  1. I wonder how difficult it would be for Scotrail to put a station at the line as it passes the Stadium?

Must be too expensive as surely they'd have though of that.

A station and a boozer next to the Stadium would make all the difference.

Edit- I can imagine a pub would do to well there away from events at the stadium right enough. :P

Yeah the line passes the stadium but it's the line to Grangemouth which isn't used...

  2. I presume those saying Colin Samuel would be a good signing did not watch any St. Johnstone matches last season? Higher level or not, he was utterly useless. No pace, no composure and poor percentage of headers won. He is able to hold the ball up when it's at his feet, but his distribution wasn't exactly great.

Anyway, he's not signing for Rovers so it's fine.

But he was good back in 2003.

  3. I would have been happy to keep the Warthog on for another year as most fans would have been, he scored 4 from open play which was better than Mehmet who he replaced had in any season, he will run all day long and has the best attitude from any player ive seen come to the club.

Obviously, his finishing is not the greatest, he would make some superb runs and chase things that seemed dead only to make something out of it, then fluff it. If Falkirk are doing well he could get 10-15 goals up front I would say, possibly more as he also seems to be a bit of a confidence player, the fans would love him though, Ayr, Cowden and us all think he's brilliant.

    Do they?

  4. £17 for an adult next season! £9 for concession! £20 for parent and child!

Kind of expected this to be honest, only £1 more is better than I thought it would be.

Crowds all over Scotland are going to be at their lowest for years due to people voting with their feet as you can't constantly lower the quality while increasing the price and expect to get away with it.

£40 for two adults and two kids to attend a first division game a joke!!! Oh and this is a dig at clubs in Scotland in general not just Raith.

If Tesco started to raise prices while constantly lowering the quality of their products would you continue to shop with them?

  5. We also received over a million for Crawford, Dair and Sinclair, none of which came through our youth ranks. McAnespie 900k again a young player not to come through our youth ranks. £2M from 4 players, not advocating that our youth set up be scraped but it appears to me we have reaped the rewards of other teams youth players, yet received very little over the years for our own. These 4 players also helped us win promotion, win a cup and play in Europe, the others mentioned above from our youth didn't.

No we didn't and in the end instead of money got Paul Hartley as Millwall were skint.

  6. Similar things were said about Tadé.

It's revisionism because they're annoyed with what they perceive to be disloyalty.

Loyalty dosen't exist in football anymore and that works both ways, you only have to look at posts made by people (me included) directed at the likes of Williamson having another year and last season when we found out Weir had another year to go.

If Baird had been rubbish most Raith fans would be all for the club trying to offload him...
