  1. You're obviously the forum's self appointed gambling expert or a wannabe bookie.

Why do you suppose there's a limit on the amount punters can put on a Yes win but not on a No win?

Is the amount placed on a Yes win more or less than a No win?

    Just asking like!

There is no limit. You can place as many bets as you want on NO winning.

Obviously more money has been lashed onto NO to win.

    Just telling like!

  2. Is this a serious question?

Bookies odds don't follow likelihood of victory, they follow the numbers of people betting on one outcome or another.

If enough people were betting on Yes it would show a Yes win as an odds on bet despite the polls being the other way round.

Christ almighty. What the hell do they teach kids at schools these days?

    Totally wrong.

More bets have been placed on YES to win. 58.38% of all bets on indyref have been placed on YES.

  3. Pretty much the entire campaign has been run on the basis of 'Vote Yes/No' and things will be better for you. When I lived in Leith one of the first public meetings that I saw advertised was by the Scottish Socialist Party, of all people, and it was titled 'Come and hear why independence will make you better off'.

    Ah, Project Paradise.

It may well work. Project Fear isn't over the winning line yet.

  4. Why don't you tell us yet another betting anecdote. I'm sure that will work for you.

    OK.

If you can manage to join @Betfair.com, you can lay or back and make some cash. The secret is to speculate right now. If you feel really strongly on the subject, depending on what side you want to win, you can have a flutter, your side loses, and still be happy on the 19th Sept. That's what I did.

If YES wins, I, as a NO voter stand to make a £429.57 profit. (I started off with a £200 free bet from @bet365.) I blew the first £100 on Dundee United to be runners up to Celtic last year. How pish am I at fitba betting eh? Am terrible.

So, give it a twirl. Open up an account that flings free betting money at you, keep mind you need to roll that free money over three times to get "free cash" but it is worth it in the long run. Here, I used to back a horse called Long Run years ago. So, aye, give it a bash. The 1/7 izny very appealing from your point of view mind.

  5. Media bias? That's a big issue for you? Why on earth vote no?

Media bias is huge in Britain.

    SNP/YES are victim to it.

UKIP is also victim to it.

Stop paying your TV license and be a part of stopping one branch (BBC) of the bias.

  6. Tony Blair isn't far right. At most he's slightly right of the centre line. The only reason Labour picked him was to try and grab the centre ground, and it worked masterfully.

He didny hang about after getting elected to turn his back on the left. Old Labour died with John Smith. Me Labour voting died the same day.

  7. You are serious? You're defending the far right. Who is far right here?

The last far right British guy I noticed was Tony Blair. Bomb the lot was his motto.

He even got the job as middle east peace envoy and still wanted Syria bombed. Is that far enough to the right for you?

  8. Oh my fucking god. You guys are defending them. That's hilarious.

He also gave Blair praise as a great orator. Maybe Blair is a racist then. Surely the Mail on Sunday would have compared Blair, another war criminal, along with Hitler. Maybe they did and forgot to publish it.
