  1. Doubt it's a formality when you spend a significant current income stream to pay historic significant debtor. Spells big trouble. Probably towards the end of the game for City.
  2. I must admit up front I don't know anything about the internal club politics and ownership structure (apart from what is available from Companies House https://find-and-update.company-information.service.gov.uk/company/SC266592/filing-history ) but I am surprised at the outcome. Given what many of the City supporters observed and experienced when they were following Meadowbank Thistle, I am surprised that 1) a majority shareholder is in place 2) seemsis not aligned with what I presumed would have the DNA of the club and support that helped build the club to what it is/was a few years ago. Could more defensive and protective actions been taken when the old guard support had a bigger say in how the company/club was structured (pre 2019/2018) and limit the influence/voting of a single shareholder? Apologies if this has already been covered already, and would be happy to be directed to where this has been discussed.
  3. Weren't they previously Postal United?? Wasn't there some link up witht Liberton Cropley in mid 90s that went sour? Or am I mistaken?
  4. Diagree with you about Morton fans. They didnt boo but didl sing 'Meadowbank' at the end. However, I have vague recollections of someone showing me a letter published in an early ****ton programme from Arthur Montford praising the Meadowbank Thistle fans for applauding Rowan Alexander and the Morton team on their lap of honour at the end after receiving the 2nd Division trophy. No mention of stramashes or sight of sports jackets best seen in black and white.
  5. Ehhh.. That was the Supporters' Club coach you were on that day. Brake Club had given up running regular away coaches a couple of years before then and only the Supporters' Club took a bus that day.
  6. Too right. Agree with "all very odd" if no assumptions or constraints stated and agreed in employment or settlement agreement.
  7. But this is not deciding outcome of criminal case, let alone the consequences. Only if legal fees incurred by Green need to be paid by club/company. Don't get carried away too soon.
  8. Spot on from Judges. If alleged activity occured whilst Green was not an employee of club/company, how can an employment contract which included 'insurance' against legal whilst he was an employee cover him? ".... common sense..." Will be surprised if company/club need to foot bill in these circumstances.
  9. It's alleged he over-invested on the accelerator peddle while under-investing on the brakes.
  10. They were different offences therefore it seems logical that they have different outcomes and sanctions. If I recollect correctly, the club submitted forms that were inaccurate that did not declare the potential dual interest. If Rankine was fined and not required to dispose of his shares then he would have still held a potential influence in more than one club would he not?
  11. Fair enough. How big an increase in ticket and season ticket prices is your gut telling you Rangers fans would be prepared to pay to balance the budget?
  12. Presume he will still want to recover the amount of his director's loan - whether now or some future date. Would be an interesting construct of a deal. Also.... is he selling stake in Livi5 rather than the Club directly?
  13. If you manage the great escape - well done! However this thread originated from the last administration event and wasn't started by a Livingston fan. So its a bit unfair to take umbridge at non-Livi fans posting.
  14. What's the tipping point for them to become a zombie company, where they just cannot repay their debts? Probably 20 years ago.......
  15. So... 1. Whose loan will Ibrox be used as security for? 2. Will Ibrox be sold instead to Mike Ashley? 3. Has Ibrox already been secured against a loan? 4. Is there something else stopping Ibrox being used as security?
