  1. I'm sure there are plenty with memories from the Morton game last week that they don't want.
  2. Cannot believe the video cuts away at 5:55. Can anyone tell me if your man there did launch the plastic cup he's got in his hand? The way he ducks under the crush barrier, fag still in mouth, is a thing of beauty.
  3. A team Thistle have famously had no issues dealing with in recent years.
  4. So what you're saying is that you like it when opposition teams play in a way that enables your team to beat them, as opposed to playing in a way that makes it difficult or impossible to beat them. It's radical, but I think I might just agree with you.
  5. I'll settle for him coming on for the last 10 minutes and winning a few headers while we hang on for a narrow win/draw.
  6. If he scores two last minute winners in the remaining 12 games of the season I'll build him a statue myself.
  7. We haven't conceded a goal in our last three games and managed to keep a clean sheet against United in the last game, so I'd give us a decent chance of keeping that up on Saturday.
  8. Hinds described on the official website as "an attack-minded striker". My favourite kind of striker.
  9. The Dunfermline announcer after the second goal: "Goalscorer for Queen's Park number 35 Mackenzie Carse". I know it must be hard seeing a former player come back and rip you apart, but to airbrush Dom Thomas out of history altogether seems a step too far.
  10. I think if Wilson's fit, as in not carrying any injuries, he'll be straight into the team, even if it has been a few months since his last game.
  11. For what it's worth, I think Ferrie is a good goalkeeper who regularly pulls off impressive saves, but his inability to come for crosses is something I imagine will put off teams from a higher level.
  12. If Soccerbase is to be believed then this is true. Six 'Football League Trophy' appearances since November 2019.
  13. After the United game on the telly last night, by the time this is finished I'll have heard 180 minutes of Billy Dodds in less than 24 hours. Racking my brains to try to think what I did to deserve such a brutal punishment.
  14. It was a back three of Robson, Thomson and Bannon last week, so assuming it will be the same again today. Mauchin and Bruce the wing-backs; Turner, Welsh and Longridge in the midfield and Thomas playing off Paton up front.
  15. Surprised to see Spong not starting, but there's been nothing I've seen in the first half of the season to say that anyone's undroppable, especially now that we've finally brought some experience in.
  16. The clown who single-handedly got us chucked out of the Scottish Cup for the first in the club's 156 year history is now president. Jesus fucking wept. Also worth pointing out that it took them an entire working day to get a 300-word statement out, during which time supporters were only able to find out the news on here or on the grapevine.
  17. True, but the crucial difference when it comes to the next destination is that the bulk of Robertson's development was at first team level, gradually moving up each time from Queen's to United to Hull until by the team he reached Liverpool he was pretty much straight into the first team.
  18. I'm just pleased the rest of what I wrote was sufficiently grown-up for you to correctly surmise that I'm not 8.
  19. On Davidson, he's best pals with one of my big cousins, so I've always had a bit of a soft spot for him, but I think it's a decent enough appointment. Hardly the most exciting, but given what we've had to endure over the first half of the season I'm looking forward to having a manager in charge whose focus is actually on winning games. As for what St Johnstone fans have had to say about him on here, I intend to employ the same strategy I do when I read negative reviews of something online that I've already purchased: outwardly scoff, deny, dismiss and hope furiously that they're wrong, while silently panicking that they're right.
  20. It's obviously a no-brainer for McKenna to go to Man U, both from his perspective and from the club's. And it'd be sensational if he were to go on to make it down there. But the success Doig, Ferguson, Hickey and Gauld have had isn't relevant here. Ferguson had played 130+ games in the top flight for Aberdeen, Doig had played 60+ for Hibs, Gauld had played 40 odd for United and even Hickey had had a season at Hearts. The three who went to Italy were all also signed to play for the first teams at the clubs they went to, if not straight away then within the space of a season or so. McKenna, meanwhile, has played a handful of games in the second tier and is being signed to go into the Man U youth set-up, from where there's only a tiny chance that he'll make it through to the first team.
  21. The writing was on the wall the minute the decision was taken to go into a season not actively seeking to do everything we could to put a winning team on the park, in addition to inflicting a transfer embargo on ourselves by refusing to sign anybody over the age of 23, or 12, or whatever it is. Absolutely fucking sick of almost everything to do with this club right now.
  22. I'll never forget her header at the death from the corner. Sends a shiver down my spine just thinking about it.
