is not an automatic relegation place.

As someone who enjoys pedantry, you'll appreciate that McPake didn't relegate his previous club. Mark McGhee did.The club have pivoted back to having a manager who will help 'bring through youth' with McPake, at least going by the stuff Cook and McPake have said.
Why did they abandon this for Grant and Hughes? Just another question to ask about those two abysmal appointments.
Let's hope that McPake is also not an abysmal appointment. Appointing a manager who has just relegated their previous team can't go wrong...0 -
Lip service. Nothing more.

Aye but they'll try spin it in a way to reflect that we should all take collective responsibility.
"You know, you fans are to blame. You made Yogi cry like a little girl" Kind of patter.
Fixed it for you0 -

Downfermline. If Queen's Park can't beat us they should fold tbh.0 -
Two questions for The Pars board
Why lie, and lies, why ?0 -
Bit of trivia that you may or may not be aware of:Fair point, I didn't consider that although Leish did the score our last winner at Ibrox...........[emoji3]
The last player to score the winner for The Pars at Ibrox before Leishman was Bert Paton.4 -
Jesus Christ. I will now have some fun with the post.In reverse order the 3 worse things that have happened so far this season.
3. Appoint Peter Grant the 2nd worst manager in DAFC history. (Would have been the first but as far as I know did not have sex with underage children like the current I*****d manager.)
2. Ross McArthur releasing that clusterfuck of a statement blaming DAFC fans for the mess we are in
1. Fans thinking that the sun shines out of Ross McArthur's arse despite him calling you scum. The sooner he goes the better. What he said in that statement was inexcusable. Apparently he is one of us because he gets angry when a decision goes against us. Just like against QOS when he blamed the officials rather than Peter Grant. Sooner he goes the better.
In Yogi we trust. Should have appointed him 2 months before we did unfortunately he has to pick up the shit that PG and RM created.
3. Asterisking out Ireland. Are you 6? A bigot? A 6 year old bigot? Peter Grant is the worst ever Pars manager, that is indisputable despite whatever criminal offences others are alleged to have taken part in. Alleged being the key word as he was never charged with anything.
2. Unless Ross McArthur has split personality disorder then it wasn't him who released that statement as highlighted by the attached screenshot.
1. Once again if you read the statement again properly the comments are attributed to Thomas Meggle.
When exactly did Ross McArthur call the fans scum? The only scum are the cretins who destroyed his property, spat on him and verbally abused his family.
If it wasn't for Ross McArthur we wouldn't have a club to support, or be supporting some phoenix club in the Lowland League.
He has made several mistakes and misjudgements and will admit that himself but has put in several hours for the benefit of the club unpaid (as have all members of the board) even before we were in administration (only recently learnt that he funded the Norrie poster) but when ungrateful, uninformed arseholes make comments like this he must wonder why he bothered.

Was it as many as 20? I thought it was something like 9, then he got injured and Westie kept the jersey again.Whereas Zoran Lemajic should be in with a shout of worst goalie for never having kept a clean sheet in 20 appearances or so. An utterly useless flapmaster.0 -
Jim McQueen has a faultless record as a Pars keeper. 2 games played 0 goals conceded after we brought him in on a short term deal in 1994 when Westie picked up an injury and new keeper Jim Will (another candidate for worst Pars keeper) had fucked his ankle in a pre-season friendly v Bolton.

Remember I posted on Facebook that Mehmet was shite and you said I was being incredibly harsh? [emoji23]Best - Westie, Butler, Ruitenbeek, McGregor, De Vries, Gallacher, Murdoch
Worst - Smith, Scully, Mehmet, OFW, Hrivnak
Best Pars keeper: Westie
Worst: Even though De Vries got us relegated and cost us the Scottish Cup has to go to Mehmet.0 -
Is this still a thing?Like yourself.
Another hypocrite.
You seem upset.1 -
If Inverness lose on Saturday they deserve to fold.Away win then.0 -

Istvan Kozma when he could be arsed which in the 1991-92 season wasn't often.
Still managed to con Graeme Souness into giving us 200K for him though.0 -
Yeah, when we beat Dundee 1-0 in the League Cup. Flapped at a cross allowing Jackson Longridge a free header, made a few other blunders that went unpunished. The save from Wighton aside, he wasn't tested so much.
Didn't Hamilton have an absolute nightmare against us for Dundee a couple seasons back?
In an unrelated note maybe I should change my avatar but then again he did leave us in this mess...0
