  1. Aye. I remember that being on C5. I'm sure the nWo were on it each week or maybe I'm thinking of TNT. There used to be the Power Hour when it was the old NWA. It was on about 3 in the morning. Timer on the old VHS needed to be set for it.
  2. Agreed bud. He still looks good. He was a beast in his early days when he had the blonde flat top.
  3. Looks set up for a appearance at Summerslam. Brock Lesnar continues to stove Cena in after beating him and Sting comes to the rescue?
  4. Is Sting going to wrestle for the WWE? If so, at 55, it's a good few years too late to be debuting in the promotion?
  5. And the uncle is Barry Windham of the Four Horsemen.
  6. Just watched the Jones and Texeira fight. I have never in my life heard anybody talk as much pish as Joe Rogan and Mike Goldberg. The two of them would make excellent commentators in the WWE. Complete and utter bull shite for the duration of the fight. And Jon Jones is a fud too.
  7. Anybody give me a link to watch the show live tonight online. I've got a couple of boys on the nightshift tonight wanting to know. Thanks.
  8. Fighters of the year for me would be, in no particular order. Weidman, Belfort, Barao, Hendricks, Jones.
  9. Cheers bud. I'm not getting it through. My screen has said loading for about 10 minutes. Thanks anyway sir. Has it been any good?
  10. Can any of you kind gentlemen tell me how I can watch this live online. I'm nighshift just now on a works computer so I won't be able to download anything so is there any way I can watch this?
  11. Anybody got a link where I can see the full fight. Cheers.
  12. Agreed. When you've got a good instructor(s) and good training partners then it's so much easier to succeed. When guys fight with each other instead of aginst each other in training then it works out well. We normally take time out after a roll around to explain things to each other. If you tap someone you run him through how you got him. If you are trying like a bear to get the tap and can't get it, the other guy takes the time to show you how he countered it. It's all about learning and ensuring that you make your training partner as good as, if not better than you and things fall into place nicely.
  13. Steroids normally accounts for this.
  14. I got a letter from Sky on Thursday telling me that my ESPN subscription is due to end on 31 July 2013. Looks like we are getting rid of them right enough. Maybe whoever takes over the UFC will manage to make a better job of things.
  15. Aye. It would have been very interesting had Sonnen made it to the end of the round, which IMO, a ridiculous stoppage prevented from happening. Bad one for Belcher too although the fight was in the bag for Bisping at that point. Usual big power shot from Nelson that, when hitting the bullseye, is a lights out. Kongo is like Frank Bruno. Built like a brick shithoose, can hit like a train but turns into a drunk robot when hit. Vinny, Vinny, Vinny. What were you doing?????? Only daft folk stand still and let somebody punch them in the puss. All I can say is, that he's lucky that it was Phil Davis who was punching him. Had that been a Thiago Silva or a Shogun Rua then he would be waking up sair today. Miller and Healy was a cracking fight. It was one of them that could've ended at any time from a good strike or a submission.
  16. Being from a jujitsu background, I like Magalhaes and I hope he gets Davis down and submits him or does what Maia done to Fitch and thoroughly dominates him. I think Magalhaes break away from the UFC will have done him the world of good and made him a bit wiser with respect to the striking game. He relied on his jiu jitsu too much when he was in TUF as he was light years ahead of the rest on that discipline and it served him well but I think he'll have added to it.
  17. Bisping and Belcher is for the title of chief gatekeeper in the division. Belcher looked notably bigger than Bisping at the press conference yesterday. If Bisping loses this one then he's on the slide big time. I hope Sonnen does well.
  18. What a cracking idea it was to put that boy in the main event with Gegard Mousasi. The guy was so far out of his depth. This tells us nothing about how Mousasi is going to shape up against higher ranked LHW's. Surely there was somebody with a bit of credibility who was in shape and able to take this fight on short notice. Mousasi had a lot to lose in this one if that boy had caught him with a lucky one. It wouldn't have mattered a jot though. Make your mouth go and the UFC give you a title shot.
  19. I agree with you to a certain extent that the protective gear helps prevent certain injuries. But the protective gear can also act as a false gauge on how you go about your business. This close to a fight you want to be at peak performance ie treating each training session as if it's the real thing and going virtually baws out and replicating the fight so when it comes round you are automatically switched on for fight mode. If you're wearing a head guard etc then you don't really concern yourself with getting hit as much as you would on fight night. But then again headguards etc can prevent injuries which, in Gustafsson's case, can put you out of fights. It's catch 22 IMO. Nae protective gear means you have to work harder and be switched on more to prevent being hit or wearing it and having the false sense of security and preventing injuries.
  20. Nervous breakdown in the post for Bubba on TUF?
  21. I work in Fife and they cannae talk properly so they call their baton a botten. So, you are correct. He is a dick.
  22. How much of a botten is Bubba on TUF?
  23. It's not a stupid request. Dana White has spoken about both Silva/GSP and Silva/Jones. He'll be the decider if these were to happen. I'm not saying GSP is a shite fighter. I would like watching him if he attempted a finish to a fight. He has had umpteen opportunities to do this and hasn't or maybe couldn't. Think back to his attempts to submit Dan Hardy. A bona fide black belt would have torn the limbs from him. All I'm saying is that he errs on the side of caution for my liking. There are plenty of other guys who do the same but aren't as high profile as him. I also think Silva would beat Jones too. Taken from MMA Junkie: In UFC 158, fans were promised a grudge match in which the champion would be motivated to put a memorable beating on longtime tormentor Diaz. What they got instead was standard St-Pierre fare. As dominant as the champion looked, you wonder if fans won't soon tire of seeing him do the same thing over and over again. After so many successful title defenses, it's getting harder to find a fighter or a style over which St-Pierre hasn't already proved his mastery. Wrestlers can't strike with him, and strikers can't out-wrestle him. That's where Hendricks comes in.
  24. If it's a case of him being much better than everyone else and as other guys have mentioned about him looking bigger, maybe it's about time he looked at a fight with Anderson Silva. I for one would love to see Silva give him a right good beating.
  25. GSP doesn't even look for a finish anymore. He just bores the tits off me. Ever since Matt Serra caught him, he's played every fight safe. Unfortunately, that's the only way anybody is going to beat him is by someone doing a Serra.
