  1. Just reading back a few posts.

I think the idea of turning the garage at the club into a café is a belter of an idea.

Think how many school bairns walk past there everyday. There’s a buck to be made. There’s also a gym across the road, a van hire yard next door and a few other units as well as the cowp which folk are always running in and out of.

Doing breakfasts and breakfast rolls would be a good earner and a decent coffee is always good too.

  2. No worries buddy. You're correct about PPV buys and bums on seats.

As with every business, they'll do what brings in the most dough for them even if it means overlooking the guys who have earned the right to be at the top of the list.

I just think that the guys like Romero and Souza deserve title shots before a guy who's been out of the picture for a while and not even in their weight class.

You're right about Lesnar too. They can wheel him out every now and again for their purpose. Depending on whether he gets caught taking too much "pre workout" or not.lol.

  3. Cut some of the bullshit out your post and amended it.
Not really having a go - its a business and of course its all about the money.

That's your opinion bud. But the bullshit you've cut out is fact. Georges St Pierre has walked straight from an extended hiatus into a title shot in a division that he wasn't even competing in before he left.

    How's that not a joke?

Aye. It's a business and it's all about making money but the credibility of the whole thing is staring to wane a bit.
  4. I agree with most of that but I'd still like to see Khabib get another chance at Ferguson, hopefully at ufc210.

Maybe he'll hold out for McGregor coming back. I'm not sure if he's had previous for weight cutting issues as I had stopped watching for a bit, but, surely when this is his profession, he'd have the planning of it nailed so that when all the work is done, all he needs to do is stand on the scales, go home, have a big drink of water and a protein shake or two, a decent kip and then have a fight.
  5. UFC is a joke.

Ferguson called it on the stage when he wished him luck with his weight cut. Nurmagomedov should get put back to number 10 and have to make his way through the contenders again.

And GSP takes an extended sabbatical as he knew that he was due a thumping from somebody and walks straight back in the door to a title shot at middleweight. If I were Romero, Souza, Rockhold, Weidman, Mousasi, I'd be rather peeved.

This is how it'll go after this though. GSP will get beat from Bisping and walk straight back into a welterweight title shot. Then Anderson Silva will jump the middleweight queue.

    It's all about the money.

  6. Just done a catch up of this on the train home. Yeah agree, not much to get excited about on there tbh.

PVZ is going to get caught up on the hype train and fast-tracked to a smashing off Joanna isn't she? In saying that not sure it would be a fast-tracking seeing as Letourneau has managed to get herself a title shot from outside the top 10. Strange division.

Props to Johnson for still attacking and trying to win the championship rounds when he had it so obviously tied up. He is a cardio and footwork machine. I'm not convinced he's going to manage to keep away from some of the heavy hands in that division forever, and not buying into the best p4p hype, but the chasing pack have to get fitter to live with him for 25 minutes before anything happens to mix the division up.

Agree with the Arlovski decision, he won 1+3, no idea what the boos raining down was all about. First round you might say could have gone either way but hardly a bizarre decision. Mir wasn't anything like pro-active enough to have warranted the decision.

Jimi Manuwa looked well out of his depth against Rumble.

Prelims are worth a watch for the Lineker-Rivera slugfest (for as long as it lasted) and Collard-Trator

Big Frank looked to have took his training camp serious.lol At one point I thought Arlovski was fighting Roy Nelson such was the nature of the Gene Kelly on him.

  7. Not uncommon for fights to break out at Muay Thai and MMA shows in Scotland. People get absolutely slaughtered then fired up by what they're watching. On the most part I reckon the crowd will be good spirited though.

They'll have to be good spirited or it'll be the first and last.

  8. McGregor is a bellend. It's awful he's got a title fight fighting nobodies.

There's a couple of boys that have ended up getting title fights through mouthing off about the champion.

The UFC won't grumble about such things as it puts bums on seats and generates PPV buys.

  9. He's a white belt who rates himself "at around purple belt level". One of the most ridiculous statement I've heard in a while. If the segment of him kicking the bag backstage a few years ago in WWE are anything to go by he's barely ever done any Thai.

As I said. I only heard this. Surely though the UFC aren't going to stick a high profile person like him in a cage for cannon fodder.

It would be a bit of an expensive venture for them to do that.

  10. What credentials does he have? Is he not a white / blue belt in BJJ? Does he have any other combat sports experience?

Brock was a high level college wrestler.

Don't quote me on this but I've heard he was a bit higher than a blue belt and he also has Muay Thai or some other experience.

If this is true then he's obviously had a punch of two in the puss and could possibly look after himself on the ground. Along with the fact he's been a WWE superstar, he'll put bums on seats and sell PPV's.

Good luck to the guy. I've not had the channels that show the UFC for a while as I was getting bored with it, so sometimes things like this give it a bit of an injection.

  11. Brock Lesnar made his name in UFC. Not in WWE. CM Punk made his name in WWE. Big difference.

I reckon more people knew him as Brock Lesnar from the WWE. UFC has nowhere near the interest or fan base as WWE. At least CM Punk has got some genuine credentials about him for MMA.

  12. I strongly suspect that Gudderman is on the wind up. If he said he doesn't like Rollins then fair enough, as everyone has their likes and dislikes. But to come out with the stuff about him 'not looking the part' and lacking charisma is silly.

He disnae look the part. His hair and beard are ridiculous. His chat is dire. He's the wrong size or shape for the gear they have him wearing too.

Now, it's aw about opinions, but when this turkey comes on, I press fast forward.

  13. The briefcase guy is Seth Rollins, one of the best talents on the roster, match of the year candidate and future champion- sound guy.

It would also be a bit difficult to book Warrior for these events, considering he's dead.

I know he's deed. Read what I wrote again. I'm talking about what they did with him and Hogan years ago.

Your briefcase man is woeful. Nae charisma. Disnae even look the part.

  14. How shite is the WWE these days?

What is that skinny boy with the half bleached heed, ridiculous beard and a dented briefcase all about? Is this the best that they can turn out these days?

They need to get back to having matches with the big names against, as Gorilla Monsoon put it "ham and eggers" like in the days of Wrestling Challenge and Superstars. You hardly ever see the proper big names like Hogan and the Warrior until the big events which built a bit of anticipation. The big events now are just like a regular episode of Raw or Smackdoon. The same boys are matched against each other roughly all the time at these and the PPV events. The only buck in the trend is Brock Lesnar.

And who came up with Adam Rose and his crowd or Bo Dallas?

  15. It's a bit 'fairy tale' but it would be awesome for all the big guns to come back and face Lesner in the coming months until the end of the year. Cena, Batista, Reigns, even HHH. Maybe The Rock back if available for a shot around Royal Rumble. All to get destroyed by Lesner. Only for Undertaker to come back 'out of the blue' and beat Lesner at next years Wrestlemania in a proper swan-song victory winning the belt then recinding it and retiring.

They could always use Sting as the man to beat Lesnar.
