  1. Broadfoot has been good in his appearances of late. O'Connor has had a few moments without being poor. Oakley back is tremendous, but he will be lacking match fitness. Get a good 60 minutes out of him and it could make all the difference
  2. We're going through a wee mini injury crisis at the moment with players out and some playing who are not 100%. Listening to Dougie last week he was hoping to get a couple of players back "within a week to 10 days" Whether those players make it for this game or not, who knows? If they don't make it I'd go with the same team we had against Hearts in the same positions and not like we had against Partick.
  3. A £200K profit for this season would be fantastic given how long we have been in fan ownership. The Club is in good hands too with people like Michael Harkins who do all this on a voluntary basis. Good news is some of this profit will go into next season's playing budget. Not an immediate concern, but something that will need to be addressed is the stadium itself in the near future. Diverting money to the stadium will mean other areas will suffer, possibly the squad budget. It will be some juggling act but it's something we'll need to face at some point
  4. Utd bottle crashed. Unless they come out in the 2nd half a changed team they're dropping all 3 points
  5. Our players will have had a couple of days rest before this game so hopefully batteries have been recharged after a grueling schedule. Maybe a game too soon for a couple of players currently on the injury list. But we should be full of confidence for this game. Time for our fringe players to show up and make their mark against a very ropy Partick defence. Liked the 3 at the back on Monday and perhaps it's something we should stick with for now
  6. Not for the first time I've said this this season but the Partick keeper is a liability
  7. Of course it's all about sticking the ball in the net. Utd did and we couldn't. But overall I don't think either team deserved to win it. A draw would have been a fair result
  8. Neither team deserved to win that. Utd managed to score in the 1st half and never really threatened us after that. We should have went ahead when their keeper dropped the ball but Robbie missed a tap in from 6 inches. Would like to see that one again as I'm mystified how he didn't score. Once Utd scored the time-wasting began. Keeper should have been booked in the 1st half and was at it all game. Jai clearly not match fit and was basically a man down. Garrity should have been on earlier. Draw would have been a fair result but it's just not happening up front for us right now
  9. Imrie saying Mullen may make it tomorrow. Fingers X'd
  10. The thing is we know McDonald is a very good keeper at this level, so it's not a lack of ability. I'm hoping that once he's got some match fitness or even a few days training then we begin to see a more on form keeper. Not playing or even training for months because of injury then getting thrown back into games without any training is a big ask for anyone
  11. Could we not have just got a domestic loan rather than an emergency loan before the window closed at the end of Feb last week? McDonald is a great keeper at this level but he's clearly not match fit and hasn't even had a full weeks training since November last year. Maybe he'll come good again after getting game time and some training under his belt??
  12. Struggling to remember a worse refereeing performance. Absolute dreadful stuff from the officials today. But apart from that we didn't look up for it today. Poor all over the park if I'm being honest. Power was probably our best player today. Garrity and McGrattan get their chance to day to impress but didn't take it. Both were poor.. Bearne looked lively when he came on and you have to feel for the lad not getting his chance to start. A game to forget for a thousand different reasons. Big improvement needed for Tuesday
  13. Absolutely outstanding result for Arbroath. Not going down without a fight
  14. It's actually quite incredible that watching Friday's match on TV the commentators were saying Partick are in with a chance of a title challenge. And here we are a few days later and it's a distinct possibility they could drop out the promotion play off's spot given the goals they are shipping at the back and games they are now losing
